Greetings, stranger. Welcome to my page. I am Ori'verda AKA Milos and I currently live in the Netherlands. I like games, girls, books, movies and teamwork. Also I enjoy discussing about religion, politics, history and such affairs. And ignore the fact that a lot of my groups are Science-Fiction related, I love Sci-Fi for good reasons! ☢ ☢ ☢ P.S. The video with the redhead is not porn! I may be a crazy Serbian but I'm not that crazy. Besides that I'm a goof, in fact to show you I am going to fill up the my description with random banter, why? Yeah you guessed it, I'm not that strange or weird it is in fact to get a HTML code to work, if you don't know what that is good luck. Regardless I suppose I should continue filling out this description field according to that manual so I can get a cooler description, I don't know if that makes sense to you but according to the manual it works so it must work right? Well it should otherwise you would not be seeing this... Or would you? SRB FTW!
Notice the new appearance of the chapter, I figure if I make it appealing looking and slap on a ton of extra features the story will look less daunting in size and will be more fun to read. Feel free to provide more tips or suggestions. Also, I need an artist. Nothing big, just someone who can sketch stuff related to my story to give it that little extra. Whether you can sketch a massive battle scene in color or use a simple pencil to draw one of the main characters, all images are welcome. We made our way through the wreckage and joined up with other warriors, before us the Imperial fortifications. Above us, shrieks from the engines of air cavalry and missiles as they flew past. In the distance we heard the thundering sound of explosions of our counter attack. Our ruus'alor took a stand on a wrecked Canderous tank. She raised her beskad towards us. “Take out your blades brothers, from here we can stroll all the way to Coruscant!” Almost in perfect synchronization, every Mandalorian gathered grabbed his or her beskad and in some cases beskade, raised them in the air and shouted the brief warcry, Oya. The Battle Legionnaires lined up, guns raised over their shoulders, circuit to circuit they were ready to be our well respected canon fodder. Our Canderous tanks trained their guns and readied their repulsors to follow the Legionnaires. The grunts, us, climbed on the tanks. Beviinn helped me up a tank called Miller, I sat on one of its threads, a eagle motif adorned it. “Brother, behold what I snatched off a trooper.” He presented a shattergun to me, Imperial design and built for close quarters in trenches, a small bayonet seemed soldered on recently as the metal was still a shade of red hot. “I wish I could see the look on his face as I used his own gun against him, took me some time to get the knife out of him and onto the gun. Got any kills during?” With a grunt came my admittance that I hadn't yet overcome his original thirty kills yet, the metal trench we passed seemed to be devoid of targets. My rifle was built for long range, if only officers counted more. But before Beviinn was able to boast of his score, a familiar sound washed out all other noise and the skies darkened before a powerful purple storm came down upon us. A shockwave launched me into the sky and I landed on what felt like a pile of Battle Legionnaire parts. The sky filled with lobs of plasma devouring our missiles and TIE craft chasing down our pilots, here and there a proton bomb fell shaking the ground and me too my core. What followed was the barking of orders and marching of mediocre made boots and large metal feet. I rolled over and pushed myself off the ground, my rifle was somewhere in the pile but I quickly decided to make due with what a Battle Legionnaire had attached as the sound of marching Stormtroopers became louder as they approached. I gave a quick glance over my shoulder, there stood a Stormtrooper aiming down the sights of his blaster, pointing at me. At that moment, I accepted my death and closed my eyes, my breathing stopped, I heard the blaster fire and the sound of an armored warrior falling down on the mud. “On your feet brother, you won't get a second chance.” Instantly my eyes opened and I breathed in the cold night air. Standing there, defiantly, with her pistol in one hand and her beskad in the other, was the ruus'alor. “Stop gawking at me and let's go.” I got up and followed her, bodies of Imperial Stormtroopers were the only thing I recognized in my blurred sprint chasing a green dot on my visor. The dot got bigger, I slowed as I approached it and my vision returned to me slightly, I made out a formed up line of warriors using husks of twisted steel as a makeshift barricade against Imperial onslaught. “Alor'ad, we need to get back to our trenches, we seriously overestimated their defences and numbers. If we continue our assault we will lose the battle.” My mind recalled the ruus'alor commenting that from here on we could stroll to Coruscant. The alor'ad's armor was simply in design and colored jet black, the only notable feature a belt that held three large pistols and a small personal beskad. “Negative ruus'alor, gather your men and press on, command has invested a lot in this attack. Keldabe is at stake.” The ruus'alor clenched her fist and looked to me, she stepped towards me and with little effort pushed me over. “This is what remains of my men.” The alor'ad and several of his men dispersed to make way for the ruus'alor and me, now covered in more mud then ever, to walk through and make our way back to the trenches. I glanced back, we were just about half way to both the Imperial fortifications and our own trenches, I could see the alor'ad and his warriors fight the Imperials only as colored dots and flashes in the distance. The ruus'alor stopped near the corner of a burnt out vehicle, I took a knee and scanned for my weapons. I never had a beskad to call my own and my rifle was gone. With a grunt she handed over her beskad. I admired the weapon briefly, it was heavy and broad, plain in features along the blade. Swiftly the ruus'alor rose over our cover and started firing and providing commentary simultaneously. “Hey di'kute, save me the trouble and point the guns at yourselves!” Heaving myself up, I could see the troopers jump into an impact crater. “They say thunder never hits the same area twice, it doesn't mention anything about thermal detonators.” She pointed her pistol downwards, her gauntlet revealed a launcher that ran across her entire lower arm. “Hold your fire, we're friendlies!” A voice yelled back in perfect Mando'a, a figure rose from the crater. The armor was white and blue but appeared Mandalorian in design, maybe an older design of beskar'gam. The ruus'alor swore loudly and mumbled something of an apology towards the group of three white and blue armored Mandalorians. After seeing the other group off on their way to the frontline, we made our way towards the trenches. I wondered what it would look like when it was first dug and during day, at night it was impossible to see all of it but I did make out at least several layers of trenches, with gun nests spread around at regular intervals, in the far distance I saw the palisades with high towers that formed the last line of defense for Keldabe. I struggled to keep my balance and felt a metal taste in my mouth. “What the sheb is wrong with you? Keep moving!” The ruus'alor snapped at me, giving me a slight shove and nearly tipping me over for a second time. She noticed this and, with a sigh, grabbed me by my arm. “Blasted tender foot. Fine, you can steady on me.” Slightly humiliated but primarily tired and beaten, we arrived at our station. The ruus'alor simply dropped me in a soft pile of mud, face first. As most of my senses dulled and muscles relaxed I was reminded of Beviinn, what had happened to him? If anything, he was alive and probably doubling the number of kills required to win the bet. Quite suddenly and very painfully, I felt a razor sharp object being removed from between my upper and lower back armor plates “You di'kut! Why didn't you tell me you have a dagger in your back?” With what little strenght I had left in me and a lot of will power, I rolled to my side. The blur in my eyes had since returned, but I did notice the familiar green dot that was the ruus'alor holding an oddly shaped knife.

