I'm personally slightly skeptical at how one would make the War on Drugs work (especially in the US- it's not known for anything approaching large engagements outside of the more unstable nations in Central/South America)
Still, could be very interesting to see a well-done Colombian and Mexican military faction. I'm looking forward to seeing how you treat this!
Thanks a lot. I love the mod, especially how you're adding in some lesser-known conflicts as well!
Would it be possible to upload this to another mirror? Mega wants me to download its browser extension before it'll let me download the update.
What's the problem? I can't guarantee I can help, but I can give it a shot. Do you get any error messages?
Deleted comment. I screwed up the installation. Sorry!
Yeah, my graphics card isn't the best. I still expected a higher framerate for a BF2 mod, as it doesn't have any trouble running other ones. Oh well, I can always nuke the graphics settings to get it to run better if I need to lol
Haven't quite gotten in to play this yet, as the graphics overhaul slows my game to an unplayable crawl despite being run on a GTX 960M. I was getting maybe 20 FPS at most. Will be back after I take the overhaul out.
EDIT: Even after removing the graphics overhaul I get abysmal framerates when in-game, even with only 16 bots. The game is still playable at least- if only barely. The mod looks like it has a lot of promise, but it desperately needs optimization. I really hope you can improve the performance, because the mod looks like it'll be great!
Installing this mod is fairly simple. Just extract the "urbcon" folder from the zip file and paste it into the "mods" folder in your BF2 directory. Then go to your levels download, extract the "levels" folder, and paste it into the "urbcon" folder. Then you can play the mod by opening BF2, going into the Community tab, and activating it in the "custom games" list.
Nice! Downloading now. I can't wait to try out the new eras and equipment. Keep up the great work!
Yes, you can. When in the main menu, you can click in "Cooperative" and make a local co-op server where you can play against bots. If you want more bots than the server creator lets you put in, you can edit Aidefault.ai in the [pr root directory]/mods/pr/ai folder, but you'll need to fiddle with the bot ratio to get balanced teams if you do that.
Very nice! I personally like it a bit better than the tex in the screenshot, it's a lot easier to see.
You need to change the "bot ratio" setting on the server creator. IIRC 100 actually balances the teams properly, but if not just play with the slider until you get something approaching proper balance.
You guys have done a great job on the mod so far, I'm looking forward to seeing where you take it next. Keep up the good work, guys!
Now this looks very interesting! I'm loving the decision to add more eras to the mod, especially the Iran-Iraq War, you don't see that portrayed in games very often. The new content looks great, I can't wait to see it in action!
The mod is pretty much dead for MP, has been for years. Fortunately the devs put bot support into a great number of the maps, so it's still possible to enjoy the excellent BW and Ukrainian assets they made.
Nice, a WWI mod! Been wanting one of these for BF2 for ages, but all the others got cancelled. I hope you can pull through and complete this. The assets you have now look great already!
One question- how historically accurate are you aiming for this to be? Would be a shame if it was an SMG-fest like BF1.
So...what exactly does this do? Is it a full-on mod, or a map pack, or what?
This is awesome! I've wanted a game/mod like this for a long time, and now you guys have delivered! I can't click the download button fast enough. Great work, and congratulations! You've successfully revived a dead mod. I don't think I've seen that happen before. You guys are awesome!
How do you switch it to windowed mode? It only lets me change the screen resolution.

I took a quick look at the maps, haven't played much however. One thing I've noticed is that any map with the Aussies in it crashes immediately after loading. Anyone else having this issue, or is it on my end?
This is gonna be a great Christmas present. Thanks for all the hard work you guys have put in, the mod looks fantastic!
Man, that's gonna be a difficult shot...
More on-topic, beautiful models, guys! I love pretty much everything I see about this mod. It's about damn time someone remembered the Forgotten War.
No. I guess you did though?
Is it just one map, or every map in the mod? If it's just the one, there might be a glitch in the map somewhere. I don't know enough about map creation to tell you what, however.
I've never seen that error before, so I don't know how much help I'll be. Are you using vanilla BF2 or a mod when it comes up?
Very nice looking models and textures. The scopes especially look great!
This is some very nice content you guys are adding. I'm really looking forward to being able to use this stuff in-game. Keep up the great work, guys!
Thanks for pointing me to that!
Did BFSP get sold or something? I can't get on the site anymore- I either get a "syntax error" or, if I attempt to follow a link to a forum thread, porn ads. Anyone else having this issue, or should I get a new AV program?
So, I managed to fix my graphical issues, as well as some weird crashes I was having. I was running BF2 in Compatibility Mode for WinXP SP2, and had been getting CTDs when trying to run BF2 from the desktop icon, as well as strange artifacts on the ground that changed whenever I looked around or moved, and was getting a bug where my POV would tilt to one side or the other when looking around in a car. I simply disabled Compatibility Mode, and for some reason that fixed all of these problems. Don't ask me why, I have no clue. But it does seem to work. I'll test a bit more to see if the problems return.
