Freeworlds: Tides of War is a fan built Star Wars total conversion mod for Digital Anvil's Freelancer game that was released several years ago. When fans began to make mods for Freelancer, one of the many things people were keen on seeing was a Freelancer mod based on the Star Wars universe developed by George Lucas. Freeworlds and Tides of War were the answer to this outcry. The development team of both mods have now joined forces to create an epic new Star Wars TC, Freeworlds: Tides of War.

Usually does, but we have the debris removed quicker when there is more strain on the server.

Nope. We're an era specific mod and venators have been almost all replaced by 8-12 ABY.

We may do a clone wars specific mod down the road, though.

I simply can't wait to start playing this gorgeous mod, too bad you changed the release date :(. Anyway wanted to ask can anyone have Star Destroyers and other capital ships if you work hard enough or only "some" players like clan leaders and such, also is it possible for players to use that "Debug Info" or only devs can? I'm interested coz i would like to see the fps, cpu usage and such.

Btw Clone Wars era would be bloody awesome. Even tho Old Republic era is my favorite, Clone Wars is next in line and would like to see it :P

Imperial Star Destroyers will be VERY rare for players to pilot due to a variety of reasons. The Imperial Faction will have to spend A LOT of resources crafting it.

As for the debug info, we'll leave it in the mod, most likely. You'll just have to turn it on.

As for the Clone Wars mod, it will most likely happen in conjunction with Tides of War: Clone Wars (an already existing mod here)

Well i'm glad "anyone" can use them as long as they grind enough resources and credits, i asked because some mods give capital ships only to admins or 1 capital ship per clan which i always found it to be very stupid.

Could you explain how to turn on the debug info or you will tell us that on release ???

Ahh yes Tides of War: Clone Wars, i'm tracking it already but it didn't have any update so i forgot about it :D.

Ya, to echo FF's comments, no single player would be able to amass enough resources to even think about getting a capital ship as big as the ISD. For general civilians, the biggest craft will be the CR90, which will be a feat in itself to create for a Civilian.

Key here is "faction". No lone player will be able to get a capital ship of even medium size within a realistic time frame.

Maybe one day you will be able to make a whole era-storyline, which for instance commences at the time of episode 1 and ends at the time of episode 6. So new technologies will be developed, going from acclamators and venators over Victory class to Imperial class Star Destroyers. I don't know whether the game and server code actually allows such a complexity, but you have already achieved so much that hardly anybody would have expected some years ago and if the game will really attract the masses, who knows what you will still be able to achieve.

Do you know that all of your Imperial Cruisers were all saying HMS? Last I checked, the Imps didn't use anything like that, as far as I'm concerned. Other than that tiny text issue, I'd say that this looks ready to be played. Keep up the great Work!