The not-so-long awaited chapter II is here. Hope you'll enjoy some of the background story I've put in place, remember to comment and share your thoughts on the story.
We got the net back up, though none of us liked how it hung in its place. One hit and it would be down again, if we were lucky. Beviinn kept the morale up with his insubordination. Whilst we were out to fix the net, the ruus’alor had gotten us some new toys and some fresh meat for our lovely part of the trench. Command actually gave us a light artillery gun, durasteel strips and some fusion cutters, which we used to reinforce the net.
The newcomers were the gun’s crew, though we all knew how to operate it in case one of them died. Besides bringing us a new plaything, the crew had also brought a radio and reports from the front surged in.
Stomper, target is acquired. Fire ordnance package when ready.
Command, Imperial eastern line is being marshalled, troopers gathering to the west along with armor for an attack. Over.
Their all over us! We can’t evade them, where is our cover?
We detected the pattern, their attack would be soon and the odds were against us. But then again the odds were always against us. At Taris, at Dxun and Mandallia. I haven’t seen a Mandallian giant since the start of this war and I doubt I will see one ever again. The Empire is like a fire, burning all across the galaxy and few can stand against it, few will stand against it. First to fall were the Echani, their stand did little to rally people but nearby worlds were given a chance to escape a similar fate. The Noghri became the next examples, their stubborn guerrilla attacks held back the Empire for nearly two months until Stormtroopers started to exterminate entire villages. Finally, the Wookiees did exceptionally well, for every Wookiee killed at least a platoon of Stormtroopers were brought to heel. But then their forest homes were burnt to a crisp.
Ten years ago, the Empire was an engulfed in a civil war when its Emperor died without naming a successor. Ten years the Republic’s senate chose to ignore the chance to strike at their enemy. Now, it has cost us all dearly. The new Emperor, Korbut, is vicious and absolutely ruthless. Worlds that pose no threat he burns, worlds that resist he exterminates and worlds like Mandalore where he is stalled or suffers defeats he will wipe off the map. I find the prospect amusing. Being wiped off the map, to become a legend in a story. Somewhere a child would ask its parents about the Mandalorians and their defiant stand against the Empire.
The sound of blaster fire and screams brings me back to the now, had the battle finally started? I looked around to find Beviinn manning his station. In the distance a line of white and blue insects approaching quickly. Over them were the walkers, small and fast moving ones coupled with their larger and slower counterparts. Behind that army there was a series of white and purple flashes that carried the sound of distant thunder, I looked as lines of this thunder arched through the sky and came down like comets. The ground shook but there was no loss in life in our station, across the trenches I could hear screams though and the radio started to mention Bacta with increasing frequency.
The ruus’alor felt it necessary to give us a quick speech as the Imperial army drew closer, I and probably half of the other warriors only caught a bit of it. We were too busy picking our targets. At the end of her speech, she yelled out “Oya!” And we joined her, our warcry actually carried through the entire trench as we heard other positions join us, of course it could also be that command had told the officers to give the same speech at the same time.
The warcry was repeated several times, the Imperials actually slowed down because of it. Our defiant scream in the face of destruction must have caused confusion or panic. Just as the first salvos were fired from both sides a screen of smoke shrouded the battlefield, unlike Beviinn I did not have a thermal visor, he turned to me and said: “Last one to reach five hundred buys drinks.” I gave him a nod and accepted the challenge. Each time he fired a single shot, I could hear something in the distance drop, yell or burn. It made me regret accepting the challenge, but I would give it my full to try and win. Behind us the big gun started to fire as well, the sound deafening as it was directly behind me. The clank of the large shell being ejected and a fresh round being loaded barely reached me as my ears rang from the earlier blast. In the distance a walker exploded into bits, likely because of our gun. These walkers were visible over the screen of smoke. One AT-AT was headed directly for us, beneath it several AT-ST’s formed a protective encirclement over its parent vehicle. The fire of the many Stormtroopers and AT-ST’s was impressive, despite the lack of effect. But the towering AT-AT did hit succeed in destroying something I picked up faintly in the corner of my visor.
Our gun turned its attention towards the AT-AT, several gunships had also turned upon the behemoth walker and fired upon its legs, the metal beast roared in pain as the steel twisted under duress and it caved, falling on its knees and crushing several Stormtroopers and walkers below it. Our station was joined by several Battle Legionnaires reinforcements as our Canderous tanks pushed forward over the trenches. By now the amount of vehicle wrecks on the side of the Imperials provided them with a large metal trench of their own, too close to our own for my liking. With the smoke clearing I could finally make out the bright white and blue shapes and started to fire in bursts, systematically making my kills.
My weapon moved left, three shots fired and two landed on the torso, killing the trooper. Left of the fallen, four shots, one to his head, with a jolt he fell backwards to his grave. Right of him, red spots approaching fast, I duck as the blaster shots run over my head. My rifle was over the top and firing before my I saw my target, six shots, and a bloody Legionnaire took the kill.
