Have you tried looking through Skirmish -> Campaign "saved" games? The Europe at War Campaign should be above the default campaigns.

Hi Dartborne! Any hope for a separate battlefront for the Tunisian campaign? Were the US (and non-8th army British) met Tigers. The Tiger shouldn't really be king of the hill fighting the 8th Army in Libya/Egypt. I actually avoid the call in because it is so much fun cruising around with all the light tanks and other early war vehicles. No mapping knowledge, so I am not able to help you with maps.

This is great news to the modding community. It adds to the authenticity of BOTB.
Size really matters because very few can do this. Gun values I can do myself.
Thank you, Halftrack.

Hi Volsky!

Q: Are you keeping the Jagdpanther for the Tank Hunters(653.Schweres-Heer Panzerjäger Abteilung)?

As much as I love the Jagdpanther, I haven't found any information listing this heavy and famous panzer as part of any Heavy Panzerjäger battalion deployed in Italy. Your source for the new Tank Hunters unit is impressive, did you find any contradictory information there?

Hope you don't mind. You see the Italian Front is the only front I have actually visited. So I have a soft spot for that front. Standing outside Cassino looking up the mountains was amazing.

Yes, they are and that's all good. What I meant is that the work they have done over the years is on an entirely different scale compared to a non-released mod. Corsix coding is tedious work. I have tried.

They also include Operation Market Garden units, so my mistake.

I see your point. Understood. It was indeed a random idea when playing a Caen mission with the Cuckoo Panther.
Just to be clear I meant recovered in the sense done by the Bergetiger where the crew magically return like nothing happened. To be honest I don't like the COH Bergetiger nor its magic ability. Thanks for answering.

Most of us know about the massiv US support given to the SU. True. But somonels is talking about the bloodlands. Read about in the book Bloodlands: Europe Between Hitler and Stalin by Timothy Snyder.

"Snyder also points out that after the Western Allies had allied themselves with Stalin against Hitler, after the war ended they had no will to fight the second totalitarian regime; as American and British soldiers had never entered Eastern Europe, the tragedy of those lands was never well known to the American or British populace" (from wikipedia only for easy reference)

I wouldn't mind working more for the doctrinal Cuckoo Panther. Actually figthing for it. In the game that would be knocking out a Panther then recover it. The ability could cost the same as the manpower now. Makes it more like a game in the game. "Look what I found! Is it one of yours?" Not only do I get a Panther, it is one my opponent used a fortune on.

In real life that would make sense because grenades are the obvious choice for suppressed infantry countering MG nests. I thougt the modders did that on purpose. Maybe the MG nests can be more deadly to balance that.

Invasion 44 is a dead end and West Front is playable but not finished.
This is the only new mod left focusing on having realistic military units and divisions that took part in Overlord, I can only wish you good job hunting. Do you at least have another doctrine tree to upload?

(I haven't forgotten N44, but that's an elite mod and difficult to compete with.)

I was just about to post this-
Question: Apart from an incredible amount of beutepanzers, what does this mod have that is different from other mods?
Then I read the info I wanted above the images. Wouldn't hurt if you put that in the summary.
Nice Flak carrier!

It's not on this site and it's in German so I guess that's why. Luckily I understand some German so no problem.

This has been tried in the Ritterkreuz mod. There you needed qualified men to actually use tanks(not wrecks)left by the enemy. Which I think is only fair. I wouldn't let anyone drive my car without a driving license.

But here they are trying to mimick a Relic Entertainment expansion pack, so that would be too much.

Haven't played this in a while. Which is a shame. Had a go this weekend. I just love the authenticity.

It's fun and dangerous fighting AI Moebelwagens. Great job on the Flakpanzer! And the Allied carpet bombing is visually satisfying. That was amazing.

Error report:
Surrendered units capture points. That is strange.
The US observation post have a German flag.
Wrong screen name for the sdkfz 252. Weren't this vehicle replaced by the 250/6 in 1944?
Strange screen name for the medic halftrack. 251/20? Are you planning night fighting by any chance?

Nice flavour to the Elefant ability if I understand it correctly. By making it possible to jam/break turrets you are actually giving it a one shot option. Keeping the vanilla combat system but pushing the envelope.

Best summary, best comment section, best gameplay, best choice of vehicles and best skins. I enjoyed it so much that I forgot waiting for the Ostheer.

Is it possible that you will include US Stuart and US Priest for the Armor Company? Since the US T17 never were used have you considered removing it? Example rewards Stuart/T17 and Priest/Calliope.

Doesn't the AI use reward units? I never saw my favorite 250/9. By the way I think it is good that you have few reward units. I want to play the game, not making reward choices or having to restart because I forgot an option.

About handheld AT-weapons. Is it possible to avoid having Piats firing over buildings? It feels like cheating. And firing a schreck/bazooka from inside a compartement should do more damage to the user than the target.

I am tracking this mod because you have good ideas and are obviously talented. Looking forward to version 1.0! What I miss is a more to the point summary. You are adding interesting features. Why not make them shine in the summary. Will there be maps based on Italian battle sites? I hope. Will the Jagdpanther be replaced by the Elefant? Having both honestly felt strange. Are you really going to include the Vichy French? Then the present name of the mod is somewhat confusing.

You guys seem eager to include the Sturmtiger. That's easy to understand. But is Ostheer the right faction? I've seen a couple of gameplay clips featuring Sturmtiger and to be honest it looked out of place in the chosen commander option. My reaction is that this unit could be better suited as a typical toy for the Terror Doctrine. An interesting reward for the V1. Both are intimidating weapons of doom and by being a substitute for the V1 it should be easier to balance.

I haven't downloaded 3.0 yet, but I miss the US Priest already.
Any chance it may return instead as a reward for the Calliope?

I used to play the game Panzer Elite a lot. Still remember "Priest spotted!" Never spotted a Calliope in the entire game.

"the Assault Pool when getting Fortress Army Tree... Requires Armoured Modernisation..."
I really hope you keep the PzIV. Woudn't be the same without it.

"Upgrades: Cupola Gunner, Armoured Skirts."(Ostheer Layout 2.0.0.0) This is exactly the same as for Panzer Elite. Why not include skirts for PzIV in 'Improvisation'(All Panzer III and StuG III units are now equipped with armoured skirts.)
No tank commander would man the cupola MG while fighting enemy troops. It's a pure AA-counter. Maybe make an upgrade with only commander.

About the Ostwind (at 00:15)
Company of Heroes 1 - There were no Ostwinds in France or during Operation Market Garden.
Company of Heroes 2 - There were no Ostwinds in Russia(maybe Poland/Hungary).
I hope the developers will not make the same time-frame mistake(in my humble opinion)twice.

I see the Jumbo as a natural reward unit for the Pershing. It will be a less expensive choice with lower call-in cool down. It will be possible to field more units. Perhaps even in a pair like the PE Panthers. Or is that too much?

While I'm at it I wouldn't mind having the iconic Priest as an reward for the Calliope. After all it was mostly used by Americans. Would it be possible to have the Moebelwagen as a Sturm Armory reward for the Ostwind since it is not going to be in the Ostheer?
