No, that beta will be released for Oblivion, we just need to clean everything up there first.
And as stated, it may be that Skyrim is not a suitable medium for us and we may revert back to Oblivion.

Minecraft, in my opinion, is better when played with friends over skype. I love to record let's plays and survival maps with my Brother and our friend (this is starting to sound like an advertisement)
But the point I wanted to make was maybe Notch should look into a voice option over multiplayer.
Chances are you'd get spammed by 12 year olds who don't know how to create a workbench though...

Currently the stuff we have and the stuff we are using can and will be used for Oblivion, so progress isn't necessarily halting on Oblivion until Skyrim's release, after we have got the grips with new engine we will play about to see if it meets our needs and if it doesn't then work goes straight back to Oblivion!

If Skyrim doesn't allow easier tools and such then we are staying :D

The new heightmap has to be created before Skyrim's release, so that we have a small head start. So if we did plan too big, then this hype would be useless.
I think the new map has better proportions though, either way it will still be awesome :D

There will not be any destruction or damaging spells because if you know the lore then you would know there are few who can use magic.
However, to remedy this we are thinking of implementing a system of buffs and just thinking of one at the top of my head, it would be Horn of Gondor boosts morale or something similar.
Elves may have slight healing healing capabilities, but it would be very faint and weak

Wrong, Skyrim will be optimized for consoles and therefore will not require a super computer.
As for MERP, the time frame has not changed much and by the time it comes out Skyrim will already have been released and it won't be considered a new game anymore

It really doesn't, it adds on a few months tops.
We're not creating this mod especially for you and perhaps you should give a thought to the hard work people put into this mod.
We're eternally sorry it doesn't fit around your time schedule.