“I’m on thirty, how about you?” Beviinn laughed whilst reloading his rifle. Two kills so far, the abundance of allied forces made it impossible for me to win the bet. I could see the Stormtroopers move backwards and our warriors climb out of the trenches and charge into them. My desire to kill overcame me as I clambered out of the trench and joined the early and unorganized line of warriors, droids and tanks that were pushing the Stormtroopers back.
The nearest vehicle wreck became my home of the moment, another up turned TX-130, maybe even the one my station destroyed earlier. Beviinn and the rest followed me, so I entered the metal trench without waiting. Before me were four Stormtroopers by an AT-ST that had fallen on its side, one was in cover behind the legs, two were dragging the fourth who had been wounded.
The Stormtrooper fired first, the pressure and heat of blasterfire hitting my shoulder plates knocked me to my knees, my momentum carrying me. Without as much as a second thought, my off-hand was raised to support my rifle. I peered down the scope, the sights had already been placed on the helmet of the Stormtrooper, almost directly on the visor. Two bolts left the blaster, the visor shattered and the trooper jolted backwards. His comrades dropped the wounded and raised their weapons against me, the one on the ground pulled himself upright and raised a pistol. I emptied what was left in my energy clip into them and they fell down, their armor darkened with blaster marks.
Quickly, I entered a new magazine into the chamber of my weapon and rushed on. Around me similar scenes were occurring as many Mandalorians left their trenches and chased the Stormtroopers off, I even saw an alor’ad lead a platoon forward. Gunships flew overhead and Canderous tanks with warriors riding on its tracks pushed the vehicle wreckage out of their way, crushing unfortunate Stormtroopers using it as cover.
Beviinn and the ruus’alor caught up with me. At the same time a group of five Stormtroopers appeared. Me and Beviinn dove to cover and counted down with nods before we would rise up and kill the troopers, to our front our ruus'alor walked towards us in our cover. With her single pistol in hand, she felled the enemy, defiantly mocking the Stormtroopers to the pace of her fire.
Beviinn and I looked to each other in surprise, we've never seen the ruus'alor fight and this display of ferocity emboldened us to share the defiance against our enemy. We rose over our cover, shouting whatever insult we could think of at the moment at the four remaining Stormtroopers. They marched backwards in a perfect line. With a single shot I downed the leftmost trooper, the round penetrating his chestpiece and darkening the surrounding blue on white paint.
To my right, brother Beviinn fired a long burst at the second to last right trooper, astonishingly downing two despite his poor aim. The last Stormtrooper looked around in surprised desperation, but instead of running he charged towards us, firing his E-11 without control and yelling “For the 501st!” I and Beviinn ducked for cover, as I settled the sound of a blaster hitting armor followed by a thud caused me to look to my right, only to see Beviinn laying on the ground.
Meanwhile the ruus'alor finished off the last trooper, muttering something about his parents's negligence to protect themselves. I looked to Beviinn, a blaster mark adorned his helmet but it didn't seem to penetrate. The ruus'alor sat down next to me and reached for his shoulder pad, as customary a piece of armor should be taken from the beskar'gam of a fallen warrior and given to his or her family to wear.
A black and red gauntlet covered in decades of dirt grabbed the Ruus'alor's palm “Ma'am, five more minutes ma'am!”
A short notice before reading, other chapters are already pretty much done but I'll be posting them in irregular intervals. This story is a Star Wars fan fiction about the Mandalorians, it may not be 100% accurate to their culture but that was just to make the story fit so Adenn forgive me.
The story is a bit based on the battles of Stalingrad and Leningrad as well as Operation Citadel. I drew some inspiration from the good ol' classic Call of Duty games, I stress good and classic. As a gamer, there is rarely a moment as memorable as the opening of the Stalingrad mission.
I awoke to the sound of singing, our commander and officers had spurred the others on to recite Vode An to raise morale. We didn't need it, we live for battle. Even if this particular one would probably cause the end of us all.
Kandosii sa kar'ta, Vode an.
Manda'yaim a'den mhi, Vode an.
We worked in shifts, I had the day shift but with the singing I could not sleep. Most of us were restless, sleeping in beskar'gam is not comfortable, and the battle was always on the verge of beginning in earnest.
I grabbed my helmet. The golden claw that ran across the left cheek had been partially scratched off, last week’s close call with the a Stormtrooper caused it.
Bal kote, darasuum kote,
Jorso'ran kando a tome.
Quickly I put it on and stepped out of my tent into the camp. All around me, my brothers were preparing for the battle. The stench of life and death hung in the air, mixed with bacta and munitions.
Along with another group of warriors I marched towards the trenches, the singing continued and gained in volume as others like me were awoken by it. I could see our tanks line up near the front of the camp, our starfighters were returning from the frontline and many of our Battle Droids were being activated. Finally the battle would start in earnest, I hoped, the skirmishes were at an end.
Sa kyr'am nau tracyn kad, Vode an.
Me and my brothers jumped into the muddy pit below, the dirt that had previously accumulated was still there. None of us found time to clean it or ourselves. The state of the earthwork was less then pristine, months of bombardment had taken their toll on the networks of trenches, bunkers, pillboxes and other fortifications we established. All of this to protect Keldabe, our capital, which housed our only hope. A series of very powerful ground-to-space turbolasers which kept the Imperial Fleet at bay and prevented them from sending down heavy troop barges or bombarding us from orbit. We were assigned to protect the city and the lasers with our lives.
Near a small ammo box was a radio transmitter, I tried to catch some of the chatter as I walked to my station. The resistance at Sundari was crushed, the city was a smouldering ruin and less then a tenth of the army that was garrisoned there made it out.
Ranger Lead to Anvil, the artillery strike was ineffective. I repeat, artillery strike was ineffective. Imperial base defences are too strong, they are too entrenched.
