Updated 7/17/14. I've corrected some issues in the original mod and made improvements. This mod applies to the ENTIRE game, main and DLC. It is in two...
First, to apply my mods you must download and setup ME3Explorer. Here's the setup instructions to get it ready to apply mods: Me3explorer.freeforums.org
The actual *.mod files are applied by loading them into Mod Maker under the Tools menu and selecting Run menu item, then run all. Clear all jobs before loading another mod and while you can load multiple mods and run them in the same instance, it is better not to (the app is still in development and could crash on you in the middle of a massive list of jobs). Wait until you get a small popup window indicating success before you try to load another mod or close the app and play the game. It can take a couple minutes. To install TPF texture files use TPF Tools 2, also in the Tools menu. Load the tpf, click "Analyze with Texplorer, then click "Install Valid".
I've long wanted to make EDI look more human and less obviously robotic, particularly since she becomes a love interest for one of the human characters in the game. Let's make her less sexbot and more human, while still keeping her synthetic-looking. I eliminated her plastic hair helmet shape and replaced it with a hair mesh. I've given her ears and complete eyelashes. I've used her predecessor's head, Eva, as the base and replaced Eva's face with EDI's face. Originally I tried using Eva's skin texture too but just didn't like the way it looked and so have decided to stick with EDI's grey/green skin tone but with human features. I also originally used Eva's hair and it worked fairly well, but just didn't look right to me on EDI, plus it is difficult blending the scalp texture into the hair texture so instead I went looking for a new hair-mesh that was roughly reminiscent of EDI's hair-helmet (part on right side, swept across forehead). Ashley's hair fits that bill but it is too long so I gave it a haircut. I had tried several other hair meshes as possibles but kept going back to a modified Ashley.
