ShockWave is the best mod ever, but a small update to it is harmless as long the appropriate credit is given to its Creator as well as clearance to do so. This is Intellectual Property and one should follow the proper protocols.
What exactly is your intend with this ?
If this is just going to be a patch (as in it still requires the latest public release of shockwave) as the title suggest there is nothing wrong with it.
However if you're releasing this as a standalone version of your personal version of ShockWave means you would require our permission.
I beg your pardon. So it worked out. I'm just very strong aficionados your mods. It's just a small addition to your fashion. So how tired I wait for your version 1.85 ROTR. So I decided to diversify your mod. The more I talked to one of your tester that you have engaged in a Russian translation. He told me that you do not mind the fan patches.
I'm here and I confirm that I've had a talk with this guy. I expected this fan-patch to be uploaded into the addons section of ShW's page, but I'm not sure if it is possible (because there is a limit of file size, while the patch is obiviously larger than allowed 4-5 mb).
I, however, do mind that you're using GenX models, without so much as proper credits. If you still plan on using those models, send me a PM and we can talk about it. If I don't get a PM, and see more of my models being shown off here, I will consider that as a hostile response and report you to the admins myself.
Then tell me why at the mercy of your mod does not update. And I just, I want to do so, what would those modes which are not updated gained new life. How would peered general, if you connect bolshnstvo units and special effects. You me something needs to be served and I can not understand what it was. I do not write that this is my mod !!! While many will play in this patch that will know that there is a genuine your fashion in which you can play and immerse themselves in their environment such as Rise of the reds, Shockwave, Untitled, GenX, Contra, Firestorm, Reborn, Project Raptor.
1. You did not add credits to any of your images, so people who never knew GenX will assume they are your models. It's true that you didn't write that this is your mod, but you didn't write that it's not your mod either.
2. Some of the models in GenX, like the F-15, are not made by me, therefore I cannot give away their work without their permission. That is why I require people to ask permission before taking models from GenX. It's a matter of respect.
3. Currently all the assets from GenX are reserved for my other mod, Deep Impact, which is not dead. Therefore, you "are" technically stealing models from an active mod.
Look, I'm not saying you absolutely can't use them, however I can't just let them go for nothing either. At the very least you need to credit "all" the original authors, not just Shockwave. I'll be waiting for that PM.
I do indeed not mind fan patches as long as they are exactly what you just said patches and not standalone re-releases.
I'm working on your mod for over a year. I just edit it add other mods. But I do not want to violate your rights as a creator. I'm well aware that this is not very good. But I'm a fan of your mods especially 1.85 Rise of the reds. But for a long time you have it makes no so I decided to try what comes out of this patch.
