D-day! a mod that needs no introduction... but just in case:
D-day is a Would War II TC mod for the highly popular game Red Alert 2: Yuri’s Revenge, is the largest & longest running mod for RA2 to date. With hundreds of highly detailed & accurate units from WW2 (& also pre/post war). You’ll have plenty of opportunities to fight the good fight on land, sea & air. There are eight playable countries in D-day, as well as several other non-playable ones that only appear in missions.
The playable sides are:
- America
- Great Britain
- France
- Soviet Union
- Germany
- Italy
- Hungary
- Japan
The pride of D-day is the DTX terrain, which completely changes RA2’s cartoony look into a gritty WW2 landscape that has been heavily researched to create an authentic atmosphere. D-day also features maps of such places as Berlin, Stalingrad, Kursk, El Almain & even New York! Created using battlefield maps & period photos to get the highest accuracy possible.

The United States Marine Corps are storming onto D-day's beaches to join the American side as a new sub-faction!
To play the new USMC sub-faction, simply start a game as America but after deploying your construction vehicle you'll be given the choice to play as either the Army or the Marine Corps.
Picking the Army will give you access to the normal selection of units, which are predominantly from the European theater of WW2. Choosing to play as the Marine Corps however will let you use units from the Pacific theater, such as the LVT-4 transport, the LVT(A)-4 artillery & the LVTAA-X2 anti-air tank. They also use a different selection of aircraft from the army, instead using simpler & more robust planes like the TBD Devastator, F4F Wildcat & F6F Hellcat.

When I was playing this mod, the French base shows only a grey-cube shape and at the top says "PLACEHOLDER", does anyone have the same problem with the mod?
I can't see japan and hungaray... :[

Hi ! I played with italian (my country) its awesome.. but i have a couple of questions:- all is ok a part that i dont see french buildings..they are a sort of grey building with written "placehold".. then - its normal that i have only 5 maps? and i dont have seaport^^ !! rest is all ok!

You know I've tried to find a map packs on this game but I wasn't able to find 1.
The french buildings use temporary "placeholders" & will be replaced in the future. More maps are being worked on by they can take quite awhile to complete. Naval warfare is still being worked on too & again will be added in future releases.

You need the test version of Ares v0.3, you also have files from other mods in your RA2 folder that are interfering with D-day, namely mpmodesmd.ini you'll need to remove them.
Japan is still being worked on & Hungary has only just been finished, it will be included in the next release.
woa... I love u !! :D ahah all is gonna be right !! thank u sir Eater.. i have already installed Ares v0.3 .. now i deleted what u said... activeted the mod and start all is ok!! ;) italians too eheh. so tomorrow i ll have a good heavy battle tnx for now and still w8ing for new countrys bb ;)
