Why don't you guys just close down this Moddb page and stop wasting everyones time already? Fix the current release and just be gone with it already. You don't even have to release what new stuff you've made so far, just cancel the whole thing and keep the stuff for yourself. It's pathetically sad that there hasn't been a single update for many years, yet you still come on here answering peoples comments. Quit wasting peoples time and go do something else.

Thats something I noticed in the old version AND the DC version.
You don't get rewards for doing the main quests. In ShoC, you get 10000 rubles and a stalker suit for turning in the military documents from agroprom. In Lost Alpha, you get a pat on the back and get sent to the dark valley straight away with no supplies or anything.

No matter what I do, I can't drop items from my inventory. As soon as I try to drop something, it's instantly readded to my inventory.
You guys should give up developing this mess. Just release everything you have and let other hard-working modders use the resources you've made. You guys missed the target long ago and theres no chance of you making this "game" successful.
But how do you make them forfeit? All i can ever seem to do is incapacitate them, but I can't talk to them or do anything

Don't get me wrong, it's a great idea for a mod, but it will never happen. Theres no cohesion or harmony amongst fans of the beta. Theres Russians and then everyone else, and everyone else can't stettle down for one minute and stop fighting. If you could be more like the guys who made Black Mesa, then you'd have a chance. But for now you guys should give up and do something more constructive, like gardening.
You made a mod that furthered the world of STALKER in a good way, like MISERY. I bet that most of the haters are either brand new to STALKER and don't understand it, or they haven't played it at all, because this mod is what STALKER is all about.
Would you ever make a version of Oblivion Lost for Lost Alpha? Combining this mods features with Lost Alpha's levels would be incredible

How are you liking your lovely red 'Creator' tag? If Dezodore had any sense, he'd remove it from you because of your complete unprofessionalism. You give Team Dezowave a bad name when you behave like this.
You and Missing Information should combine forces. You're both working towards the same goal so why not?
For example, the scene in the first lab where the two Sin guys get gassed and turn into bloodsuckers, this is how I would fix it up. I'd take the recordings of the scientists, cut them up a little, apply a radio filter and other things to hide the bad voice acting, and make it into a short 1 and a half minute sound clip on the computer. At the end you can have them screaming, and the guard firing, and then have it cut to silence. Then on the computer, have a gallery of pictures that show the scientists bloodied bodies, and also one of the bloodsuckers bodies too, and have a report file detailing what happened. There is enough optional information there for the player to piece together what happened in this room, and whats best about it, is that the player does it at his/her leisure. Theres no forcing them through a 5 minute cutscene with bad animations and bad voice acting, which kills immersion completley.
And there, you've turned an embarresing, overly complex, immersion breaking cutscene into a simple source of information that the player can choose to view whenever he/she wants. Immersion is reinforced, the story is portrayed, and the player can continue exploring the lab without thinking afterwards "What the **** did I just watch?", but instead thinking "Damn, this place is hostile and the scientists here had no idea what they were doing!"

As to what Amez said, I agree. There needs to be an option to disable most of the cutscenes. A lot of scenes can be done better by simply just leaving the player and his camera in full control. It's more immersive when theres a scene, and you can actually still walk around in first person, while you and other characters speak. And most if not all the cutscenes in the first lab you go to are pointless.
Use the computer feature more. It's hardly used and it can really help things. For the lab scenes, you can just have everything written down on that computer that you can download, or maybe have recordings or maybe even a movie of that cutscene, in place of where a security camera would be. Now that would really be awesome. Hey, it's better than what's currently there. It's a pain in the *** having to make realistic animations for complex scenes, and also good voice actors. You can save yourself so much trouble and make the game look better by simply utilizing the computer feature more.
Theres so much **** in Lost Alpha that can be fixed with features already present. Instead you insist on making cheesy scenes with bad voice acting and animations. You don't need to do all this **** to tell a story. The best scenes in STALKER games are the ones where YOU, the PLAYER is in control. You have overthought many aspects when making Lost Alpha, and as a result you have not only made things overly comlicated for yourselves, but you've made a mess of the game.
You, Dezowave, should listen to people like me and others who are not afraid to speak their minds of your game. I don't hate it, I think it has great potential. But it has maybe too much work ahead of it, and a development team that refuses to listen to anyone but themselves. Lost Alpha should have recieved many more good reviews and popularity when it was first released, and especially now that there are 3 patches and an SDK. But no, the reviews have hardly gotten any better, and the popularity is very small for a 'game' of this scope and magnitude.
The lack of artifact detectors in Lost Alpha is also a problem. You should have done your best to try and port that system from Cs and CoP, over to Lost Alpha. Whats that you say? It's too hard? Waaaaaahhhh, stop crying. You took on this job of making a game, and it's that kind of attitude that is a hinderance of Lost Alpha. GSC added that system for a reason. It makes artifacts much more precious, anomalies much more deadly, and the risk that much great. It did nothing except do good for the game and the atmosphere. And by keeping the old SHoC system (artifacts are pieces of candy scattered everywhere), you have taken a step backwards in STALKER. I suggest you get to work on porting it over, and if you're too lazy, at least leave the resources and the ability in the game so the community can fully fix it.
Why can't you guys just remove that scene which happens in the Marshes when you talk with Doc? That stupid Illuminati scene is ruining your game. Just remove it completley for **** sake. I'm playing it now and it's so awful and boring, I don't think I'll be able to put up with the rest of the game.
It kills the atmosphere, and brings the pacing to a grinding halt. It is so confusing you can't help but wonder "What the **** was that ****?" periodically throught the game after that. It is so awfully put together, that you can barely understand the voices of those weird flashing slabs. And the sound effects for when the agent teleports... Seriously? Where did you get that sound effect? From the Soviet Library of Cheesy Soundeffects circa. 1973? Why not nab a soundeffect from Half-Life 2? Have you no respect for the game you're making?
Just remove it completley. It isn't needed. Infact there are so many pointless cutscenes that can be solved by simply cutting, adding the information to ingame PC's (thus actually using them for once), and by not making it a 3rd Person scene. Just show it from the players point of view, and leave the player in control. There is no need for silly camera angles, ****** animations, and disgustingly bad voice acting.

Weather is constantly getting stuck on 'af_partly'. Even using the command 'sv_setweather' to change the weather to something else will not work. I'm having to do the switch to Static Lighting trick to fix it every 30 minutes, because the weather system eventually rolls onto af_partly, then gets stuck.
