Your name is David Leatherhoff, and you're addicted to a new painkiller from a company unknown. They keep coming, and you can't stop taking them. Lately you have started to experience illusions, dreams picking at your deepest and darkest fears. Finally, you go to the Hospital, seeking help. First, however, you make a stop into the bathroom, where another bottle of pills awaits you, standing out like a beacon in the night in your depraved eyes. When will it all stop? Afraid of Monsters is a survival horror mod for Half Life 1. What's new in AoM DC? - New monsters (no Half-Life reskin) and weapons - Flashlight can only work with batteries that you pick up - Improved maps and totally new maps - 4 different endings and ways to beat the mod - Random monster spawns - New hud, sprites, textures, sounds, models and animations - Easy mode is easy, normal is normal, hard is hard

OMG...I am still in the hospital at the beginning and I did the training course and I like am already flipping out...because I love how you guys made the monster in the first black out near the end of it like apear for a split second trying to hit you then disapear...I literally freaked....

This mod really kick ass :D...Its very good and its really really scary....My little sister who was watching me play started crying in the scene when that monster looks like it would hit you :P....So NICE WORK!!!
I played the older version a long time ago and didn't get to finish because I sold my PC but I was still in the hospital. I just now got the DC and once again I'm trying to find my way out. As frustrating as the hospital is it's still so frightening. With the super-zombie like people running up on you plus your flashlight constantly dying at all the perfect moments it tears at your nerves to stay focused.
Makes you wish you just had a big gun to spray and pray when the flashlight dies. Only having your knife and a pistol which is scarce on bullets keeps you on the edge. A truly amazing mod.
How do you get through the first part with the colored balls?

Gordon-Freeman! To fix the problem with "is greater then free hunk" is here: The sound, called "hospital1" is the problem! You have to change the file, because the size of it is almost 12Mb, i guess and the length of it is 9:36! Do you agree this?{ also i have a few problems too, almost with all of the maps in this Afraid of Monsters:dc game! I still try to fix'em, but still it doesn't work!}
How the HELL do I get passed the hospital level? I have the flashlight, I have the knife, I've explored all the floors, even the catwalk and the roof.

Can you level skip in this game because I've got far into the level where your driving and you play in like a dream place and I couldn't beat then , I got a new computer and all the data was all gone so yeah I want to at least get back to that place without the hassle.

I downloaded the game tried to install it and it told em i did not have steam and i obviously do seeing as i had the steam menu up while downloading it anything I can do?
