Will you offer textures that aren't completely rusted?
I mean, I think rust is fine when properly applied. But even the glass has rust on it.
After playing this release extensively, with a team of eight reviewers, my team and I have reached the following conclusions:
These observations come from a test study of eight players, using nine computers, with installations of Windows 7, 8, and 8.1.
1. Installer is causing serious issues, making small adjustments to the install procedure can and may cause inability to install, crashes, and in one rare case, a BSoD.
2. The ingame settings changers DO NOT retain their adjustments. I repeat, changes you make in the settings changers may not stay, and MAY CAUSE A CRASH.
Changes such as:
Controls
Graphics
Gameplay settings
Sounds
Can and may cause crashes.
3. The game is very dark, VERY DARK. Requiring a flashlight at 9am Ingame Time. This may just be a feature, but who knows.
4. Bugs, bugs everywhere. Quicksave, crash. Quickload, crash. Hardload, crash. Get cheeki breeki'd, crash.
5. In the event you are able to make changes to your settings, and begin to make a new game, it may crash.
6. Loading saves, when they don't cause crashes, can result in wait times of up to 10 minutes.
In this study, we did compare the stability of the computers running these tests with other players from anonymous sources, and found that our results were comparative to some of theirs.
In the end of the test, we did get 7 of 9 computers to run Lost Alpha for at least 30 minutes of time continuously without crashing, and that time WAS fun.
Final verdict: This is NOT a mod, this is a GAME. A game that will (hopefully) see patches and bugfixes in the coming days/weeks to achieve a fully functioning, crash free performance. We like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series very much and it's terribly unfortunate what happened to Dezowave's team in regards to the leak. But at this time my reviewers and I would advise for new players to wait for later patches to be released before attempting to play this game, if they don't want hair-tearing bugs.
SIG 550-sniper? Good armament, also, maybe I just never noticed it, but those chest panels look an awfully lot like a green colored Duty chest armor.
The re-texts look good. Typical black-coat bandit attire.
I full-heartedly support this update.
Do the pair of you have any intention of adding any Easter eggs to this feature?
Do you know that wood cannot rust?
I don't mean to insult you, I really do appreciate your work. Keep it up.

NightRider, despite your obvious fetish for rusted metals, I commend you for working so diligently on this mod. I hope that it climbs to the top of the list of "passable S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:Clear Sky mods".
But seriously, you might want to consider giving that handy little tool in photoshop that only selects sections of an image some love.
So you don't end up rusting glass and all, ya know?
Don't tell me to love/hate/or even play your mod. I'm just offering a suggestion.
If this mod was not so popular it would seem unkind to demand that the developer release a patch at the whim of the players. Any release, regardless of size, is entirely at whim to the developers.
Time will tell, as always.
To the developers of the MISERY mod,
I believe I speak for everyone here when I say that your modification is dedicated to quality first, and would never jeopardize the integrity of any release at the cost of quality. That being said, I'd like to take a moment to address the upcoming proposed release date you had mentioned, Q2 of 2013. Now I understand that the second quarter is not yet over, and if the deadline must be pushed back farther still then so be it. But the waiting is affecting the most of us who are highly anticipating this excellent release you've given us so many savory peeks at.
So, I ask you; is the proposed deadline of Quarter 2, of 2013 (Q2 being April - June) still the intended deadline that the release will follow? If so, is the weeks notice of release still upcoming in the following days until the end of June?
Or are you intent on delaying the release further?
Please reply to this message, or preferably, append your "News" page to inform the very curious public of people interested in knowing the date of release your updated release expectation.
Sincerely,
Piz
Still checking this page every couple of days, the tension is escalating, highly anticipating this release. Hoping the release will arrive Late June / Early July. But this project has been consistently delayed... fingers crossed, hoping for the best.
How did you install STALKER? Did you downgrade to 1.0004, or did you install the unpatched version and then upgrade? If you downgraded, it could be an error involving the process you used to downgrade. If it's an upgrade, it could be that you simply need to reinstall STALKER + ZoA.
Well, given that it's possible to take that content from SOUP and put it into ZoA, it could be done. With relative ease? Depends. It's worth a look though, immersion is key when it comes to STALKER.
v1.0004 is recommended for playing ZoA. Using any other mods will cause tons of crashes. If you need help downgrading from v1.0005 to v1.0004, try this guide.

FF,
It's great news to see that the mod has come this far and is looking so promising! I am highly anticipating the release. Although you say there are still a few bumps in the road, given enough time and effort they can all be straightened out and squared away with.
With all of the additions to the mod that you have added, I am optimistic that this will be a very promising update, there is another thing I wish to converse with you about, but I'll reserve that for a PM.
Glad to see the project looking so well! Keep the updates coming!
Good luck and good hunting stalker!

Sounds good, if a rookie were to get his hands on a PKM box magazine from a dead Duty Expert, he'd be able to feed his nugget for many a night! Keep up the great work Funnel, I look forward to your next update on the mod!
Me too, the different battle tactics will make interesting skirmishes to watch and take part in. This does explain all of those snipers hanging around the Army Warehouses a little better now.
Funnel, what other long-range tactic promoting weaponry will Freedom be equipped with?
Neat! I like this setup a lot, the Spetsnaz doctrine makes sense now considering their ties to the military, which also explains they're choice of soviet weaponry.
I do have a question that is a little off topic to this though, where does the nickname "dolg" come from in reference to duty, is it a Russian slang/translation?
What rifles are the Duty members carrying here? I might be wrong, but the center man in the front of the barricade looks like he's holding an M16 style rifle from the front post and flash hider.
I'm really digging the new look of the zone, especially since it looks so much... colder.
Nighttime is looking great! I spy a PKP Pecheneg too! Good weapon for an exo-skeleton toughguy. By the way, how does the PKP handle? Being A LMG, and not just an LMG, but an LMG chambered in 7.62x54r, firing it in automatic while standing would have dire consequences on aiming.
Unfortunately, like most FPSes, the hand models are designed with the weapons 'attached', to adjust the hand skins, you'd need load two viewmodels to screen at the same time, one being the hands, the other being the weapon, or create a different viewmodel for each weapon/hand combination. The easiest choice is to simply use the same handmodel with all weapons, that way you avoid ridiculous clipping/animation issues.
More PP2000, this time, with less bullet holes in the SEVA suit.
Good to see the new weapons are looking nice.
I am liking this very much! Nice weaponry, decent balance on condition regarding the weapons too. I'm getting more and more psyched for this next update with every new screenshot!