Most others had already joined with our officer at my station, the ruus’alor stared out in the distance. I could see desperation through her visor, but whether it was for the survival of her men or a craving for a battle I did not know. Her jungle green camouflaged beskar'gam reminded me of Mandalore's own jungles. Our station was better then most, we had a supply box nearby and had a net-covering which obscured us a bit and sheltered us from the rains, and I cannot count the amount of shrapnel that had been caught by it and thus saving me and my brothers from a dishonourable death. I manned my post and joined the others in the endless staring contest, so far the Imperials were winning but only because their side has more eyes. The earth between our line and that of the Empire had become a no-man’s land with impact craters, vehicle wrecks and the dead littered everywhere.
I manned my post, Beviinn was slumbering in a corner at my feet, he had slept in the trenches since we arrived here several weeks ago. His armor was covered in mud from head to toe, but it was always dirty. Each and every battle we had been in, the black and red beskar’gam had been pushed to the limit or erosion and suffered more ordinary filth then it suffered from battle scars, then again one cannot see scars beneath all the filth! I know Beviinn long enough to know he doesn’t care, his excuse always involves in something that makes sense at the time.
With a light kick I waked him, the only Mandalorian that can sleep through a battle. “Wake me when they start firing.” He said, turning on his shoulder and facing his rifle. The others at our station acted pretty similar, trying to catch some sleep in the mud or working to get the mud out of everything. I joined one of my smaller brethren in reinforcing the beams of the net above, her armor was a vibrant yellow with red veins moving in a breeze pattern.
We rounded up the reinforcement as yet another group of Stormtroopers probed our lines, under cover of a TX-130 that fired a volley of missiles in our direction. The ruus’alor shouted, my brothers fell into their positions and Bevinn snored on even as the missiles impacted the protective net which now collapsed.
We fired our rifles in the direction of the Imperial scouting party, the Stormtroopers were felled quickly before they had even gotten in position. The composite beam of the TX opened up and cut a swath before us, I could feel the searing heat of the beam through my armor. I relaxed my muscles and steadied my aim, behind me I heard my brothers unpack the PLX missile launchers. My rifle’s scope was directly aligned with the center of the visor of the Stormtrooper gunner. Time slowed down as I held my breath, I could see the composite beam charge, and then with a single shot I dropped the gunner. He fell over his gun and on the top of the cockpit.
The tank started to shell our trench and nearly blew my head off, next to me Beviinn was on his feet, but not yet quite awake as he sprayed indiscriminately in the general direction of the enemy. The PLEX troopers fired a volley of missiles in unison, the missiles characteristically spiraled their way towards their target and moments later the TX-130 rocketed towards the sky as the repulsor had to compensate for the overwhelming force of the impact. It landed not too far from where it had stood earlier, just upside down and horribly burnt.
“That was firing? I thought that was a drill.” Beviinn laughed as he slid back into his mud bed. He couldn’t be bothered with a mere patrol force, not if we have to fight mere patrol forces nearly day and night for the past few weeks. “Well done brothers, with shooting like that the Empire is bound to lose.” The ruus’alor said, but her voice lacked conviction. We all heard it, but still pretended to be cheery “Now, get to fixing this place up. It’s a wreck. That means you too Beviinn!” – “Ma'am, five more minutes ma'am!”
My real name is Milos, few know me by my full name or call me by my first and to add confusion my email does not represent my name. I'm just that mysterious, even my Skype and X-Fire are messed up so if you want to add me you're going to have to write a weird code-like account name which at one point had some meaning to it:

Besides that, I'm a student and go to school and the lot. Its a lovely place, Christian school so it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I have no job and no idea what I should do with my life but at least I have a roof over my head, ain't that nice?
My social life is my internet life, I'm a real-life hermit and rarely dwell the surface world har har! And contrary to what most seem to think I don't play games often, most of my time goes into Mod DB or YouTube.
For browsers I use Opera primarily, Firefox as a backup and Explorer when both fail. Opera, just fast enough thank you very much.
I love my motherland Serbia, big fan of Russia by default and like the Netherlands because they have big money jobs, "They took our jobs!" Kudos to the one to get the South Park reference hint, hint. In Serbia I spend my time in a village that might as be both heaven and hell, with the freak weather, no internet, TV reception that is near zero, blood sucking bugs around every corner, giant arachnids roaming the lend for the flesh of men and hourly blackouts that last for days... Ah God bless the motherland, its not all bad since its like an preview of heaven, all very boringly pious and eternally the same with little to no innovation... Pure awesome!
Oh and time to confuse you a bit, despite me mentioning that I love my motherland of Serbia, I am not actually in Serbia. Nope, I am in Holland doing my studies so I can take all their monies. I mean a Dutch diploma gets your further then a Serbian one does am I right?... Sadly I'm right for most part.
I love Sci-Fi to death, Star Wars, Halo, Starship Troopers, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Lord of the Rings, Elder Scrolls etc. Big fan of them all and I try to be as knowledgeable as possible but there is always that one person who just knows a bit more on the subject then I do.
Just noticed I wrote "I love" in my first two paragraphs, regardless. I'm a major history buff and more so if it involves violence, my hero is Alexander the Great who managed to conquer the world at such a young age.
My favourite animals are lions, dragons and phoenixes just because they are so awesome. Period.
And lastly (for now) I am writing a story for about two years now, its going to be epic as soon as I actually finish writing page number 4 and get to all the other pages.
Here is the current list of goals I have in life, notice they are pretty hard to accomplish but at least in a logical order:
-Get a part time job.
-Gain endurance and strength.
-Learn some light parkour/free-running.
-Become the first Mandalorian Ninja.
alt+numpad numbers 255 then release, is how you get a space between your name.
My love and joy on Mod DB are the two Roleplay groups, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.
Here is some info regarding myself in them.
Have I mentioned I have my own meme here on Mod DB? They are 100% accurate, give or take.

