I've long wanted to make EDI look more human and less obviously robotic, particularly since she becomes a love interest for one of the human characters in the game. Let's make her less sexbot and more human, while still keeping her synthetic-looking. I eliminated her plastic hair helmet shape and replaced it with a hair mesh. I've given her ears and complete eyelashes. I've used her predecessor's head, Eva, as the base and replaced Eva's face with EDI's face. Originally I tried using Eva's skin texture too but just didn't like the way it looked and so have decided to stick with EDI's grey/green skin tone but with human features. I also originally used Eva's hair and it worked fairly well, but just didn't look right to me on EDI, plus it is difficult blending the scalp texture into the hair texture so instead I went looking for a new hair-mesh that was roughly reminiscent of EDI's hair-helmet (part on right side, swept across forehead). Ashley's hair fits that bill but it is too long so I gave it a haircut. I had tried several other hair meshes as possibles but kept going back to a modified Ashley.

DLC versions of this mod will have to wait since it is quite complicated to get them working for users other than myself. In the meantime I've updated the mod and released it as a compressed file containing ME3 game pcc files. Instructions are in the zip. I've tested them during actual gameplay on my own system and have experienced no issues.

This mod will soon be re-released as a DLC instead of *.mod file(s). Stay tuned.

Does this mod work with the High Resolution Mod by Aralakh?

Whenever I use this mod at the same time as the High Res pack I get crashes, specifically on the Normandy's bridge.

So long as the scalp texture remains untouched by Aralakh then this mod should work - also so long as the Aralakh mod doesn't try to install a texture for EDI's default robot body. I've eliminated that and replaced it with the smooth, covered body.

I discovered a boo boo in the big EDI mod. The mod fails to replace EDI's default head in BioH_EDI_01.pcc. I've updated the mod and have uploaded a fix.

If you already installed the previous mod then you only need to run the first job in the list when you load the mod in mod maker. Select "Run some" in the "Run" menu, click the box next to the top job in the list that appears, and run it.

Hey, could you do a a solid and tell me how you were able to modify edi's mesh? Because when i try to do it, the game crashes on startup when I replace the mesh.

Do you mean you are manually installing the mesh upk files and the game crashes? If so, after you install the meshes into the various pcc files, you need to run TOCBinUpdater on your game's PCConsoleTOC.bin file in the BIOGame folder. After it finishes then you should be able to run the game.

Install the textures first, wait until the little popup box shows up saying it finished (takes a while) and then do the mesh part and finish with TOCBinUpdater (tools menu, me3explorer).
