Sorry but this grass looks like its lying aon the ground instead of growing out of it...
Again, can be fixed or reduced with the help of mapping :)

Seeing that it's a texture map (Of actual grass) and not an actual mesh it would be impossible otherwise.
the grass was an early version. it has been replaced long time ago with better ones. flat looking textures is because far cry only has a few dds/normal maps. im guessing around 1-5%
to change that, scripts need to be edited. and thats not a simple job
