Battle Grounds
Half-Life mod | Released Jul 4, 2006
The Battle Grounds(BG) is a Half-Life Modification based on the Revolutionary War. You and your teammates will have to act together strategically to fight the enemy teams. It will be team based game play.
In Bg you can play as a solider in two teams:
1. The Royal British Army
2. The Colonial United States Continental Army
For each side you will have a choice of several classes, each with their own individual style and unique playing feel.

The process of making bg being able to be downloaded from steam has begun. With the death of won and the latest steam update, there is new functionality in steam.
Browse games has a list of the top few 3rd party mods ( ranked by players on steam I assume ). BG is on that list. While downloading directly from that menu isn't possible at the moment, it is the first step on the path to downloading from steam and auto-updating.
Naturally we are very excited here. With won going down a few days ago and now this, an influx of new players is upon us. I am urging all players to be considerate to new players. Show them the ropes, be considerate - they haven't been playing as long as you and most of all don't be jerks.
Hopefully we can get 1.2.2 off to valve and auto-updating will follow.

Unique concept for the HL engine, very nice idea. only thing missing now is a Napoleonic version(new skins/models perhaps) so the english can take on the frenchies. This game is really cool, I hope you guys are proud, you make a very very fine mod.

not, the ultimate mod is Prydon Gate.
Ok. This is just the best mod ever. The sounds, the maps, classes, weapons, player models, the hud and also that it is steam comptible. This is the ultimate mod, that deserves to go retail.
