If you want to engage enemy at any range, use skirmishers or riflemen. Most of the line infantry engage each other close to each other to make up for the smoothbores of their guns.

The whole point of the mod is that it the gun powder 1800's version of Calradia. Map might get expanded but it will not be Europe at all.

Most of those 'features' was broken stuff or poorly coded OSP stuff that didn't fit and removed from the module in general. You are literally missing nothing.

We are planning to add 4 minor factions to Calradia with possibly more in future release, that includes possibly expanding the map a bit.

Each minor nation will have a unique theme and feel too.

Plus with the redone NCP bandits and mercs armies can have quite some variety to them.
