PLEASE READ:

  • Creating new empires or modifying the existing ones is NOT recommended! Doing so will probably cause bugs and disable some features of the mod. Instead, please use the pre-scripted empires as they are. They are neatly created and balanced.
  • Mod will force its own empires to spawn first (up to 12 empires, then game will start creating random empires). Just make sure you dont force your own custom empires to start, unless that's what you want.
  • These DLC's are required for mod to work properly:
    - Utopia (required to play as/against Daleks, Oods and for new traditions to work properly)
    - Synthetic Dawn (required to play as/against Cybermen)

Summary:

  • TARDIS science ship model for Time Lords.
  • 12 species from the British TV Show Doctor Who:
    - Time Lords
    - Daleks
    - Cybermen
    - Sontarans
    - Silence
    - Weeping Angels
    - Zygons
    - Oods
    - Judoons
    - Silurians
    - Ice Warriors
    - Raxacoricofallapatorians
  • All species has few balanced unique bonuses (through civics, traits and tech) in accordance with their story-line in the TV Show. See below for more info.
  • 12 Custom made Empires out of the Doctor Who species to play with. Game will prioritize Doctor Who empires over vanilla ones. So you don't have to worry about that!
  • Unique tech for Time Lords and Daleks.
  • +30 Events from the show.
  • Three new tradition categories: Militaristic, Scientific, Economics. Each category is available for certain Empires at the game start but can be stolen through required Ascension Perks by other Empires later on.
  • +50 portraits from the show.
  • Full Regeneration System through events (9th to 13th Doctor including Jodie Whittaker). Each regeneration will take place in every 50 years. Companions will join the Doctor in-between the regenerations.
  • Greeting sounds from the show for each species.
  • Doctor Who themed loading screens and start screen.
  • Gallifreyan clothes for Time Lords.
  • Mod supports: English.
  • 13 Companions of the Doctor in total:
    - Master
    - The General
    - Rose Tyler
    - Jack Harkness
    - Martha Jones
    - Donna Noble
    - River Song
    - Amy Pond
    - Rory Williams
    - Clara Oswald
    - Ashildr
    - Bill Potts
    - Nardole
  • And more Doctor Who flavoured stuff!♫♫♫

Species' Bonus Summary

  • Time Lords can travel much faster in space than other empires if they research their TARDIS techs. They are also fast researchers and surveyers. And they can have their unique and superior shields upon researching the related tech.
  • Daleks are fanatic purifiers with much bigger rivalry cap. They can access to their superior armors and radar systems through related techs. They can also terraform faster, deploy special army "Cult of Skaro" and have faster pop growth through related techs.
  • Cybermen are Driven Assimilators and will be able to assembly pops much faster.
  • Sontarans will not be able to evade from battle. They will fight to death like an honourable Sontaran! But they will get some militaristic bonuses. When they are at war, they will get +100% Monthly Unity and +5 Monthly Influence.
  • Weeping Angels will never need food for their pops. They will also get 80% habitability bonus. After all, they are not your usual organic life form!
  • Silence will not be affected by happiness. They also use their telepathic powers to attract other species to live on their planets without them knowing (+50% immigration pull).
  • Judoons will have cheaper tradition cost and better planet sensor.
  • Ice Warriors will have a slight army damage and habitability bonus.
  • Silurians will be able clear blockers 50% faster. And since they have a good experience living underground, their mineral output will be 25% bigger.
  • Oods will get montly unity bonus thanks to their hivemind feature. And they will build planet buildings 100% faster.
  • Raxacoricofallapatorians are one of the biggest touristic empires in the universe, so they will be able to build mega structures 100% faster. They get more influence from factions and they also get more unity from jobs.
  • Zygons are great colonists and they will get +3 pops when establishing a new colony.

**Installation instructions are in the mod file.

In August, console Stellaris players are getting the new Aquatics species as part of the expansion pass. PC players, though they already have this content, may be feeling a little forgotten - but never fear! PC players never miss out thanks to modding, and so here's five stellar (heheh) mods for Stellaris!

