I make minecraft videos in my spare time and I love it! :D
Check out my youtube channel which is linked here on my page.
Remember to subscribe if you like what you see!
I also help out answering questions for MERP fans :)
You just typed in the wrong co-ordinates, which means you were somewhere else in Middle Earth, as for the map that is a problem and you should go to our TESNexus page and download the Middle earth map file and replace it :)
There is an in depth explanation on how to install it here: Moddb.com
Also, apply to our forums if you wish to be a quest writer, or if you just want to submit ideas then you can do that here, or over on our forums page which you can find at the bottom of the news post :)
Somebody buy this man a drink! :)
Dates only get people's hopes up and there's so much that can go wrong or right.
Truth is, we really cannot say any exact date because it can fluctuate so much.
If you know how to use the CS well, than you should apply ;)
Well, you could always watch the video about the installer ;)
I believe I remember Captain saying in the comments there will be an auto update!
It should update with every beta release.
The Eye will be custom made, unless we are super super pushed for time :P
I believe the installer will come with an option as to whether you want all the graphical mods with it :)
They are able to think for themselves and make their own decisions by nature, but they have a fixed temperament or disposition that inevitably involves a hatred of good values, thus limiting what they will actually choose to do
There's a hell of a lot of work, we can't dance around that subject.
However, we have a relatively large, strong and active team working on this mod. It will take time, but it will come out :)
As soon as we release MERP 1.0 there is nothing to stop anyone else from adding this kind of thing, and I'm sure many people will.
The MERP team may even bring out expansions, but it's all way too far in the future to ascertain these predictions.
There could be instances in game where you re-live other parts of lore not available, such as having the Battle of the Five Armies as your "tutorial" as it were.
However, that is just an idea I came up with on the spot, so don't regard that as real information ;)
The possibilities are endless...
Don't worry, it's almost a given that we won't die out.
Also, it would be possible, however it would be kind of pointless.
An orc has no free will and therefore couldn't ever free roam anywhere and you would have to do everything that you're told.
That doesn't really sound like my idea of a good game...
I think he just meant first of all and then Captain spoken in Greek and it was all very confusing :)
Hey there Buzz!
Sorry it took so long, but we answered your questions over on our page, thank you for your inquisitive support!
Keep the questions coming if you have any more ;)
They can vary in size, you may meet a seemingly easy foe or be faced with your toughest challenge yet.
As for where to find them, they'll lurk in the natural caves and crevices deep beneath the mountains.
Smaug too will be in the game, but alive because it is set after his death, however you are sure to find remnants of the last fire breathing beast.
Other, much lesser dragons than Smaug may be available to find (and kill) but we are as of yet undecided to put them in.
Lesser drakes would make for good dungeon bosses so it's a maybe. They definitely would be hard to kill, rare and grant you great rewards should you defeat one.
You will not be able to play as Aragorn, however you will be able to do many things that Aragorn did in his journey.
The cities will have a great sense of immersion through jobs, personalities of people and also large numbers of people.
Yes, that sword will be in game! Along with all other popular weapons as well as a few of our own designs (inspired by Tolkien, obviously)
Just to let you know we answered your questions over on our MODDB page, thank you for the questions and keep up the support!
We love to answer your questions because it shows interest in our mod, without you guys there wouldn't be much left.
Thank you again, especially for the nice and neat layout in which you presented your questions ;)
Woah, woah, woah.
Ease up with the caps lock, and you're going to have to wait for a mod of this size, sorry but we aren't the biggest nor most professional team. Although everything we create has the books and the audience in mind, which is dedication you wouldn't see at many bigger studios.
I. It's difficult to say really, we haven't finalized a method of how the battles will run, although we can tell you they will be on much larger scale than Oblivion.
II. No, you can only choose to be ringbearer as a hobbit.
III. There will be effects when you use the ring, after all it has to be more than just another item. It needs significance and it will sway the course you choose in the mainquest however much like the first question, the kinks need to be ironed out and it needs to be put in to play first. And the playtesting of the main quest will be sometime from now although our scripters/writers will provide an awesome experience for you to play!
IV. As you said, it's best not to fight them at all, you'll only see them on the deepest depths of Moria - Really deep down.
All heroes will have their own unique weapons and I believe there was talk about giving the player his own unique one too, but again it's not priority as of now :)
Finally, we have got a rather important and spectacular treat for you guys in the near future, thanks a bunch for sticking with us :)
In a very simplistic view would be that they are like Lesser Dragons :)
I can't imagine many cripples taking to arms, but there will be a variety of humanoid and non-humanoid creatures.
Petty thieves to cave trolls, MERP will have it all!
Expect the unexpected, maybe if you explore far enough, you'll get the chance to battle Fire-Drakes (Which Karthan wrote a book on for your convenience)
We are pretty awful :P
Well, being a seasoned adventurer 'an all, he would put up more of a fight than your average bandit ;)
Not to brag about it too much, but I am actually his creator ;)
The installer will most likely be released with the next beta, however that date is anyone's guess and it can vary :)
He has a set of books out:
A Middle Earth Bestiary - Volumes I - IV
You might see him roaming the wilderness from time to time ;)
Tut tut tut, you should never go into battle unprepared, maybe you need some advice from Karthan Spearedge ;) (a fictional character within MERP)
I know, I know, we are so terrible with dates, it's a wonder you stick around :P
Even now it looks like I can't meet what I said because my Oblivion has decided to just stop working... I managed to take two pictures though before it did conk out.
One of The Shire, and another on the Ettenmoors :)
