Battle Grounds
Half-Life mod | Released Jul 4, 2006
The Battle Grounds(BG) is a Half-Life Modification based on the Revolutionary War. You and your teammates will have to act together strategically to fight the enemy teams. It will be team based game play.
In Bg you can play as a solider in two teams:
1. The Royal British Army
2. The Colonial United States Continental Army
For each side you will have a choice of several classes, each with their own individual style and unique playing feel.

Thanks to our outstanding community, Battle Grounds: Source, BG2, has started to come together. Early versions of BG2 can be found in the forums, here. BG2 or BG:S at the moment is a simple port of BG1 (for Half-Life 1) with the exception of maps. Special thanks to Tjoppen for doing most of the code work on BG2.
The mapping community has just started to release new maps for BG2 and we look forward to more maps in the future. Pr3dator has started working on his own BG2 maps. His first creation for BG2 is bg_koth. This king of the hill map is complete with a 3d skybox, entrenchments, and fully functional capture areas. The map's open atmosphere sets a standard for Battle Grounds: Source. Pr3dator's next project is porting the historical bg_lexington to BG2. See some snapshots of the current bg_koth build in action, below.

the same happen to me
well i installed it, but whenever i wanna join a server it says ''ure client.dll differs from the server's one''
I downloaded and installed it and love it but I am missing maps. Some servers run stuff like lexington.bgp and I dont have that map in my maps directory. Cant seem to find them on the web either which sux. Other than that the game is fun when I can get on a server.
Then scale it up in source, i agreewith sashi. The rifles look way too short in the players hands. One looks like a kar98.
This mod is done. They're working on Source now.
I love the mod. Its fun and well, just freaking fun!
But one thing that bugs me its the weapons they're smaller in the players hand than what they would be in real life, it kinda takes away from the game because it make me feel i'm shooting a .22 or somethin, could you scale the models up?
It's based on the American Revolutionary War, not the Civil War as the uneducated piece of trash just stated.
Battle Grounds is fun but it is kind of boring after a while of time i did git bored but its a good game over all i mean come on its a civil war they arent able to add Rocket Launchers or Humvees