Doctor Who Mod for Stellaris

By JoWi

ss2.2.1

Twelve new empires from the iconic (and pretty cheerfully hammy!) British sci-fi show Doctor Who take centre stage in this mod, with all the funk that comes with it. You've got the enigmatic Time Lords, the vicious Daleks, and the emotionless Cybermen, but also nine other Doctor Who aliens that made their mark. Moreover, the Doctor himself features with thirteen companions from the past of the show with their own changes on the game's sandbox. All in all? An unexpected but great little total conversion.

Stellaris - Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

By V0lt4ge

design ID 5

This mod features lots of new technologies, including a next generation warp/hyper/jump drive based on the HHG saga, Deep Thought and the Infinite Improbability Drive! A new research chain also joins the new technologies available that greatly affect the technological advancement of the game, as well as other new buildings that help get you in on the sci-fi (which, now that I think of it, a lot of classic British sci-fi has snuck it's way into the Stellaris total conversion scene...which is fine by me!)

Star Wars: A Galaxy Divided

By LastLeviathan

Republic Ships Patrolling Tython

Star Wars: A Galaxy Divided is a mod meant to transport players into the Star Wars universe within Stellaris. Using Legends canon, the mod is primarily set within the Old Republic timeline and includes a variety of factions and other content representative of that Era. Star Wars is a clear and obvious candidate for a total conversion for any space simulator and Stellaris is no exception, giving you phenomenal control over a fan-favourite era of the Legends continuity.

Stellaris Zero

By Lord_bobyness

Smuggler Fleet

Stellaris Zero is a mechanics overhaul mod focused around overhauling the internal management aspect of the game. With everything from political parties to pirate empires to redesigned rebellions, the goal is to improve upon the under-utilized systems in the game. Mainly, factions and governments. All the vanilla government types have been removed and replaced with just a few new one, as one example of the solid consolidation undertaken as part of this mod's goals.

Homeworld: Conquest

By Pangolins

Image 2

Homeworld is a key name in large-scale sci-fi strategy, testing players and their tactical skills to the brink. The games generally focus on the moment-to-moment strategy inside an encounter, but for those who prefer the grand-scale meta-game of political intrigue and resource management between encounters, this mod adds an extra layer to the complicated yet rewarding Homeworld series.

Stellar Scale

Stellaris is the grand-scale cosmic civilisation game created by Paradox Interactive. The game places a serious emphasis on political intrigue, resource management, and overall, the "background details" about how a civilisation is run. Mechanics factor in the happiness of populations, as well as the background of your species, which can range from negotiable businessmen to genocidal, purification-obsessed maniacs. In such a sandbox, an easy way to expand the replay value hugely is to add just a little bit extra into the mix - as with Stellaris' many species expansion packs that add new options for players. The console release was a bit behind on these, but now, the Aquatics pack is making its way to console as well, bringing the two platforms closer to parity.

Galaxy

Stellaris' grand-scale strategy is the very definition of butterfly effects,
with huge consequences in late-stage games for decisions made early on

Outer Frontier

The game's expansions are available all on Steam right now on sale, but console players will need to wait until August 25th for the Aquatics expansion. If the average length of a Stellaris campaign is any indication, you might be able to fit in a few engagements before then!

Just discovered this mod. Wonderful, I'm about to download it via Steam. One question, are you planning on adding Doctors 1 to 8 to the regeneration system? I can imagine, since you are clearly a big fan, that you must be thinking about doing this, right?

Of course I'd add them too but I'm not sure if I can find fitting pictures of them for the game. But I will look into that. Have fun!

Theres some interesting stuff coming up in the new patches so I think support for those will be very much appreciated.
I played a few rounds with version 1 and indeed it was quite overpowered I would do in 50 years what would usually take me 200 years with a normal race.

I wasn't sure (or lets say not confident) about the overpowered traits in the version 1 and I thought it could be annoying for some players so that's why I removed them in version 1.2.

Also I'm following the upcoming updates from Stellaris and I will update the mod accordingly. But I've been working a lot for this mod lately so I will take few weeks off. After that, I will keep updating the mod. Have fun and send me suggestions and ideas for the next versions!
