I don't recommend this mod. First time I've tried it manly because I thought it would eliminate the popping of grass - it does everything but that. Also, grass is unrealistically shiny for some reason, water surface looks like jello, and some textures aren't replaced. Sure the sand looks nice, but the rock next to it is horrible compared. If you're changing textures then change everything. Lots of good improvements, like aiming and underwater, but I just can't go over the bad ones. Sorry.

Set how many players you want in game and then set number of bots and start the game and they will spawn.

Note that they are not really good as they get stuck in water and just jump in place, but it's still a good fun.

Still not getting used to Moddb's guest comment system.

The water shader seems to be messed up, and character animation goes laggy at a certain distance, any way to fix that?

Resolved, deleting the CryGame.dll from the Bin32 folder included in the mod fixed the character animation lag at large distances, and deleting fire_noise.dds from the Textures folder fixed the water shader bug.

Thanx, I was bothered too when I noticed those laggy animations at bigger distance, also why do characters change to low quality when observed from distance? And any possibility to add other mercenaries as playable MP characters?

There are soo many of them and yet game uses so little.

The best unofficial mega mod patch that tries to stay true to the spirit of Far Cry and also breathes new life into a much loved old game.

Nice fixes and additional features, but I wish I could get the mod WITHOUT the visual changes. It destroys the original lighting with its own post processing, janks up the texture mapping to makes things like wood look horrible, and just generally messes around with some of the textures to negative effect. Removed purely because it makes the game look WORSE.
