Battle Grounds
Half-Life mod | Released Jul 4, 2006
The Battle Grounds(BG) is a Half-Life Modification based on the Revolutionary War. You and your teammates will have to act together strategically to fight the enemy teams. It will be team based game play.
In Bg you can play as a solider in two teams:
1. The Royal British Army
2. The Colonial United States Continental Army
For each side you will have a choice of several classes, each with their own individual style and unique playing feel.
More details will be added later as our source feature list is fleshed out

The first of our two BG 1.2.2 trailers are now available. The first shows the full capabilities of the particle powered shooting effects and how this influences line battles and the game in general. The thick smoke clouds are affected by wind and move accurately through the virtual 3d space.

The second trailer will be released later and will show the full range of new maps in the upcoming version, as well as some advanced particle and grass effects.

Is anything even happening to his HL2 mod?

This mod is now classified as a HL2 mod on ModDb. The HL1 version is still in development, but it isn't our main focus.
At present all news items, screenshots and gallery shots show BG in HL1, bar one showing the snowlake port. This will change as we play around with the SDK and BG:S development fully commences
