Dark Interval is a restoration/revision mod that lets you play Half-Life 2 as it could have been. Using Valve's early concepts, we're creating new maps, models, textures, and custom dialogue. The mod is released in episodes, the most recent being Dark Interval: Part I - an intro chapter to the bigger story.
I love the combine architecture at work here! Is there anything special about the Elite unit stats, or are they simply reskins?
They have slightly better stats, and this particular Elite here has .357 to humiliate you.
Nice. Always wondered why there aren't mods that have enemies use the Colt Anaconda/.357 Magnum.
Agreed, they really seem to have an understanding of Half-Life's architecture.
Will there be CPs with trenchcoats in the canals? You've already had CPs with shotguns in the Part 1, I'd like to see the beta metrocop concept see new life in your mod.
That old draft is actually for the "Combine Guard" (not to be confused with the cybernetic version), which, at that time, was the general concept - or one of the concepts - for human Combine troops.
The CPs weren't meant to wear trenchcoats, it was for the soldiers, but then the desing was eventually changed; the soldiers retained their helmet design (the metrocop helmet is different, albeit similar looking in general), and parts of the trenchcoat design went into early metrocop units (the armour vest did).
We're not doing anything on that particular design currently.
Are you going to add the OICW?

To clarify the image A-Shift linked. We have a model for it built from the ground up but it's still early WIP as weapon mechanics go, so we won't be showing it for a while. But yes, it will be included.
Really nice use of the combine geometry. I wonder what those huge supports are holding up.