A Supreme Commander's Guide to Power
What can you expect from this guide? Tactics to win battles and strategies to win wars, learn how to manage an entire military and control a galaxy-spanning empire and earn your place in the history books as one of the greatest rulers of the galaxy!
Lets talk ground warfare first, one of the easiest type of conquest. Noteworthy are the complete lack of balance or use of several units, infantry is basically a meat shield that would allow you to protect your true force but its useless given their low life expectancy.
On to armored units, there are three types that are worth considering including into your army. Tank, IFV and Artillery, now of course some of you are wondering what the IFV is well its what I call the anti-infantry vehicles, nice and short.
Ground combat can be resolved only in two manors, overwhelm or outrange and this is noticeable.
Not much else to tell there, just capture all points and deploy as much armored units as possibly but you should note which is more important, Tank, IFV or Artillery.
Move in formation and as a cohesive unit but don't bunch up otherwise your units will get destroyed very quickly.
The only exciting form of ground combat is when you are forced on the defensive and have not prepared. You must make do with what you have, pause the game and review the battlefield for chokepoints. Deploy units to the chokepoints, in some cases you can leave some undefended but its wise to have some sort of defence there and a key part of your defensive plan should include the production of turrets on the frontline and repair/heal facilities inside your base but beware not to neglect anti-air defence given the enemy may deploy bombers.
Know that facilities like barracks's provide you with free soldiers that can replace your dead ones, you can see which ones can be replaced by the flag next to their health bar.
Regarding facilities, don't defend them all. Feel free to abandon some in order to protect more important ones, you can always replace them later.
Your goal is to destroy as many enemies as possible, make them regret landing on your world.
Space is where the fun begins! Whether you're on defence or offensive there will always be something to do technically speaking.
In general a fleet should always have bombers and fighters to go along with frigates, corvettes and capital ships as they can soften up the enemy before your true force arrives, this is my tactic at least and I know die hard Rebel fans would probably prefer fielding just fighters and bombers which can also be effective.
A fleet in line formation is an effective fleet in most scenarios, corvettes and frigates line up on the front with capital ships at the rear providing the raw firepower and forming a barrier for damaged frontline units to retreat to, and then just watch the enemy waste themselves against your forces in vain. Fighters should always hunt bombers or scout the enemy formation because if you attack a random system without knowing what the composition of the enemy fleet is you could very well fail.
Bombers are effective against important hardpoints but what is important depends on the situation.
-Small fleet, destroy shield generators.
-no Corvettes, destroy hangars.
-Enemy retreat, destroy engines.
Beware though! Some mods have made the AI for the enemy notorious, if you ever wanted to have Hitler in space then you'll get what you wanted because I've found that despite having a large fleet in formation the enemy will simply overwhelm your fleet using blitzkrieg and sheer numbers and firepower. Truly magnificent.
The Galactic Stage is were you will likely be spending most of your time and your most intense planning, whereas battles are fluid and fast what you do on a galactic level dictates what happens in those battles and therefore you must not only be alert but also wise in your decisions.
As you would have figured out from the tutorials there are two tabs, space and ground, all worlds give you income etc. But now you have to apply that.
In my personal experience my galactic strategy is often the most deficient early on but provides an extremely strong basis for later on. Basically all worlds are divided in two types, Industrial and Economic.
Industrial worlds are the backbone of your military, they specialize in nothing else but providing you with ground troops (space is different matter entirely) but its crucial you DO NOT build varied ground facilities!
Unlike what the tutorial may tell you, building a single barracks, ion cannon, mine and light factory is not efficient. It may help you win battles but it cannot help you win the war.
Industrial worlds as I said, specialize in production and that means that you build only ONE type of facility on a world. Simply put: Coruscant has only barracks's, Carida has only light vehicle factories and Byss focuses on heavy vehicle factories for example.
Now you maybe are wondering why this weird set up? Well having such a setup allows you to quickly train one type of unit on that world. If you suddenly need an army of AT-AT's in less then a minute you go to Byss and order it, need infantry spam? Coruscant has them.
Basically the more buildings of one type, the faster you can construct the units of that building.
Economic worlds are all unimportant worlds, they will have no other purpose then provide you with funding for your war and that is all they can do given their limited space for buildings on the ground.
Any world that has less then 5 building slots should be considered a Economic world though there are exceptions like Muunilinst that has an economic bonus and will thus increase the income from mines several times.
And now for space, like Darth Vader's Art of War says:
"Space is immeasurably vast, too vast for any military force to control. A cunning enemy will always have the advantage of being able to disappear into the trackless void, and be able to keep a much more powerful opponent off balance by popping up where least expected to conduct raids or assault a target left briefly unguarded."
This has been brought over very well in the game but you can still protect your worlds to an extent, it is always an option to abandon worlds you know you cannot defend. You can have them stall the enemy but always pull out any and all troops you can so they can defend the worlds you want to keep, this may seem like a bad strategy but in most cases the AI settles down once you have little worlds as they will not perceive you as a threat, I must stress however this is in MOST CASES and not all.
Your force deployment should be spread equally, rely on your frigates for muscle and space stations for the other units.
On the topic of space stations, invest in level 3 for most worlds and 5 for high profile worlds that are important like shipyards or a world that is ceaselessly under attack.
Mah Eagle! Ze ist back!
So I'm an old veteran of Halo, way back before they decided it should be an XboX exclusive. I've always loved Halo and played most of its mods... Or that's what I was led to believe.
With some good help from Jennie, I'm calling her that because she could very well change her name again to something else, I discovered this mysterious site called Halomaps.org. Now bear with me, you likely knew of its existence but I did not, before Mod DB I called Filefront my home but lets just say the place is in decay.
Regardless so here I am playing my favorite mods beta version, at first I was like oke there are new things. Then little Alice took a wrong turn and knew she wasn't in Kansas anymore.
Not sure how long the levels are but it seems they are expanded by 50%, and what has happened to me twice now is that just as I manage to finally beat my enemy and get past this annoying level a bloody Plasma Grenade stuck to me while I got a Checkpoint!
