This mod is for all the players frustrated with the cartoony nature of Zero Hour units and buildings. We intend to replace every fanciful unit in Zero Hour with its closest possible real world equivalent, without changing the unit's capabilities.

What does this replace? Inferno cannon.

Will we still consider replacing it with something else now that all the work is done? Probably not.

woah im must say i am pretty impressed with the 0.4 and now this :D great work, will the the tank tracks and wheels spin in the next version and vehicles have lights?...just wondering

Well every time we add a new model at this point we ensure it has spinning wheels. Older models with tank wheels have also been upgraded to make them spin. No vehicles currently have moving tracks but they probably will. Goals for 0.5 are replace all units I am currently unhappy with (U.S. Dozer, Helix, Marauder etc, improve some more particle effects, replace final ingame units such as cargo plane and add one or two buildings.

I'd also like to see the Type 96A/G , Type 99A2 and a few others hopefully appear in 0.5 but perhaps they may appear in later versions.

Excellent. I Was just wondering when the Old PLZ05 texture and model would be improved or remade and here it is.

Perhaps this can be included in a patch for 0.4 ?

This is exactly what I pictured Inferno Cannon would be in real life. PLZ-05 is the correct choice. BTW, there is also a PLZ-45 which I never work out the difference between them.

PLZ-45 was developed in 1980's and PLZ-05 is the successor of it.

PLZ-45 was developed for export. There are reports of a very few PLZ-45 in service with the PLA but they are unconfirmed. The largest operator usage is with export countries.

The PLZ05 uses the PLZ45 chassis which is somewhat modified.

PLZ05 is currently replacing the Type 83 currently in service and it's domestic designation is PLZ04 whereas PLZ05 is the export designation and Western designation.

One suggestion to the texture however could you please position the PLA Logo on the turret on the left hand side the same way as the right side of the turret. Its currently on the chassis.

One more suggestion as well is to change that numbers as seen on the turret. You have the 2009 Parade numbers as seen here:

The PLA does not use parade numbers in official service. They use Three digit numbers as seen in the above photographs depicting the Star logo positioning.

Can't change the star. The resolution of the texture is such that this is the absolute minimum size it can be represented as. Any smaller and it turns into an ugly blob.

Also, would be handy to make these suggestions all at once instead of one by one ;)

Sorry about that. I'll consolidate it into one post next time.

I'm not really asking for the star to be changed but rather positioned the same way as the photographs I have shown.

The other suggestion is to change the unit numbering to the Three digits as shown in the above photographs and links and to position it as shown in the photographs.

To summarize it:

1. Adjust positioning of Star according to links/photographs
2. Change numbering to 3 Digit Scheme according to links/photographs (ZZZ)
3. Adjust positioning of numbering according to links/photographs.
