After searching out new systems in Sirius, a lone pilot finds a strange anomaly, unlike any he has seen before. On further examination the anomoly seemed to be giving out very faint radio signals. Moving closer the pilot could almost make them out but, before he can do much else, his ship is sucked into the gravity well of this strange phenomenon and is hurled light years into the distance and ends up on the outskirts of the Sol system. Unable to return to Sirius, this trader makes a new life for himself in the relative safety of the mother system that spawned the human race. His name was Brandon Trent, missing father of our hero Edison Trent in Freelancer...
Finally come back to this project after leaving it alone for way too long. The original version of the mod was shall we say a bit too ambitious. I've scaled things back dramatically as it makes things easier to work on.
For now, i'm only interested in making the Sol system and have that fully functioning before i make other areas to explore. The good news is all the systems are now done, i'm just adding in bases and trying to make sense of the interaction between the various systems. All the planets in the solar system are here, and the major ones each have their own system to fly round in.
There are 11 systems to start with, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Asteroid Belt, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and the Deep Space system. You will be able to fly between most of the systems via jumpholes, with the longer routes accessed via tradelanes and jumpgates.
All the planets have up to date NASA planet textures so look very authentic. Bear in mind it's not a simulation but a game, and the mod makes no excuses for that. Once the above mentioned areas are added in, i'll take some more up to date screenshots and show some more content
