i never play a game for a challenge i play it for fun
i wont try to convince you any further
to each there own, good luck

why did you remove txt editing?
i like to tweak mods to my own playing preferences,
it is like you purposely went out of your way to close source
a naturally open source mod thus preventing anyone from being able to
construct there own playing experience using some or all of the files with there own changes to make it funner.
:( seems i'll have to stick to the older versions
i agree with one thing:
everyone should be able to get there money back if they don't like it (or atleast get to try it out before buying it)
i'd have to say your energy would be better spent just finding another game to play
there are a lot of fun little mods for this game that are multiplayer only and yet have no servers and no one playing, so they die out
if you wanna play hl2 mods you need to first buy hl2
i'm pretty sure an illagel copy wont work with mods or online (maybe mods, but no way online)
many people bought hl2 for the mods and probly wouldent have if not for the mods
you can spot errors with EVERYTHING, so sometimes it is best to just look at what was done right rather then what was done wrong
can't we ALL just get along, i wasn't just saying one side
no game is perfect, but hey with the right attitude any game can be fun
(well if the game doen't actually work enjoying it might be a bit of a challenge)
the best thing to do when you find something you don't like (game, people, or otherise) is to go find something else to do
i like half-life 2 but in all honesty i rarely every play
my point is the fighting should end, who is right or wrong don't matter
the best way to stop the fighting is to stop, you don't get peace with war, you get war
in other words, can't we all just get along?
oh also, for that reason i don't play open b.net, cheating online is no fun
i only use cheats offline in carefull amounts to make things more fun whenever i am bored
quote: if you want a drop mod in order to have an unfair advantage over other players in multiplayer games then stop reading, to prevent abuse of this mod characters will not be compatible with normal 1.11 patch characters.
if you want an unfair advantage in open b.net you'd just use a hero editor to give your self edited super items, why would anybody use a item drop mod for that?
forgive and forget
you only hurt yourself when you get ******
(happy people live longer)
everyone is intitled to there opinion, you can dislike or like what ever the hell you wont
some of the people here don't like hl2, that is fine, but this is a place for hl2 so if you really don't like it you have no reason to be here
i am not a graphics junkie i see more in hl2 then good graphics
some people will get crashes some wont to the ones that don't crash and like hl2 good for you
to those how like hl2 and it crashes seek help and support and try some forums to and i hope you fix it
to those that are crash free but dislike hl2, you got no reason to be here
to those that crash and dislike, you dislike so if it crashes it don't matter cuase you wont be playing
you can find fanboys and people you dislike yet hang around just to say how much something sucks to the fanboys (the anti-fanboys) and to a lesser extent those that like something but are not obsessed (cuasual interest) ever were, i am a fanboy but i am not blind i know the game has problems and is not the best game on earth, it is a great game i like
there are 3 active dragon ball mods on this site, i think you should all join forces and combine work!
(there are 5 dbz mods total on moddb but 2 look dead)
multiplayer? i think it is important for it to be BOTH
so if you get bored of single player you can play online or if nobody is onling you can rely on singleplayer
to many mods have made the mistake of not giving a single player option to there multi player mods and they die becuase of it
i've tried out a bunch of fun mods that were no good simply becuase there were no servers to play on so i removed them
i think you are setting you goals to high, it seems unlikely you can get all that done
it is not alwese about cpu power
compatibility can be the colprit
for me, half-life 2 is the ONLY game that crashes, not even oblivion crashes me
but to be far the crashes usualy only happen in mods
my pc is very stable and works just fine for all other games, even games it shouldent be able to play (like oblivion)
it is actualy kinda weird i can play games that my pc is no were near even the min requirements
when you make a mod likely to suffer legal issues you should work on it in secret and surprise release it so you wont get shut down before you can even get your first release out the window
well that is what i'd do atleast, but i've never released a mod so there may be more to it then what i know
i hope this mod does'nt die, it could prove to be very nerfty
i don't get why people seem to like iron sights so much,
meh never been a realism fan myself
i only have 1.1ghz processing speed and 512 mb ram but i got no lag or crashes it ran just fine from beginning to end so i guess the crashing problems is unrelated to pc power
my favorite part was the telekinese by far!
tho i wish i had better control of it,
most of the time it was more a burden then a gift, sending every object i look at in random directions
and at me, but when there were no object around to get tosed around carelessly, watching waves of enemys blow up and die in front of you just by looking at them really makes you feel powerful
like i said, i'll beleave it when i see "proof"
heat of battle
hob
if ya make an exspansion called
heat of battle: insane torment
hobit
don't know were you heard that but i'll beleave it when i see proof
they made the half-life 2 engine (source) from scratch
a demo is a demonstration, you can have demos of free things when they are not done yet
this mod kicks ***!
never played the game, but it looked somewhat interesting, hope ya don't get shut down by what ever company owns and/or made the game
this game kicks arse, blizzard knows better then any other company on how to hold interest in there games.
starcraft rocks, starcraft broodwar rocks, diablo rocks, diablo 2 rocks hard, warcraft 1 and 2 was pretty good (starcraft better tho) and i've never played warcraft 3 or wow (world of warcraft)
oh and almost fergot, diablo 2 lod rocks the most!
starcraft ghost was never released (and i don't think it ever will be)
i am not a fan of p2p, games were never ment to be sign up pay and pay and pay, they were ment to pay once and play for as long as you wish couse you now own the game and ferther payment should never be needed (even worse then how disney locks things away and pulls them out some odd years later, de-dust it and sell it rather then just get off there lazzy greedy ***** and make something new and original)
anyways my point is, the greedy company (what company is not greedy?) blizzard are the best at making there games addictive, not the best games but the most holding games that you can come back to again and agian and again (i've had lots of games and diablo 2 is the only game i never truely get bored of) sometimes i get a little bored and stop playing differ games and stop playing d2 al together but my interest alwese swings back to playing d2 for months in time, i've had d2 for many many years (i've even liked and played it when we didn't own a copy of d2 thanks to knowing other people that had it) and i've been with starcraft and diablo 1 long before d2 ever existed, infact diablo 1 and starcraft are some of the very first games i have ever played (i'm 16, so i was never into packman)the first console we ever had (that i remember, i think we had something even older that we played knightrider or something i vaguely remember two rows of light on both sides of the screen moving down and turning alot) was a super nintendo which i think we still have and ****, anyways my point is d2lod rocks your socks, sorry about going off topic a bit
