Eastern Front is a free mod for Company of Heroes. Following the ethos of mimicking a Relic Entertainment expansion pack, Eastern Front has succeeded in adding two full new factions, the Soviet Red Army and the German Ostheer, packed with unique and exciting units to the existing armies - a feat never before achieved in the Company of Heroes world.
These are the foreign armored units that will be used for the Support Army Tree.
From left to right: Zrinyi II, Panzer 38(t), Carro Armato L6/40 and Semovente 47/32. The vehicles need to be skinned from scratch and animated.
Thanks to BurroDiablo for making these models.
OH MY ******* GOD!!! YOU ARE AWOSOME GUYS NO LIKE YOU EVER EVER!!!!
Italian units :D
most of them, but the panzer 38(t) was of czech design originally, and then used by Germany.
Actually, in mod it is used by Romania as they bought license for producing it, also one of the most common romanian tanks
epic work burro - as always ;)
Thanks, eager to get these skinned asap :)
1=smolev and 4= at-1 3=carocano or something like that
2= probaly a panzer 38(t)
"From left to right: Zrinyi II, Panzer 38(t), Carro Armato L6/40 and Semovente 47/32."
;)
why not the PE hotchkiss too? (without upgrades)
Boring?
I'd rather have these 4 tanks in the image...Plus, its already used by the PE and the devs have stated they don't want this to be a copy of other factions. And personally, I don't like the Hotchkiss.
So are these axis vehicles?
Yes they are. They come as a part of the Ostheer Support Army tree.
such doctrine may be in the USSR)Lend Lease doctrine.
We had a sherman in the break through doctrine once but we removed it and the Su-76 took it's place. However Soviets already use the Studebaker truck (Katuysha).
So nice our LT-38. Keep work guys.
Looking good :)
Hungarian unit...Yeeeah!
Me gusta.
Sorry, i don't know much about italian tanks so i have a question... is the carro armato posted above the same as the P40 of the italians?
@dom77
Nope, this semovente used a 47mm cannon and the P40 used a 75mm one.
Regardless how weak it might look(and in fact it is), it was the "heaviest" vehicle of it class sent to the Eastern Front.
In EF it will have access to AP rounds, to be more effective against medium tanks(and heavies to some degree).
thanks for clarifying...
Great work! It is amazing! Will the Soviets get unique buildings? Just asking! :)
Yes, they will eventually. Ostheer have unique buildings.
very nice, cant wait to see them textured :)
Nice verry nice . Panzer 38 (t) is my favorite from all of those
Nice to see the Hungarians. Even the Italians & Czechs get featured in some mods and games. The Hungarians are a rarity.
Dachshund,

And one more

hope to see more Italian Vehicles
Any ETA on the italian units? With permission I was wondering if I could use them in a small mod of my own. They look absolutely amazing by the way. Truly beautiful.
the small tank on th end looks like a US TD from WoT
Figured these were czech and romanian vehicles.
No one Czech and rest is italian
No, one is Czech in Romanian service [Pz38(t)], one is Hungarian [Zrinyi II], two are Italian [Carro Armato L6/40 and Semovente 47/32]
the hungarian looks like italian Semovette M42 look the link above , is it a license built version ?
If you look at both tanks you'll find, although they look similar, they're definitely not the same. Zrinyi II was considerably bigger.
thx Burro , now i find photos of that Tank , cant await to play with them
Also romanian infantry?
Do I see a semovente?
if so whippee
You do indeed
When I see these new models I was thinking what if you guys add Italy, Romania or Finland as new factions? I know you guys are busy on Ostheer, and I do not anticipate you guys to add new factions soon, but it is still nice to see new factions with unique new units. For example the Italian tank models can be used for Italian Army.
Finland i doubt, it didn't have any heavy tanks so it will be disballanced, also they were the country that wasn't part of the axis but fought Russia, still i would love to see one or two units
