Try launching it from BF2. Start up the game, and go to "Community." Then, go to "Custom Games," and the mod (and any others you install) should be listed. Then, just click on the mod and activate it!
Did you use the .zip or the .exe? If you used the .exe, you shouldn't have to do anything. if you used the .zip, copy and paste the mod folder into the Mods folder in your Battlefield Vietnam directory.
Oh. I thought that it was separate from the original campaign. Thanks for the help!
When I started the campaign, the only things that were different were the looks of everybody and the map. I got the same mission starting out as I did when I started Freelancer, and the opening cutscenes were the same. Is this supposed to happen?
Thank you, Freelancer now works perfectly! I'll keep an unaltered backup around to keep this problem from happening again.
Alright, now I have a NEW problem. I realized that I had accidentally checked 'open singleplayer" in the FLMM setup, so I deactivated the mod. FLMM had some trouble doing so, and had me restore backups. Now, I can't get the mod to activate again. FLMM just stops in the middle and spouts an error message in the log: "Error: SHCopyFile failed ([freelancer directory]/EXE/Resources.dll.flmmbak to ([freelancer directory]/EXE/resources.dll." Can anyone help me out? Thanks!
Disregard, problem solved.
I was just wondering, where can you find the map files in the game directory? I've looked all over and I can't find them.
It should work. If the mod isn't working on Windows 7 it's because BF1942 isn't working. Try running BF1942 in compatibility mode.
It's that highlighted red text at the bottom of the description...
It is not released yet. Development is very slow but as far as I know still progressing.
Well fro one thing, this mod hasn't even been released yet. I'm no Einstein when it comes to diagnosing problems like this, but more information is needed (error messages, PC specs) for a good diagnosis. Try reinstalling the mod.
In response to your comment on I44's page, some of my personal favorite mods for Arma 2 are:
ACE- a realism mod that replaces some units and make Arma even more realistic by introducing deeper first aid, removing the reticle, etc.
CWR- Aims to recreate Operation Flashpoint CWC in Arma 2.
CAA- Same as CWR except it recreates Arma 1.
Any of Icebreakr's maps, they are very well made.
P85- Cold War mod about WWIII, made by Vilas. His other mods, such as the Modern Polish Army mod, are very good as well.
Operation Frenchpoint- Adds French army to game
Iranian Forces Mod- adds troops from Iran. This goes well with the Qom Province map.
PLA Mod- Adds Chinese army.
There are other mods that I don't use but I have heard are good, such as ACRE, which makes radio communications more realistic, JSRS, a sound mod, and Warmod, which groups a whole bunch of different mods together. I recommend also browsing Armaholic for other mods that suit your interests. There is a huge amount of content there and I'm sure you will find other mods that you like that I didn't mention :) Have fun with your new mods!
No, the whole mod is free. You can donate money to the team, however.
Does this mod support custom battles?
Go to Armaholic, they have a download there.
I'm not exactly sure, but I would do so anyways just in case. Even if you don't need to patch, it will fix bugs and make your game better.
Arrgh! All the good mods I see and want to download always seem to be dead. :(
None of the download links appear to be working (except for the ones at Gamefront.) Could you guys please reupload the files? This mmod looks awesome and I want to try it out. Thanks!
For me it says the address is not valid when I copy and paste it into my browser.
The mod is unfinished and appears dead. There will probably never be a download for the mod. Too bad, because it looks like it would have been very cool. :(
Well I, for one, (due to my laziness and wish to not mess around with logistics) like WIC better. Wargame is still a good game that I enjoy, it's just not as forgiving to people who have no strategic skill at all (like me).
Good to hear. I was scared for a while that my favorite 2142 mod was dead. Keep it up! I can't wait to see where this mod will go!
Yeah, I still play it in single player. Too bad the online community is dead. To make up for that, though, I have the largest mods folder known to mankind! ;)
Glad to see someone is still making mods for BF2. This mod looks good! Keep up the good work guys!
I think he is probably working on fixes and new content. It takes a long time and lots of work to make a mod. he will update the mod when the next version is ready, hopefully soon. :-)
Hey Spyker, are you going to work more on the Operation Peacekeeper SP mod, or is it dead? Thanks!
I'm starting to think that this mod is dead. It's been well over a year since the last update, and there hasn't been any reply from the author in almost a year as well.
You're lucky, I can't even download the files :p
I looked on the forums, and at least one person is working on releasing the work that has already been done on the mod.
