You can still play the vCoH campaign but EF does not add a custom one. So it basically just covers Skirmish and Multiplayer.
About the error we would need your logfiles (or a screenshot) to sort that out. It seems to be very specific.
It will get removed in the next patch, it was just in for testing.
Pretty hard to say, it's kinda not up to us at the moment. We are waiting for an exe fix by Relic, for Steam release :P.
Yes, there is just move the cheatmod.scar into the SCAR folder of the mod. It will screw up the checksum though so you won't be able to play with anyone anymore.

It's unlikely that we'll add additional factions because the Essence Engine has trouble coping with 2 extra factions already (new factions will increase loading times and overall memory usage, because the Essence Engine does not over a deload function, which means for a game which has no brits, brits will still be loaded). We are however working on additional reward units that will bring some alternativ tactics to the game.
About horses, yes it would be possible but it would require a big amount of work that wouldn't be worth the effect. (3D model, custom animations for infantry and the horse etc. Also it would probably screw with the pathfinding). There is however a Eselschrek (Donkey-Shrek) ingame that comes close to horse movement.
You can try to setup the mod tools and then export stuff into the game. It's not easy though.
That's unusual and an error I never heard off. Probably an error while moving files and "exporting" outdated files? That's the only explanation I have.

There's a difference in that mod and ours. They replace the existing factions. We add additional factions, that's where our problem starts. If Relic won't release a fix soon, we'll try to do a work around. Sorry for waiting but we would prefer a clean fix instead of a dirty temporary solution.

I strongly oppose 'boycotting' SEGA/Relic or anybody for this. Neither do I think they disabled custom .dll loading on purpose. I'm more convinced of the fact that CoH1 patches are made by Smoking Gun Entertainment (as far as I remember) and some miscommunication led to the removal of it. So calm down and stop thinking about conspiracies :P.
That's an issue with the newest Steam version of CoH. We are trying to sort it out asap and to contact Relic about it.

No, model exporter only work with 3ds Max 7 or 8.
Oh I forgotten to tell that Ostheer tanks have a spawn protection for the first 2 seconds so mapentry point mining is useless.
Well, basicly there is no disadvantage. The Ostheer is already quiet well protected against base rushes (flak38 can even damage light armour). I even see a clear advantage of the Off map spawn because you are able to plan your defense a little bit longer than if just your tank gets destroyed while rolling out of the factory. In addition the Off map spawnpoint is close to the HQ on nearly every map so it won't make a huge difference.
There are going to be some (no numbers here) patches before it.
They come off map so no need for that.
We are currently trying to find a good balance so the texture fits on every surface :P.

By the way this is an ambush point so make ready for some nice partisan action here ;).
It's quiet easy to do that.
-Place your "flags" or "HQ's" (gameplay>fuel_point(_medium/high);gameplay>munitions_point(_medium/high) or gameplay>manpower_ressource_point(_medium/high))
-Click on the "Ter" button in the Taskbar.
-Find "Draw Overlay Map" under "Overlay" menu. Then click on "Draw Sector Map"
-Now click "Calculate Voronoi" on the right. (sectors will now be spilted up in percentage)
-If you want to change a sectors layout then just click on sample then on the sector you want to edit.
Additinal notes: If parts of the territory start flashing then you disconnect it from the point/flag.

Ostheer already have flak emplacements as base defense... I don't think they need flaks on top of their tier buildings :P.
