Just a heads up, we'd rather not go too deep into First World War style trench warfare.
Plus AI path finding really doesn't work well with defenders and trenches.
But so far, some good feedback. Some maps being dedicated around breaches whilst others being a mixture of all three.
Do you guys like tall style siege maps where you and the AI are funneled in or wider ones with a more tradtional round-ish fortress perimiter?
We won't be doing multiplayer, I strongly suggest looking and waiting for Blood & Iron for the Napoleonic Wars DLC.
Same era with a realisitc setting.
Afraid not, mainly because the AI in Imperial Age had a nasty habit of promoting and spawning the former and sadly with the latter there still isn't any sort of NPC or NPC operated artillery OSP script.
Musicians and standards were more or less retired from field service towards the tail end of the era this mod is set in.
Chengdao is also a seperate nation not the name of the continent.
When we finish the scenes and a few other things we have planned.
No it won't. It'll be a fictional set of continents, islands and land masses.
I mean it'd be a bit pointless making the map based on the real world in a fictional fantasy setting now.
We're still only just finishing up on the original Calradia and Imperial Age factions.
I'm not sure how much of the interior work for them has been done too. So quite a lot to go.
Somewhere between now and early this year. We cannot entirely say, we might do a beta release before but our sceners have a lot of work to do to play catch up.
Converted one shot early breach loaders? Not really. You'll be firing either one deadly shot or a series of shots with our guns.
We're getting a lot 'Put a version of my nation' requests which aren't all possible as we already have a tremendous amount of scene work to do with the many factions we have in the game at the moment.
We are looking at the possibility making creating your own nation deeper by allowing you to tool up your army with gear of your own choice. If possible, Frenzied could throw together some unique assets and let the player do the rest.
They are the main 'modern' weapons of most of the armies. Percussion cap muskets are the older conscript/militia level stuff. We have repeaters, shotguns and percussion cap pistols too.
We even have experimental bolt action prototype sort of rifles for very expensive elites.
We've expanded on the original map of Calradia adding additional land masses, as well as some new continents thrown in for the newer factions.
There will be no standards or musicians this time around, I'm afraid until an OSP Artillery script or mod is developed no cannons either.
The map icons and general appearince will be updated to suit the 19th century including landmarks.
We MAY release a beta version when a huge chunk of the scene stuff is done.
Unless you guys want to wade through duplicate vanilla scenes. Patience, Bannerlord won't be out for another year at least and Warband isn't going anywhere.
I'd say in total we're around 60% done with the project.
No it is not dead.
It is basically on hold, we're going to complete our Victorian Calradian module first and then use that as a stable base to rework this one.
As two seperate factions with Zulu influence in one of their lower to mid tier units.
But it is going to be a while yet.
It'll be worth the wait, trust me.
The summer ended so yeah, It's being worked on.
Our current scener is working hard getting things together.
Afraid not as nobody outside a handful of modules has done an artillery script for Warband and made it an easily to set up OSP.
Both Swadia and the Vaegirs have influences for both. Faction design is more influenced by multiple sources instead of the boring fictional faction a is just like real life faction a!
Better post those with the map and new bandit screenshots too then.
Won't happen, stupid internet drama issues.
We're a different module following the same semi-fantasy setting of Calradia.
It is obviously also set in the era before too. Balion is a canon name from Warband lore and we both used it.
We don't exactly have one unless you can provide us with two extra sceners and a dedicated beta tester.
I'd like to point out it is Nionhei, a lot of this stuff was thrown together during initial faction conception and the name was changed slightly.
That would invalidate the whole point of having the mod set in the fantasy world of Calradia. Not ever going to happen.
We're a single player focused mod.
In the future we're considering two African themed nations as well as a pseudo Boer faction.
But for now it is polish, bug fix and getting the scenes in before release.
