xMAX, my query was why is Strauss awarding the Thaumaturgical talisman to every PC who destroys the gargoyle and does not spill the beans to Isaac Abrams? What use will the talisman be to a non-Tremere PC? Instead Strauss could just give the original gift (pearl of Dubai) or simply money.
Also the gifting of the Tremere haven I can understand, though Heather appearing in both the Downtown havens simultaneously is slightly bewildering, but why is Strauss accepting the non-Tremere PC as a member of the Tremere Pyramid as well? This is strictly non-canon as the Tremere never share their secrets with the other clans, unless a very high boon or reward is granted.

Hello gtanushyam. Well... Strauss offers Haven, but only if you didn't betray him and that is not a little thing. And he is anyway "guilty" of something. Belonging to the Camarilla, he builds a Gargoyle (and we guess in a not necessary moment) creating problems also to another camarilla Baron (Isaac in HW). And not only. He doesn't say anything to him and mainly to the Prince. This is a real breakup of any code in Vampires clans. And for that, he reward you with an Haven. Just as... "a secret for a secret". Money (as your suggestion) was not enough, and it could seem like a.. "simple" corruption... And Pearl of Dubai is always in another part of game. About item.. player can just sell it if want. About Heather.. it's a false problem too, because you, as player, cannot be in 2 different places in the same moment. And anyway she, by default, "follows" always the player through the havens. Obviously I have not the "truth" about all this, but I think these changes are acceptable.

Umm, is this intentional?
I started with pretty much all combat stats because I figured I'd try not having non-combat skills carry me and didn't put an extra point into Dex, and the blood-buff tutorial in the tutorial area requires 3 lock-picking, but with the blood-buff I still only have 2 lock-picking so it's a soft-lock. Am I missing something or is it possible to literally soft-lock the tutorial by not having certain stats?

Which UP version (name of the .exe file) do you have installed from moddb and which vampire class? I guess, for now, just an UP wrong version.

I used the instructions in the .ini inside the rar for latest version.
Installed plus patch, launched the game, then installed this mod using the installer .exe, only optional thing I used was the Anaconda black skin. Then I launched the game from the UP desktop shortcut. I also made a new game from a fresh game start, and picked Brujah. Was this right or did I do a dumb and screw it up? EDIT: Oh, UP installer is VTMBup115rc2.5.exe

Well, dear, you acted in a good way in tutorial about points, with a new game. and the rest. Problem is that the current BE needs UP 11.5 rc1.7 and NOT rc2.5, as you can read. The next updated BE version 'll be on in a couple of days. Then.. or you wait for a little. Or delete the unofficial patch folder and reinstall up, without BE. You can anyway use some optional pack, as always you did (and except Hunter and Nosferatu packs).

Ah crud so they updated the same 1.15 page with a new RC. That's a shame. Ah well, I'm patient so I'll wait.. great mod btw, looking forward to trying to survive lol.

1.15 -> 11.5, but I understand what you mean. UP shows always 11.5 also if the .exe change continually and then with different versions. And that is bad and out any rule, for all programs, or files, etc. on the net. And for that I use (I am forced to use...) on moddb the name of the .exe file, because it reflects exactly the different releases.

Anyway thanks for your patience and I hope you 'll appreciate BE :)
PS: about "to survive"... read Tips. They can be useful in some way

Great mod! Just finished my first playthrough as a Malkavian, and had a huge blast. First time I played Malk without the Plus Patch, so it was extremely funny to cast Voice of Bedlam into groups of enemies and watch them tear each other apart xD

I found no major bug (except that the Taxi driver is hard to interact with after the museum and at the SM blood hunt, which has already been pointed out)

However, I have a question:
Do you plan on tweaking the disciplines?
In my playthrough, I found Dementation lvl 3 - Vision of Death - really really op. Especially against bosses, I was able to essentially stunlock most of them with that ability. (I remember only Bach and the Lasombra not being weak to it)

If you're planning to rework the abilities a bit, I'd like to see something like double the cooldown on Vision of Death (and you'd most likely have to do the same to Dominate lvl 3 - Suicide, as well). And maybe have bosses be out of the stun quicker. Malks and Ventrue have several abilities that stop enemies for a short time, anyways.

And a minor nitpick:
In the Venture Tower, after the Possessed Guard, a good chunk of the guards on the top floor survived the Astrolite explosion, albeit on low health. Is that intentional? Took the immersion out of me, seeing how these normal ppl survived an explosion that previously leveled a whole building.

Thanks GingerBanannes for your comment and suggestions. And you finished your first playthrough, in BE, without.... cheats? ...mmmhhh.... :)
Seriously. About interactions, they were not bugs, but you are right. Player has just to move/try a little...
Disciplines. Effectively those ones are slightly op. I ll just tweak them by your suggestion, acting on some values (cooldown, blood cost, etc.) so all 'll be better and surely better than nothing.
About explosion, BE doesn't touch that map, but it's normal and (probably) depending by npc distance or covered by something. Also.. think that BE NPCs have more health, so it can be depending on that too. (Dont take my words literally, I never tested deeply that part, because all practically works)
PS: the new BE ver. ll be on in a couple of days.

Well, what can I say? I'm used to grind The Final Nights on Hardcore Mode, so I really enjoy high difficulty curves :D

About the "cheating" -
I did use the console at the start of the save to have me start with 0 dots in all abilities, and only one dot in each attribute and discipline, to mimic TFNs Hardcore Mode.
And I did sell and rebuy the skill books at Trip's. Btw, doesn't work at Fat Larry's like it used to in earlier versions of UP. Did you change that?

I already dread a Toreador/Brujah run. No Crowd Control or Fortitude x(

Oh... then you are a great and "veteran" player. And a rare player wanting high difficulty. Me too... in many games, except DOOM, 1, 2, 3... There nightmare is REALLY a nightmare. (Actually I am playing "Scorn"... Well... no difficulty, except some puzzle. But the real metaphoric extreme difficulty is exactly play it. Scorn is a game OUT any known definition and really unique)
About books... nope.. I didn't change that side on Larry, so I guess it's default. In BE also occult items have a "realistic" price. (At the end and sometime, I sell some of them)
PS: Fortitude is also a bit op but dont ask to change it :)

Oh, and I do remember something that... might be a bug? Hollywood Armor (Light Leather) - As long as I had only 1 Dexterity, it didn't lower my Stealth and Lockpicking. Yet my Dexterity was shown as 0 on my character sheet.

I ll check now... Give me some minute.

Ok.. checked. All works perfectly in my game (And by the way it is not Stealth, but the Sneaking feat) and all is as it should be. Check them with calm and you ll see all values are good.