So now I need to restart once more, but its no problem because this mod is so much fun and from hearsay I am led to believe there is even more epicness just around the corner, or well level I mean.
Besides that I am still waiting on my shiny Terran Republic dog tags I won on a contest a few days ago, I recommend anyone who has a social life not to Google Planetside 2, download it, and fall in love with what seems to be like a free version of Battlefield 3 with several major differences.
Or maybe that's just me trying to compare legendary games to each other, which reminds me. Black Ops 2 is installed on my PC and I am going to beat it, lets see what all the commotion is about.
On the real-life front, I am finally getting stuff done once more Ura! Lets hope I can keep it up.
Oh and before I forgot, you should check out this Mod DB user here: Moddb.com He made my summary and header images and is generally speaking awesome and contrary to other Mod DB users he does not bite.
And its best to get to know him early as there is a large chance he will rule the world in a few years.
That Crazy Serbalorian out! (Serbian and Mandalorian for those who can't figure it out)
So I've been playing Metro 2033 which is why the Serbian eagle has been replaced with a Russian one (sorry no comparable eagle like the Serbian one) and I have to say, it may very well be the best Russian game there is. When I loaded it up I changed it so I have English subs with Russian language and its killing me that I have no clue what people are saying, so I changed it to English only to find out that it sounds horrible, back to Russian!
Switched off the crosshairs, hints and all that nonsense. Easy is for pussies comrade!
The game is quite difficult and I see a hint of Arma and RPG elements in it, darn all those buttons and numbers you have to remember!
But the key selling point is the story. In Capitalist America, you shoot everything! In Apocalyptic Russia there are mutants that don't want to kill you... What?
And then there's the Fourth Reich and Soviet Reunion killing each other and people, as you know the game takes place underground in the Russian Metro system because some Nuclear Weapons made the surface deadly, anyway I love the fact that the Stations where you hop out of a train have become underground city states. If they ever turned the game into an RTS you would probably lead a Station and have to make alliances with others, deal with bandits and mutants and so on.
Its a lovely game, I was wondering which to get. Dead Space 2 or Metro 2033 and I choose the right game (primarily because DS2 is 3rd Person) I just hope that Metro can give me a good scare just like DS.
The sound is just amazing, I just love it when you are exploring on your own and that creepy sound starts that gives you the feeling you are being chased. At first you ignore it and continue exploring but a bit more alert to your surroundings so nothing scares you, then as time passes on alertness becomes a slight madness and you rush for the exit.
Then there are those moments when you have to escape and you turn back for a glance and see a ravenous horde approaching, in this game all enemies are tough and there are no exceptions... Unless you bring a big gun.
Well I'm off to slay some oversized tunnel rats. Remember, there is no need to fear the future...

Cassus Vohn, the descendant of Tiroc Vohn and Aurren Sung. Cassus grew up during the final days of the Second Mandalorian Empire and fought at the battle of Tanaab against the New Galactic Empire. During the heavy trench battle, Cassus watched as many of his brothers died against the endless horde of Stormtroopers and walkers before the planet was eventually abandoned to the Empire due to sheer number of sustained losses the Mandalorians suffered, nevertheless Cassus believed he had inflicted his share of casualties on the Empire and was given a many medals commending him as a hero and defender of the Mandalorian Empire, but in his heart he stopped believing the way of a Mandalorian Empire.
Te Strategos Mand'alor passed away, he was present at the funeral with his aunt Deynna and mother Aurren. Among others was the warrior who would later be known as Vivec. Whilst people quarrelled about a successor, Vivec grabbed his chance and revealed his Shock Trooper army that started the Mandalorian Civil War, first to fall was Concard Dawn.
Despite not actually disagreeing with the tenets of the Shock Trooper Codex, he was pressed into the side of the Mandalorian Imperials due his heritage, during the war Cassus was hailed as a hero among the Imperials as he was the descendant of the one who found the Mandalorian Empire, but that status was short lived.
At the stronghold of Dxun, Cassus made a final stand against the fanatical Shock Troopers commanded by Vivec. The large facility held a battered Mandalorian regiment that was sieged by artillery for several weeks, food was running low and ammo was almost depleted. Then came the charge of the Shock Troopers, they overwhelmed the weary defenders and breached the perimeter. Cassus at one point held the line alone as his Basilisk had fallen and fellow soldiers died at his side, were captured or sent to the infirmary. In the end he too was captured as Besu'liiks started to bomb the facility with shockwave bombs.
Cassus was exiled, unable to help his brothers and save their homeworld of Mandalore when the New Galactic Empire finally captured it after a prolonged battle, the capital of the Mandalorian Empire had fallen and with it, the Empire was destroyed and the Mandalorians scattered.
He trained constantly, bidding his time. Cassus traveled the galaxy for knowledge and work. He studied about the various fighting forms, weapons and cultures of the galaxy, the Echani, Arkanians and Noghri captured his attention. But given his mercenary work, he had no time to pay them a visit and learn their skills.
With the money he made from his mercenary work, the money he invested into equipment and arms.
He took a look at the Mandalorian Combat Weapons series of the Second Mandalorian Empire and he tracked down a prototype, the MCW-101. The weapon was based on several other models.
Lastly, Cassus turned his attention to the Shock Trooper Codex and found himself agreeing with much of it, meanwhile he listened for any and all news from Mandalore.
Through contacts he had back with his people, he discovered there was to be an uprising.
Cassus was at the rally of the Mandalorians and witnessed as they choose a new Mand'alor to lead them, Te Mav Mand'alor. Krayt was selected to ride a Basilisk War Droid into the battle and served personally at the side of Te Mav Mand'alor. That day he destroyed the bridge of an Pellaeon Star Destroyer and was part of the charge Mand'alor led on the flagship of the Imperial Fleet where Te Mav Mand'alor died. They exchanged a few final words.
