First, to apply my mods you must download and setup ME3Explorer. Here's the setup instructions to get it ready to apply mods:
The actual *.mod files are applied by loading them into Mod Maker under the Tools menu and selecting Run menu item, then run all. Clear all jobs before loading another mod and while you can load multiple mods and run them in the same instance, it is better not to (the app is still in development and could crash on you in the middle of a massive list of jobs). Wait until you get a small popup window indicating success before you try to load another mod or close the app and play the game. It can take a couple minutes. To install TPF texture files use TPF Tools 2, also in the Tools menu. Load the tpf, click "Analyze with Texplorer, then click "Install Valid".

I've long wanted to make EDI look more human and less obviously robotic, particularly since she becomes a love interest for one of the human characters in the game. Let's make her less sexbot and more human, while still keeping her synthetic-looking. I eliminated her plastic hair helmet shape and replaced it with a hair mesh. I've given her ears and complete eyelashes. I've used her predecessor's head, Eva, as the base and replaced Eva's face with EDI's face. Originally I tried using Eva's skin texture too but just didn't like the way it looked and so have decided to stick with EDI's grey/green skin tone but with human features. I also originally used Eva's hair and it worked fairly well, but just didn't look right to me on EDI, plus it is difficult blending the scalp texture into the hair texture so instead I went looking for a new hair-mesh that was roughly reminiscent of EDI's hair-helmet (part on right side, swept across forehead). Ashley's hair fits that bill but it is too long so I gave it a haircut. I had tried several other hair meshes as possibles but kept going back to a modified Ashley.

These dll files need to be placed in your Mass Effect 3 binary/win32 directory. One of them, Binkw32.dll, replaces the native game dll of the same name...

Whenever I use this mod at the same time as the High Res pack I get crashes, specifically on the Normandy's bridge.

I discovered a boo boo in the big EDI mod. The mod fails to replace EDI's default head in BioH_EDI_01.pcc. I've updated the mod and have uploaded a fix.

If you already installed the previous mod then you only need to run the first job in the list when you load the mod in mod maker. Select "Run some" in the "Run" menu, click the box next to the top job in the list that appears, and run it.

Do you mean you are manually installing the mesh upk files and the game crashes? If so, after you install the meshes into the various pcc files, you need to run TOCBinUpdater on your game's PCConsoleTOC.bin file in the BIOGame folder. After it finishes then you should be able to run the game.

Install the textures first, wait until the little popup box shows up saying it finished (takes a while) and then do the mesh part and finish with TOCBinUpdater (tools menu, me3explorer).

Install order appears to matter. Install the textures (tpf) first via TPF Tools 2 in the Me3explorer Tools menu, then install the *.mod file via Mod Maker, also in under the Tools menu.

The EDI mod update is complete and now available. The new mod is all-inclusive, applying to both the Main Game and DLC (alt appearance pack 1, Citadel, Leviation). The zip contains a *.mod file containing the material changes and mesh changes and the *.tpf is the textures. For this mod to work properly you must install the textures provided. The new mod eliminates the gloss/shine to her skin, improves facial animation, improves the appearance of her teeth and tongue, and makes her hair dark brown. If you have Collector's Edition of ME3, then the DLC portion of the mod MIGHT not apply, or may only apply to some of your DLC (because Collector's Edition changes names or addressing for the textures or meshes vs standard game). For that situation, there is a manual install mod provided - it needs to be updated still to include the new face/head but otherwise is usable. I will update the manual install mod over the next day or so.

The EDI mod update is nearing completion. A texture glitch that has been driving me nuts is now virtually gone. A couple more in game tests on my part and I will then create the actual mod file for release.
