(this is not an insult to the model, it just look like a metal box so I had to make the reference)

Type 101A2 MBT: The Type 101 main battle tank is currently the most advanced tank fielded by the PLA. Introduced in 1998, the Type 101 MBT is expected to become the PLA’s standard frontline MBT by 2005. While superficially similar to its immediate predecessor, the Type 100 MBT, the Type 101 contains a number of radical upgrades to enhance its efficiency in defensive combat conditions. While the hull of the of the Type 101 is mostly taken from the Type 100, the turret is of a brand new design, composed of mostly of second generation composite armor. Due to the use of spaced armor, the new turret is much larger than anticipated, creating a gap between the turret and the front of the hull, resulting in a shot trap. The main armament of the Type 101 is still the 122mm smoothbore ZPT 100 gun with autoloader. Secondary armament include a coaxial Type 85 12.7mm heavy machinegun. The Type 101A2 is the latest variant with various improvements including a reworked mantel for ease of manufacturing, a new ZPT 100 gun with shorter barrel, a coaxial Type 58 14.5mm heavy machine gun, a new gunner’s sight, and an improved commander’s periscope.