Cassus held Mand'alor in his arms whom asked if he had any confession to made, both knew what that meant. Cassus admitted to whom he was and explained that he would uphold the Shock Trooper Codex. Te Mav Mand'alor reminded him of his predecessors, of his clan and how each of those Mand'alore held the title of Ori'verda, which was the highest honor of his clan. The final words of Mand'alor involved declaring Cassus Vohn Ori'verda.
Ten years after the battle, Ori'verda had returned to honing his skills and rallying support from his clan and others. He got reacquainted with his old friend from the Second Mandalorian Civil War, Corden Vencu, whom had served with him on Dxun. The two became great friends once more.
Meanwhile, on Onderon became an independent sector once more, the powerful Judos family, some of the richest nobles in the Galaxy, bought the Onderon sector, proclaiming themselves the new Royal Family of Onderon and promising the people that they would rebuild and improve the planet. For the first several years this promise was kept and Onderon's infrastructure was improved tenfold. That was until a new and young King ascended to the throne, in his brashness King Yon started to oppress the people, in order to subdue a conspiracy.
The Onderonians called upon the Mandalorians for aid. Ori'verda answered this call and rallied others to join him, with Corden in tow the two managed to convince a large portion of the Mav Battlegroup of the remnant Mandalorian navy and invaded Onderon.
Ori'verda took command of this force, leading them personally from the frontlines. He had his soldiers first attack the wall from range and pierce it while from orbit a swarm of Buzz Droids sabotaged the city like locusts, after this a group of Mandalorian paratroopers rained down from the sky and carved their way to the citadel of Iziz, hoping to find the King there and end the conflict quickly.
Whilst Ori'verda was not able to prevent King Yon from being killed, he managed to capture a great deal of the royal family before they dead in the crossfire. Much of the Onderonian soldiers were purposefully stunned or otherwise disarmed.
Back on Mandalore he entered the Gauntlet in order to train himself and prove his worth, during the many matches he bested many warriors and had slain many beasts in death matches. Others had come to respect him enough to let him command them in the ring, it was during one such time that a mad Zakkeg nearly killed the other warriors had Ori'verda not ordered them to take cover and raise stakes, killing the beast.
Later during the same match, a Krayt Dragon took to the rings and engaged Ori'verda whom entered the beast through its mouth and found its weakspot, killing it swiftly. Even though credit was given to Corden who simply stabbed the beast whilst humping it like a rodent.
Ori'verda climbed out of the dragon and took with him a Krayt dragon pearl.
His final match started against an unknown adversary, after a brief but fierce struggle Ori'verda had managed to hit the warrior who was revealed to be a Sith. The Sith had received near fatal injuries from Ori'verda at range, with his remaining strength he pulled in in effort to take the Mandalorian down with him. Toppled onto his back, Ori'verda had to quickly raise his arm at the Sith and shoot his wrist blaster to save his life.
With the Sith dead, Ori'verda gave a speech to the Gauntlet's crowds and proclaimed himself to be Mand'alor.
Much like Onderon had needed his help, Dathomir called upon the Mandalorians to save their world from a mysterious threat. With little hesitation or thought the Mandalorians of the Mav Battlegroup rallied to Ori'verda's call and embarked upon their neighbouring world of Dathomir, intent on saving the native Witches.
Ground side, the Steel Talons of the 174th Legion landed in a Dathomirian village that quickly found itself under attack. The Witches aided by Mandalorian heavy armor and flamethrowers repulsed their enemy and drove them from the region.
The men battled with vigour, their commander was with them. Leading by example Ori'verda fought valiantly against his monstrous counterpart of the battle, or at least what he assumed was the commander of the mysterious primitive adversary his warriors now battled.
In the aftermath, the clan mothers of Night Sisters. swore fealty to Ori'verda if he would swear to keep Dathomir save from any threat and if he would annihilate the aggressive and mysterious enemy that was so driven to destroy the Night Sisters.
With the galaxy at an uneasy peace and his plans being carefully laid out, Ori'verda exploited the sudden influx in free time and hearkened back to some of his earlier plans. One such plan included paying a visit to the snow and frost covered world of Arkania, home to the Arkanian race of white-eyed and white-haired humanoids. His interest in such a desolate place was not just due to the role the Arkanians played during the Mandalorian Wars, many decades ago. No, Ori'verda was in search of mythical beasts known as Arkanian Dragons.
Arriving on the Chariot and quickly brushing off nosy Arkanian guardsmen, he made his way into the vast frozen tundra and the never ending blizzards. Despite having prepared for the cold, the blizzard forced Ori'verda to seek refuge in a mountain.
Deep inside the mountain, he would face Arkanian Dragons and battle them. Alone and deep inside enemy territory, Ori'verda was eventually forced to leave. Using his jetpack, he collided with a large Arkanian Dragon and woke up in its lair, the dragon recruited Ori'verda in its effort to reclaim their homeworld.
The dragon's name was Dhra'cyn'hal, leader of an army of Arkanian Dragons. Despite their best efforts and relative early success the Arkanian Dragons lost the battle of Arkania and Dhra'cyn'hal was left mortally wounded, to be taken care of by Ori'verda. The two have shared a special bond ever since.
Another private adventure took the warrior to Honoghr to learn the Stava, a martial art style developed by the native Noghri. Quickly upon arriving on the world, the over cautious reptilian race took to fighting Ori'verda in effort to keep him out of their business.
While most other outsiders would be easily deterred by the mere appearance of a Noghri, the defiant Mandalorian stood his ground and defeated many a Noghri in armed combat. It was only after explaining his wish to master their unarmed combat style and demonstrating his ineptitude when unarmed.
Outmatched by the powerful Noghri, they accepted him for his show of humility. His instructor was ruthless, for that he had the respect of Ori'verda. His training included more then just the regular unarmed style, the art of throwing weapons and other methods favored by assassins was drilled into Ori'verda.
It would take a long time but when Ori'verda left Honoghr he had mastered the Stava.
