When the light died down, we could see the extent of our depravity. Whole cities lay in ruins with twisted corpses adorning the streets like a perverted nature strip. We were striped of everything, the hierarchy we had worked so hard for fell apart as we gazed out over our unholy handiwork. We reverted back to our core function, killed society and employed the oldest kind of stratification. We were apocalyptic cavemen. We were mankind; punished for our sins.
The Ghouls
The Undead are those that died in the blast. They are mindless, rotting corpses who have been mutated beyond recognition. They have no heart, and the blood that flows through their veins is dirty and corrupt. The Ghouls hunt for life, but they have no interest in souls. They seek the steady rhythm of a beating heart. They relentlessly pursue life wherever it goes, becoming a clammering mass of yellow flesh. They are dead, alive and somewhere in between.
The Ghasts
When a Survivor dies, a Ghast rises from his corpse. Ghasts dance down a line between pain and confusion, seeking to destroy anything that comes within reach of their mutated flesh. They stagger around in a frenzy, their insensitivity to outside influence rendering them a force to be dealt with.
The Survivors
With the first of the explosions rising into the sky, The Survivors fled deep underground. They inhabited the sewers, the bunkers, the mines. They dug their own tunnels connecting to create little communities. When the winter ended and the sun rose once more, the emerged to find the remains of their destruction. They make trips into the cities, small groups, huddled together for safety they can't find. They look for resources, artifacts, fuel; whatever they can find the bring back underground.
The Vampire
When the light came, the cancerous cells in already infected bodies mutated, giving their bearer immense power. Vampires seek to consume the vitality that Survivors have within them. As they evolve, they can perform powerful feats than make them almost invincible. Vampires are the parisite of The Apocalypse.
After the Apocalypse plays in a way that has been skirted around, but not implemented correctly in any game so far. The game plays like a co-operative multiplayer game, where teams of Survivors attempt to complete semi-linear levels, while pitted against hoards of Ghouls, who only stay dead for so long.
However, one player is a Vampire. The Vampire seeks to eliminate all of the Survivors, while avoiding the Ghouls. As the Vampire gets kills, they gain sections of their former souls, giving them enhanced weapons, statistics and spell-like abilities.
When a Survivor dies, they rise soon after to become a Ghast. They join the mass of rotting flesh that seek to destroy both Survivor and Vampire alike. After the Apocalypse plays like a combination of Hidden: Source and SvenCoop, providing an interesting blend of different playing styles to provide ultimate adrenaline packed action.
After the Apocalypse, things are different. Co-operating is everything, but it isn't enough. The lone hunter that watches over every move grows hungry - and as time passes, so shall you. Life is precious, but sacrifice is needed... After the Apocalypse.

So its a Co-Op, Hunter, post apoc...I think your mixing to much to be honest.

Doesn't mean folks can't start planning
It's never to early to start on a mod that will take time to create. Especially with a detailed engine like this one. Hey, just look at the some of mods for S.T.A.L.K.E.R., some started in 2004 (S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Theft Auto)

The undead theme is kinda inspired by Hellsing, but obviously quite different. They aren't real undead in the traditional sense, it's just that is what The Survivors called them, and they are in no position to be correcting it. Thanks for the watch.
