I don't think you can really jump and swing your weapon in this game. We'll look into fixing the missing weapon with that NPC though.
To see what skills the officers and other support staff have, talk to them in the party section.
Officers and those like it have static skill sets that augment yours, think of them as static nicely dressed cheap and disposable companions.
It is simply amazing, just do one big one for each faction if you can and have the rest be medium/small.
Part of that is involved, yeah. But if we can, we'd like to just give the tournie scene a more modern version of what goes on with vanilla Warband.

Elements of the Nord and Vaeger armies are quite Prussian. All nations take influences from pre, curret and post Napoleonic Wars national armies.