Last on his to-do list was the Echani fighting style known as Echani, and whom best to learn it from then the Echani themselves. Ever since the Empire devastated their original homeworld and mercenaries had burned their new colony, the Echani were mostly nomadic whilst still maintaining outposts and slowly rebuilding their planets.
The Echani operated a reconstructed academy on Old Eshan, though many instructors were killed or have left, it was still the best place to master their art. Similar to the Noghri, the Echani were skeptical of an outsider wanting to learn the skill and it was only after demonstrating his mastery of the Stava and defeating several less experienced Echani in combat that he was accepted, albeit under guard.
Ori'verda's eagerness to learn led to him being expelled from the academy, under fire, Echani use their martial art style as a way of communication and prolonged sparring sessions are often used as a courtship with others, so when the Mandalorian sought to hone his skill by fighting the daughter of a aristocrat, he was cast out and hunted by Echani guardsmen.
His level of mastery with Echani martial arts is at expert level, but Ori'verda is not a master by far.
Upon returning to his people, everything had been prepared. Meetings with the Verpine, Dathomiri, Onderonians and some other beings had gone well and all had agreed to support the Mandalorians in their latest venture. The Mandalorian Hegemony had been established.
Soon after the announcement, Ori'verda set out with elements from the Mav Battlegroup to convince other peoples and worlds to join the Hegemony. This was met with considerable good reactions, despite the presence of a Mandalorian assault force looming over the diplomatic meetings.
The Mandalorians rarely had fired their weapons, and as done at Onderon only in defence without intent on killing. The diplomatic meetings went well due to the charisma of Ori'verda and his promises of great economic welfare.
These promises were made possible by the Mandalorian Stabilization Act, piracy was actively being dealt with, taxation and commerce pacts made to ensure stability and eventually prosperity for the Hegemony.
To strengthen the position of both himself and the fledgling Mandalorian Hegemony and to modernize existing assets, Ori'verda engineered Project Phoenix. Named so after the Akaan Galaar, which translates into War Hawk. The success of the project can be attributed to a small group of individuals besides Ori'verda himself, architect, mastermind and executioners were all needed and he found those in the leaders of the WoutenWarship Corporation, BeskadTech and officials from member worlds.
Project Phoenix became a shared project, its goal to turn the Hegemony into a powerful faction without equal. Though an vast, untold amount of wealth was spent from the treasury to fund it, the corporations that aided in devising the Project aided in funding it.
The project was divided into several phases, the first was the construction of the Vencuyanir Battlegroup. This force consisted of new, modern designs, provided by great thinkers, designers and engineers.
Running almost concurrently was the second phase, which consisted of the construction of the Akaan Galaar itself. It would act as the mobile heart of the Mandalorian Hegemony and flagship of its military, as well as be the most powerful warship fielded by the Mandalorians to date. The redprints are classified, as is its designer.
With the completion of the first phase and nearing the completion of the second, Phase Three was initiated and the most difficult part of the Project began. Installing new defences across the vast amount of worlds the Mandalorian Hegemony had swayed to join proved difficult for numerous reasons, there were monetary concerns, political crisis and time constraints. But in the end it strengthened the Hegemony and ensured its safety.
And lastly the final phase consisted of modernizing the old Mav Battlegroup, which existed out of warship and vehicle designs that were several decades old. Many warships and tanks were used in battles stretching as far back as the war with the Empire, the Mandalorian Civil War and the Uprising as well as the battles of Onderon and Dathomir and the Mandalore Campaign. So some were instead left drydocked to be remembered and used again should the need arise.
During a routine inspection of the unfinished Akaan Galaar Star Dreadnought, an old friend met up with Ori'verda. Corden challenged Mand'alor to a duel on the warship. Unable to pass up the opportunity at testing his skill against a warrior of equal merit, Ori'verda accepted.
To his surprise, Corden first tested the warrior in a battle of wits and intellect. They played Achilrance Cared Ghame, an ancient game of strategy and luck. Vencu had him cornered at one point, having played this game for an untold amount of years and challenging the relatively fresh Mand'alor gave him a clear advantage, nevertheless, in the end Ori'verda won by relying on a risky gambit known as the Forbidden Eksodai tactic.
Corden flared up and went in for a physical confrontation, the battle ensued and stretched a great deal of the warship. Taking place at areas that were in various states of construction and even in the vacuum of space several times, but in the end Corden was defeated by sheer fatigue as the relatively small Ori'verda time and again evaded Vencu's brutal attacks.
After the duel on the Akaan Galaar, all records of the battle were reviewed and analyzed by Ori'verda. During the fight he noted several flaws in his combat style when fighting an adversary of equal stature. Precise shots would tear up his flak vest easily, his visor lacked the software needed for analysis of the combat situation and surroundings and lastly, in the zero gravity environment of the Akaan Galaar's unfinished skeleton he was worthless as a warrior.
Ori'verda contacted the Federation leader and chief executive officer of Auricom, Praxis, in order to strike a deal. In exchange for a handsome reward, the technocrat would provide dedicated and highly advanced software for Mand'alor only and so was created Scar. Scar, an artificial construct, was extremely powerful and highly capable of managing the energy of his master's beskar'gam and hack into nearly any computer system.
Solving the zero gravity and flak vest tearing problems was easier, magnetic boots and a force shield were installed.
Great Hunt was called, it echoed across the stars and many answered the challenge, both Mandalorian and outsider. The rewards were great honor, rank and loot, tripled if using the mass-produced ancient Mandalorian equipment provided. The tournament would be held at Dxun, one of the most dangerous worlds in the galaxy. Riddled with beasts that can snatch a warrior from the dense jungle, lift him into the air and break the toughest of armor to reach for the softer innards inside.
And so it was that Ori'verda entered the Great Hunt, not interested in loot or rank, purely the kill and honor. Much to his disgust however, all that he could find was Cannok and old war wounds.
Early on the filthy pests outnumbered and pinned Ori'verda, wounding him greatly and forcing him to retreat to basecamp a lot sooner then initially planned and with little honor to show for it.
