This is a Singleplayer and Multiplayer mod for FarCry. Its main function is to fix, add and improve FarCry. The FarCry Unofficial Patch side of this project includes all the fixes without the graphical update. These are a must have for FarCry lovers :)
Well this is the final version of FCAM. It has come a very long way and am highly proud and thankful to all those who have helped me make this mod what it is now. An excellent expansion for FarCry!
Do you plan to work on Space Chaos and when you finish it, then TDS 2?
I am currently porting Space Chaos over to my new engine (OrangeEngine 2) as it is mostly done, have also started a new game that is about 40% done (on the new engine) and will hopefully START picking back up work with TDS and maybe more of FCAM..
Cheers
Garcy
Space Chaos and TDS2 will be working on at the same time. As TDS2's Scripts are pretty much where they need to be there is not a lot of time consuming work to be done on my part, just some fixes and stuff here and there. Mainly the mapper has a lot on his hands. But i will definatly be helping him out!

I haven't hear about TDS2 for a long time. For how many percent do you think it is done? 75%?
Cheers Cheers XD
Since we now have a mapper, things should be moving along nicely as that is what was holding us down. Percentage wise not sure, but at least i gets the base from FCAM so that makes up most of the mod there :)

8 mins to download 1GB of near perfection, cheers for the final version.
Thanks mate! I hope you enjoy :)
This is pretty much a FCAM 2 beta if you will as it contains come of Darooz textures.

For some unknown reason i can launch FCAM in 64 bit mode
Hahaha why unknown reason?

Garcy
i think he mean he can`t launch. And I can`t launch either.
Hes right i meant that i can't launch it.
Good job for this mod !
I would like to increase the Fielf Of View, but the vanilla method doesn't seem to work. I tried to modify the NoZoom var in the file "FCAM\Scripts\Default\HUD", without effect. But the FOV is wider than the vanilla FOV, so I guess you introduced a new var or a new function to force the FOV in this mod. How can I increase it ?
Help please :)
Thanks mate!
FOV is dependant on the screen resolution. This so that widescreen monitors dont look stupid. Do want to increase view distance of FOV (width/field of view)?
Cheers
Garcy
I am playing in 1920x1080 and I would like to have a better FOV . I used to play the vanilla game with FOV 130 instead of FOV 90. In FCAM I have the feeling that the FOV is about 100 or 110 in 1920x1080, it is too small for me and I don't see in what file the FOV must be changed :(
Ahhh ok, i will have a look and get back to you on it :)
Cheers
Garcy
Sorry i have not gotten back to you sooner i have been pretty busy but will look at things soon. I made a post on the front page of this moddb profile about a little more detail about it. So you are running at 1920x1080? Able to supply a screenshot of what it looks like for you?
Cheers
Garcy
Of course. Here is a screenshot at 1920x1080 :
Uppix.net
And a screenshot without mod, with FOV 130 ("NoZoom = 130 * 3.1415962 / 180" in the file \Far Cry\Scripts\Default\Hud\ZoomView.lua") :

I used to play vanilla Far Cry this way, and I would love to play FCAM with the same FOV.
Very, very sorry for the late reply!
Will check tonight for you as i am currently at college.

I ment to write that i can't run 64 bit version. I get an error that for some reason it couldn't run 64bit version and asks if i want to try 32 bit instead.
Does it work under 32bit mate?

The Launcher wont work. I keep getting errors when I try to launch the game. Any advise on the GoG.com Version?
Unfortunately i do not have the GoG version, try and find someone who has mods working with that version of the game and contact them :)

Just add to the shortcut "-mod:FCAM -DEVMODE" (without the " )

How do you install this in the Steam version of the game? I keep on getting an error using both 32 bit and 64 bit.

The mod does work with the steam version, just be sure to put it in the correct place (i dont know where, dont have steam).
If installed correctly 32bit should always work.
FarCry 1.4 is needed.

do i need any patches with the steam version to make it work?
such as amd64 or a previous patch like 1.3?
64 Bit version does NOT support mods as the SDK was never released for the 64 bit version. Furthermore the 64 bit version is on patch version 1.3, and this requires the 1.4 patch, so it NEEDS the 32 bit version.
