No. I guess you did though?
Is it just one map, or every map in the mod? If it's just the one, there might be a glitch in the map somewhere. I don't know enough about map creation to tell you what, however.
I've never seen that error before, so I don't know how much help I'll be. Are you using vanilla BF2 or a mod when it comes up?
Very nice looking models and textures. The scopes especially look great!
This is some very nice content you guys are adding. I'm really looking forward to being able to use this stuff in-game. Keep up the great work, guys!
Thanks for pointing me to that!
Did BFSP get sold or something? I can't get on the site anymore- I either get a "syntax error" or, if I attempt to follow a link to a forum thread, porn ads. Anyone else having this issue, or should I get a new AV program?
So, I managed to fix my graphical issues, as well as some weird crashes I was having. I was running BF2 in Compatibility Mode for WinXP SP2, and had been getting CTDs when trying to run BF2 from the desktop icon, as well as strange artifacts on the ground that changed whenever I looked around or moved, and was getting a bug where my POV would tilt to one side or the other when looking around in a car. I simply disabled Compatibility Mode, and for some reason that fixed all of these problems. Don't ask me why, I have no clue. But it does seem to work. I'll test a bit more to see if the problems return.
Beautiful planet! Keep up the great work, guys!
I downloaded the map and took a quick look at the files. It doesn't have any bot support, which would explain why it doesn't show up in coop or SP.
Huh, that's weird. It should at least show up in one or the other. Are you sure that it has bot support, and that you installed it correctly?
Try setting up a co-op LAN game. Sometimes maps, even with bot-support, don't show up in SP. To set up a co-op game, go into the Multiplayer tab, select Create Game, and it'll bring you to the setup menu. There, make sure the map mode (near the map list) is set to co-op. Then, add maps and adjust the settings however you want, and play!
I guess it's just something with vanilla cars then. No idea what it could be, though.
I had the problem a few years back as well, but it had disappeared after changing computers until now. It just seems to pop up after a while for no apparent reason. It's weird.
Are the BF:K cars experiencing the bug as well, or is it just the vanilla cars?
You can probably get it on Amazon. I know it used to be on Steam, but I think they took it off at some point.
Hey guys, was hoping someone could help with a weird graphics issue I've been having lately. Recently, I've been getting a graphics bug where when I'm sitting in a car, looking left or right causes the camera to tilt wildly to one side and snap back after I stop looking around. This doesn't affect tanks, aircraft, or looking up and down in cars. It also doesn't appear to happen in Forgotten Hope's cars, for some reason. Does anyone know what's going on and how to fix it? It would be a real pain to have to reinstall just for a stupid graphics bug.
Fixing that would require someone to at least tweak, if not actually rewrite the AI, which would probably be more trouble than it's worth.
What exactly does this do?
No, this is quite an old map and appears to only be for vanilla BF2. I don't think I've ever seen this one with different layers, though. Might have to check it out!
Beautiful modelling work and textures! I don't think I've ever seen a model this well-made for any sailing ship. Very nice!
Wow, I thought it would be a bit longer before the release. Very nice looking additions! You just caused WIC to monopolize my gaming time for the forseeable future again.
Very nice! Beautiful models and textures all the way around. The mod's looking great, keep it up guys!
You need to give at least some details if you want there to be any chance of someone being able to help you.
Yes, create that directory and paste the zip file contents there.
Looks like it could be interesting. I've never seen a mod tackling this particular era, and it's always nice to see the African wars better represented. Definitely downloading!
This looks like exactly my kind of game. I'll definitely be watching this, it looks very interesting. Good luck, guys!
That's weird, the mod works fine for me. Vanilla BF2 doesn't crash for you at all? If it does it might be something with compatibility, it's an old game after all. If you're not getting error messages though there's not much I can suggest other than running BF2 as an administrator with compatibility mode for WinXP or, if that doesn't fix it, reinstalling the mod.
Do you get any error messages? If so, what do they say? Did you download all the parts and install them in order?
This looks like it could be a very interesting mod. I like the unique setting and factions, not many BF mods do Africa (except maybe POE, but that was a long time ago.) Good luck with this!
