This is a Singleplayer and Multiplayer mod for FarCry. Its main function is to fix, add and improve FarCry. The FarCry Unofficial Patch side of this project includes all the fixes without the graphical update. These are a must have for FarCry lovers :)

FCAM (FarCry Addon Mod) 1.96 - Many fixes, mosty stable release yet! With 64bit compatibility and the FCAM Launcher 1.2 its never been easier to enjoy the mod! Thanks to the the team (Mixer, Silenoz and Garbitos) and myself, for a variety of fixes, additions and enhancements. We have come along way and are proud to release this next new version. Enjoy! NOTE!!! - Please install this full edition as there will not be a patch form. Patches after this 1.96 release however will come. But this MUST be installed before anything else. *UPDATE* 1/11/2011 FCAM 1.96 has been released as a full ONLY because of many file structure fixes and launcher fix! Hello there, i just wanted to know if this patch fixes the a.i. seeing through walls bug that came with the 1.4 version patch.

it does fix this bug. so do earlier versions of this patch (known previously as the 1.41, 1.42, and 1.43 community patch (there were several versions, FCAM 1.5, and maybe some others). Also the newer version fixes this bug as well (FCAM 1.99).
Um whenever i try to extract it it says that the EXE is corrupted/broken unless i am not doing something right i have redownloaded this about 3 times with no changes
Try running as an administrator :)

Not what i asked -_-
I said that i am unable to EXTRACT the EXE both WinRAR and 7Zip say that the EXE inside the .zip file is corrupted
My mistake :) try re-downloading in a day or so. Sometimes the mirror plays up and causes downloads to play up.

I dont know if this helps but I had the same exact problem with "Cry of Fear" HL1 mod but when i tried it with Desura it worked.
It does in a way. I have posted some questions on the front page, but if this is the case, you can perhaps wait till FCAM goes on Desura (soon, i have been speaking to a Moderator about it).

To be exact the error when i extract is:
CRC Failed in 'FCAM (Far Cry Addon Mod) 1.96.exe' File is broken
Does this improve graphics? I'm afraid my laptop won't be able to handle the improved graphics.
It does, but it also optimises, so its quite possible for it to run better :)

Is there any way you could add a fix for the water reflection issue that has been present in Far Cry since Vista? Land is not reflected, only foliage and objects.
Unfortunatly not really, We dont not have advanced enough shader scripters to fix this :(

Hello, I am running Win7 64bit. I installed Far Cry today, patched to 1.4 from 1.0 and I installed this mod. The mod gives me an error message right away about not being able to write to clean.bat then it gives me retry, abort or ignore as options.
Any help or ideas? I am downloading the mod again right now to see if that will help. Thanks!
Try running as an admin, also some anti-virus software might block it as it wants to remove uneeded files from the FCAM directory due to changes over time.

I got the mod installed, thanks but now I have some msvcp71_dll error. I googled it and followed the directions but the game still doesn't recognize the dll file in sys32. Maybe I'm not meant to play it ;o
Sounds like you have an issue with the standard installation with FarCry itself. This has nothing to do with the mod (as it does not change the game engine). So im not sure what your issue is (as it could be many factors) Perhaps more information can help?
I do suggest to make sure all drivers are up to date, as well as directX and any other drivers needed (Windows ones also). I also think a re-install (starting by removing the 1.4 patch first! Can be done by launching the patch again).
This way you make sure your all up to date and then reinstall to make sure you do in the correct directory etc etc.

Hello it doesn't seems to work for me whenever I try to run It I get an error.
"Sunday..." error.
Then the launcher loads but when i click Launch FCAM 32 bits, It says "Error could no load FarCry 32 bits".
I tried doing it by run as admin and it doesn't give me the "Sunday" error, but it gives me the "Could no load FarCry 32 bits" error.
Can you help me please I would like to play this MOD.

Yeh, you probably have the Steam version? This can cause issues...
