In an alternative twist of history. Germany was not defeated in WW2. The world has changed. See description for more info, and backstory.
SdKfz 205 Panzerkampfwagen VIII Ausf.D Maus: First produced during the waning days of WW II, the SdKfz 205 has for over five decades served as the hammer of the Heer, used in cases of breakthrough or mobile defense. Even, today, the Maus is still the largest combat vehicle in the Heer. Always receiving the latest upgrades, the current model of the Maus, SdKfz 205 Panzerkampfwagen VIII Ausf.D, saw a massive improvement over previous incarnations with additional reactive armor, a completely new engine rated at 2800hp, a new transmission, updated suspensions, a new 15cm gun with autoloader (which led to the deletion of the 7.5cm coaxial cannon), a full computer assistance suite, a dual 12.7mm machinegun auto turret, and a full mini-kitchen (located in the hull between the driver’s compartment and the engine). One thing that has not changed over the decades were the sheer expense in the construction of these mammoth tanks, therefore their presence on the battlefield is rather limited, their arrival usually signaling the most intense part of a battle is about to begin. While the upgrades were able to improve the Maus’s top speed to 30km per hour, it is still one of the slowest vehicles in the modern Wehrmacht’s inventory.

Nice. Must say though those massive bolts don't really fit with the rest of the body.
Also, there's a mini kitchen yet no **** bucket?
Well, there's always plenty of empty shell casings to use for those calls to nature...
Real Maus supertanks had a mini ambulance with them and recon motorbikes in a separate hangar.
You forget the PaK-40 that they used to guard the Maus during field maintenance.
The targets will be doing the ******** for the crew anyway.
And if you're afraid ditching the bolts would lose you too much of the details, maybe add a layer of ERA bricks over the thing?
Because the bolts really make it kind of ugly.
Eh, theres only so long you can keep upgrading a tank before its just a polished turd, and the Maus would not be a very good tank to start with.
Rule of Cool, the first iteration of the SAGE engine, what's your point? :P
could u also add the rat as a kind of hero unit ?
The Maus is the epic unit of the German faction (or at least one of the subfactions), the Ratte is simply too large (and due to the limits of the SAGE engine the full potential of the tank can never be implemented)
The Germans will get a MBT/heavy tank (since history took a different route certain terminology may change) as their main tank though.
I feel like this is gonna be heavy and slow as **** in game, but i like it :)
Beautiful... The Maus is one of my favorite tanks :)
Mini-kitchen :P
I bet they make beer and sausages there :P
I really like to play this game! I played RTS games from EA and Westwood since 2001 (Red Alert 2 & Yuri) and then in 2003 i saw this game which has a new 3D models and animations, a simple mouse clicking with intense graphics makes it an epic for me at that time. But from time to time gaming has improved and continues to grow with more demanding GPU and CPU requirements so from dual to 8 cores and those games continues to hole my pocket ^_^. I abandoned Generals many times but this game have always a place in my mind when PC gaming is concern, and so now this 11 year old game has been reinstalled in my windows 8.1 and then starting to mod this for myself. Adding units from other mods and stuffs like weapon range and HP is time consuming but i really like it! Thanks to moddb.com for making this kind of community and since this is my 1st time post so be patient ^_^ to read this long story that i would like to share. Thanks!
I really Appreciated with all you Modders out there! You extend this 11 year old game for another years to come until EA and his partners decided to make a game like that. I try other RTS games but all of them are not suited in my taste, perhaps Starcraft is close but generals is much more versatile and easy to play plus a Superweapons. I really sad when Generals 2 has been cancelled but this is not an issue for me at all. Once again "Thank You Very Much" to those Modders which gave their time and effort us more exiting in this game! ^_^
