I use the "x_BE_Soundtracks_OPTIONAL" folder, without a second thought, and realize there's no music at all. Is there a way to revert back so I could have music, and is the mod always like this even without "x_BE_Soundtracks_OPTIONAL" folder?

Not exactly.. that pack/feature leaves some track, as its readme refers. Anyway, if you want the default vtmb/up musics.. you need reinstall UP and then BE, without that (optional) music feature/pack. New game not required.

Are there any changelogs? I haven't played VTMB in a couple years so I would love to know what's been changed since then.

Hello Jobesky... No "detailed" change log, but only a small one in manual. Anyway the manual itself 'll show you the main changes. If you dont play it from years... well... it deserves absolutely.
Also lot of UPs, in the meanwhile, were improved, fixing many minor issues.
PS: I suggest the standalone update, so you 'll play BE on the last Up. Ciao

Hello
Could this mod be adapted for Clan Quest 4.1?

It works on UP(s)... no other mods. But some optional package in can be used everywhere.

Hi! I was wondering if it would be possible to get more before / after photos for the texture changes that this mod makes? It's always nice to understand the severity of the changes, and how each model has been improved upon.

Naaa... too work...I cannot publish hundreds of comparisons. If you know enough VTMB, you 'll note soon them. In manual you can find various infos/images too. I cannot do more ...... PS: anyway if you have some "doubt" about some texture, just ask... also eventually by some screenshot and/or the name and object description. Or if you have some problem with.. I ll try to help. Ciao

Thanks for the reply! I was mainly wondering about the changes made to character models, as I like some of the changes (like the Gargoyle and Hengeyokai) but some of the changes are too far from the original look of the characters (like Fat Larry and Sweeper, who I personally prefer as they were). I was wondering about the changes made to Andrei and Lacroix in particular, as they are pretty major characters that appear again and again throughout the story, so it'd be nice to know what changes were made to them :)

Well... you understand that I cannot customize a whole mod as anyone want. Anyway, if you dont like Fat or the Sweeper, go to "....\materials\models\character\npc\..." subfolder. There you find many informations by the subdirectories names (Npc name or npc type, location, etc). Just rename temporarily it/them as you want, or just some specific file/s inside it/them. And test. You 'll have the default skin. Here, example, the 2 paths about :
LARRY: \materials\models\character\npc\unique\downtown\larry\
SWEEPER: \materials\models\character\npc\unique\hollywood\sweeper\
If you dont know or find something, always ask. NP. Hope this 'll help you.

I understand that, sorry if I came across as rude or anything, I was just trying to explain why I wanted to see the difference between all the NPCs - so I can determine which ones I personally would like to use / not use.
I actually created a separate directory for Extreme from a copy of Unofficial Patch, so I could see the changes with and without the textures without overriding anything from the main file. While doing so, I noticed that a lot of the textures of the terrain became very large; the doors would be a single solid colour or , the "Exit" signs would far too large for the door. Are these types of bugs known? If not, I have some images I could upload for reference.

NP. And about last comment.. just send me some screenshot (and a short description about the location, if not in a common place) or post where you wish. I 'll check it/them, to know if BE depending or by other. For eventual clarifications and/or for further future improvements. Ty.
Update october 27: Well.. all solved. With a correct installation and with no other extra mods/files on.. no more errors.
Then... good luck for the game. Have fun.

VTMB: Extreme makes this game harder, for real. I've played some difficulty related mods before and not everyone can strike a balance. This one does it very well: even your first fights in Santa Monica (i.e. SURF'S UP beach party) require playing carefully, but you won't die from single shots either. Just focus, have some bloodpacks at your disposal and make sure to have at least 2 ways of killing your enemies. It's not only about HP: prepare to be hit harder and to try different methods in boss…
