Level Designer, 3d Artist & Lead Animator at Archaic Entertainment. If you have issues with Company of Heroes: Eastern Front write it in my comments I'll try to sort them out as fast as possible.
It's kinda hard to say, I would say it's a little higher then just playtester because you are able to propose concepts and ideas (and not just deliver feedback which we'll analyze). So you'll be playing a more 'active' role as a Balancer.
Floki contacted you.
Quote from the news: 'So, if you think you can help us out, and have the skill and time to do so. Post your steam account below, and a quick little blurb about why you would like to help us out.'
Makes it sound more seriously doesn't it? ;D. The background check might be a little over the top though xD.
Are you using the latest version of Eastern Front?
Just deinstall EF and reinstall it to the new path (to your directory where your CoH1 is). Then apply the compability patch! Then it should work.
Huh? We'll look into the issue.
Go to your Steamapps dir of Company of Heroes (New Steam Version) and delete the folder Eastern_Front and the Eastern_Front.module file. Then install the correct version.
Nope, they go away.
There is a mod covering that theater without Soviets though, you might wanna follow them (it's not released, yet):
EDIT: Huh apparently the mod appears to be dead. I'm getting old D:.
Also keep in mind to apply the compability patch after you installed EF (because you are using a retail version of the game)
Medkits can be used on other squads not on the squad that has it. (just like in CoH2)
Indeed, this is just great DMz and Beefy!
Does your friendslist show that you use the 'Company of Heroes (New Steam Version)' when you start up EF? OR do you use a retail version of CoH1?
It's for free and it's a mod for CoH1 (and obviously requires it).
Lots of games in the pot! :D
Kind of error is not really precise. What exact error do you experience?
Thanks for your longstanding support!
We'll definitly keep on! It's always good to get motivation from people like you, you are the one's we are still doing this for :D!
Well download the latest EF version and then apply the compability patch afaik this should work as only one .dll file changed (this won't change with newer versions of EF).
2nd solution, you activate your retail coh cd key on Steam and use the '(New Steam Version)' to run EF :P.
Just to clarify:
1. Update CoH to the lastest none Steam Version
2. Download and install the lastest EF version onto it
3. Then download and install the compability patch
It should work that way.
We won't add support for that but as far as I remember there was a combiner mod that allowed you to have allies vs allies. However that was like two years ago and I doubt that it still gets updated. That's why you can try whenever it works, but we won't offer you any support for it.
What is the exact problem?
Did you complete the installation and EF is missing?
Are you sure that you checked/picked the right path?
Do you use the (New Steam Version)? or an old Retail version with the compability patch?
You should be able to switch them in the reward unit tab.
We have had such big units sizes some time ago, but decided to stick to smaller ones to increase performance (the internal squad AI works better with less members in it) and gameplay (1 sniper vs guards squad with 9 men would be madness).
Glad that you figured out the problem, have fun playing EF!
I think it should work just fine, considering that it should version unspecific. Just try it out :P.
it is a Company of Heroes 1 mod, so yes. You only need one of the above:
Company of Heroes (1)
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor
No, we didn't add winter skins.
If you mean Corsix's Mod tools. Then here's the link: Modstudio.corsix.org
It's for; CoH, CoH:OF, CoH:ToV
Can you please upload a screenshot of that message?
Did you run the installer with an administrator account?
Do you have enough harddrive space (duh)?
