This is the AdvancedAIMod0.98 /by Lion & r42/, updated and improved by AEI /version 2.8/. The aim of the mod and my improvements is to create the greatest AI available for ZH. There are a lot of new fixes and improvements added by me, and the AI will use more humanlike tactics as well. This mod was also made because the AI in ZH is too easy. It uses stupid tactics, builds mediocre bases and normally has $50k in bank that it will never use. Beating 7 AIs on hard shouldnt be possible but it is, this mod is to change that, giving the AI a better tactical awareness, faster expansion, more viciousness and better economy management.

Some of the new improvements:
- Fixed scripts and improved behaviour for tech terror and battle bus attacks, and added more of them.
- Tech rpg attacks.
- AI dozer hunting.
- The AI will MD drop the enemy and use the combat chinook.
- Enabled MOAB for all USA's.
- Enabled Carpet bombing for all China factions.
- Enabled the neutron artillery for China and Nuke.
- GLA factions will finally use carbombs.
- They will now be able to utilize the 50+ types of cars, trucks and buses available on the battlefield. Sometimes the carbombs will attack in packs.
- China's finally will use their Helixes, loaded with Tank Hunters, to rush the enemy.

- China factions will now target with cluster mines enemy units/tunnels, instead of mindlessly droping them in their own base, even when their base is already mined.
- USA's Auroras will attack enemy powerplants with primary priority if they see that the enemy is low on excess power.
- Stealth and vanilla GLA's will send technicals loaded with saboteurs to reset the enemy's SW.
- Stealth General will now build powerplant and barracks when he hijacks a dozer.
- GLA's will use more demo traps.
- The AI will now consider having enemy patriots and tunnels in its base a base invasion, and it will build high priority base defence teams to deal with the threat. The AI will also have initial defence team to guard its base against early patdrops and tunnelbuilders.
- Tank general will now be able to build his "hidden" airfield and will attack with aircraft as well. Initial - Helix rush is also added for the general.
And many, many more features.

1.06 Patch note
- USA's Stealth fighters will have higher priority for ECM tanks.
- The AI will take advantage of the new general points system, so now some generals will purchase more and different general powers than before.
- Fixed an issue with the 1.06 patch, where Demo was unable to use General Power Rebel Ambush, due to its changed name in the patch /now Demo Rebel Ambush/.
- The speed of the carbombs is the same as in the 1.04 patch, so that the AI can take advantage of them.
- Be aware that some of the maps that come with the 1.06 patch are not AI optimized, so playing against the AI on them is not recommended.

Check the Readme of the mod for all the fixes and improvements.
To install, backup your INI folder and Scirmishscripts.scb file, then replace them with those from the mod.

I have Cold War Crisis. Can I install and play this mod as long as I don't activate CWC? Will it affect CWC?

I have a .big file of the mod for such cases. But its the 2,7 AI mod version, not the latest 2,8. Go here and download the .big file.

Use the AAMod104.big for ZH 1.04

To install, put the .big file in your My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data directory, or in the root ZH directory, and add -mod AAMod104.big in your Generals Zero Hour shortcut target box.

Then start ZH from the shortcut and it will only load the AI mod. Remove the -mod AAMod104.big from the shortcut's target box to load CWC again and add it again to load the AI mod.

AEI: Dont get me wrong I have the greatest respect for your work but the script is imported properly into WB with added skirmishplayers but crashes 10-20 mins ingame. With inichecker there are some errors in script with china big base builders. WB also shows a lot og questionmark folders in scripts after importing?

The question marks in WB are normal, they do not always indicate an error, and most of them are the same as in the original unmodded scripts. For example WB does not recognize the CombatZone as a valid area and puts a question mark on scripts using it, but the game recognizes it when a map is loaded. Same with building names specific for civilian buildings on various different maps. Most of those are the same as in the unmodded game.

I used inichecker too to eliminate most mistakes so it is far more cleaner than vanilla. The China big base builder script is part of the original scripts too and it is inactive as far as i know.

Its working great for me and everybody else, you can see vids on the internet of people playing it, no one else complained, so obviously there is some problem on your part.

Make sure you use the original game and not some pirate copy with cracked files, use 1,04 patch, make sure there are no old files from other mods, redownload the mod in case this is a corrupted download, install properly the files - put them in the proper folders, use the 1,04 version of the mod, make sure you have permissions for the game folder, make sure your hardware is working properly and you have no viruses, etc. Ttry to reinstall the game in case some file is corrupted or use different PC and see if it works.

Try to use this older 2,7 version of the mod, its packed in different way (in one .big file), follow the install instructions and see if it works for you. If it works ok, then there is some installation error when you try to install the latest version, or presence of old mod files/corrupted files.

In wb i only add skirmishplayers including my own general. I dont import scripts in maps causes the crashes ingame. I can see all teams. I then save map. No crashes at all but toxin general dont build marauder and toxin truck and combatbike and radarvan? But the ai now should be really great but is building less number of units vs normal zh 1.04 or 1.06 in a given period of 1 hr. But this ai is now buildong secondary bases at other suplly docks vs the normal zh ai dont build secondary bases only mainbase but that is on a closer look a bit larger in size with more base defenses? All on hard difficulty Again I would say that this mod is much better than standard ai. I think this work you have done is almost perfect. Lastly I just want to know if you are planning a final release with all fixed.

Hi, I loved this mod, but it is not working properly and makes the game crash again and again, but with original 1.04 skirmishscript no problem, this script is not good enough................Units not moving and game crash, I thought this script was fixed, but maybe not.

You must make sure to install it properly. All files must be put in the proper folders. Make sure there are no left overs from other mods. I and the other ppl have no problems with the mod.

It's rare to see any recently active AI scripters in this community. There aren't alot of sources online either for information exchanging. So my question is, are you still active or did I comment too late?
