whats the address for abydos though with uk qwerty ? it's all well and good saying go to abydos but i can;t even get there yet :( don;t mean to sound like an *** btw just many times i have asked for help on this and never get a definitive answer seems they only support the french side of the community

Ok so once again I will try asking for help because my last post went completely un-answered and the community forums look dead in terms of support at least on the English side. So i have a UK qwerty keyboard this time i took photo's of my keyboard found here Imgur.com . I have tried many variations of the abydos gate adress on my keyboard and non of them work, so far i have tried
CUD,JN (A or Q) VZD.^MQ XUD,;BA and finally VUD.]MQ
Non of these work, the fact of the matter is the french qwerty must be different from the standard qwerty that the majority of us use, there for no amount of messing around on my side or the many others using a standard qwerty is gonna work, so i ask please can someone create a proper layout and at least one gate address using the UK standard qwerty so we can at least dial to a planet with a dhd after that i don't mind entering the address manually
It might not work but you could try using this Steamworkshopdownloader.com , this will simply download the selected mod link from steam workshop but you would have to manually extract and place the files as well as manually update the mod as it releases, your best option though is to buy the steam version which really isn;t all that expensive now you can get it for £10 here Kinguin.net

Hi there i managed to install the mod correctly and i have the media vps 2014 however the game tries to load the original freespace 2 campaign using the assets from the mod, multiple warning come up in game stating it will be unstable, i went to the campaign selection screen and only freespace 2 campaign is showing ???
I really like the idea of a gameboy retro feel keep it the way it is , will look forward to the finished product and will defiantly buy this when its finished

i already commented on this situation some time ago, but i think mods + paid should remain separate, it will destroy communities and i think it will further the flame of this new fad we seem to be living in where games get released as finished products and then dropped with no support, (look on steam) it is a disaster waiting to happen mods should always be free (with optional donation perhaps) because a lot of mod teams + communities love modding its a passion and when you turn that into a financial gain you destroy the very soul of modding in my own humble opinion.
i asked this before quite a while ago but didn't get any response last time i ask, i went on the official website + forums to check gate addresses for the qwerty keyboard and non of them work, the only time i managed to dial abydos was through painstakingly trying to alt tab out to check each symbol then go through every keyboard character til i hit the right one, and i did this one by one, i am using a British layout qwerty keyboard and i have wrote down the indicated key letters / symbols as stated on the website , they are all wrong so i ask again please could someone post the correct dialing addresses for a 'British qwerty keyboard' as not all qwerty keyboards are the same e.g british is different from some eu keyboards i am assuming that is why it is wrong on the official site as it is mainly french users on there. Thank you in advance and keep up the good work on the UR4 version.
All i gotta say is paid mods good riddance, the moment mod's have a price tag attached is the moment modding dies. Traditionally mods have been made by gaming community for the community weather it be to extend or enhance a game or for the challenge, even for those who wish to practice for when they do make there own games. DLC was a bad enough idea and we have all seen how this has degraded the general quality and content with base games, which in years gone by included all content for one price. Also like anything with money attached to it comes corruption, corruption of the mind, it will essentially, gut the soul of modding this is a dangerous idea one which should never again see the light of day or worse still the ever greedy gaze of companies such as EA....
i heard there has been vote cheating going on with that truck sim mod, loads of people complained and yet here we are its the winner...

aye i know that's the goal im not saying that they ai should not attack the station but it kinda throws all its eggs in one basket, as you say it uses its resources to the point where they have nothing left and then there station is defencless an average game for me atm lasts around 10 mins, in foc stock game on hard the ai uses its capital ships to attack player mines / resource hubs averaging a game time of about 30 mins per match with the opportunity to take on some tier 4-5 capital ships where as in Pegasus the ai is lucky to advance to the 3rd tier before its already dead.
I understand the limitations you guys must face when it comes to coding but perhaps there is something overlooked :) all i ask is that perhaps when someone on the team has a spare moment they could take a look into it :) Thanks in advance.
P.s - If anyone has a tutorial page on ai editing for this game i would be happy to take a look myself as i have plenty of spare time:)
Aye the calender works, however it is limited to specific days, if we had a community play page then those wishing to set up mp matches on the fly so to speak (by that i mean any time they want) can arrange quick matches on that site as it stands i have only ever had 1 mp match of this so far and i think if the community came together or perhaps organized daily matches this game would get a much wider exposure as im sure im not the only one looking for more mp matches :), i could probably throw something together on enjin in a day or so then I'll throw the post here it is 100% free to setup and maintain as well :), if there is enough interest i could even start offering teamspeak as a possibility :)

It is not that it is inactive, and i already know about the different maps it acts differently according to maps, its just that the A.I on hardest difficulty is not very good attacking, like i can hold off 3 hard ais and protect my mines, they send ships all in one attack straight for my base, and only fighters ever attack my mines. My biggest concern is iv'e i put an AI with me on my team to 2 v 2 i end up with my ai attacking really well and the opposing teams ai doing very poorly like just defending there main base. i wish i could record a game i would post a vid so much easier than trying to explain lol (just read through 5.8) that was the advise i was given last time i brought it up, however it is very weak on any map i play played em all now, and it just isn;t a challenge for me now :( also it is on a clean steam foc install no other mods present.
Also forgot to ask any chance of an AI update before the end of the year perhaps a hot fix to increase its difficulty ?
just like to ask if some folks want to make a group on here to co-ordinate some mp matches of this great mod, i never seem to catch anyone online in the tunngle lobbies these days, am i missing a specific day ?
im having an issue with the launcher, i placed it in my steam foc folder i ran as administrator as suggested but the update no longer works nor does it detect my steam install, used to work on previous versions, this is a fresh install on a newly formatted pc
i voted this mod, lots of time and effort gone into this deserves some recognition :) happy xmas from me to the devs of this mod :)
Well that's the thing even in internet lobby there is no one to play with, as i mentioned no one hardly knows about the mod which is ab it of a shame, so far i have only ever had one game against another human player. Is there a specific lobby you guys use via the internet lobbies ? e.g Germany / UK / USA / France / Russia etc as each country provides its own lobbies and at least as far as the stock game goes its generally usa + germany lobbies which hold the bulk of active players. Thanks in advance for any further responses :)

when do people play this for 6 days now i have checked both morning and afternoons (gmt) and no one is ever online in the tunngle room, and when trying online via internet game people either never heard of the mod, don;t like it or pre-fare playing EAW stock, i mean the mod is wonderful, and i can;t imagine how much time has been put into it, the only snag seems to be lack of interest tho, and im now wondering weather people promote this mod, a good example of a thriving community via tunngle is star trek fleet operations Fleetops.net i'd be more than happy to help promote your mod , i'd be even happier tho if i actually managed to get a game with someone since playing the ai is a bit to easy :)...

really great work guys i been following this mod with great joy, and i gotta say the 1.0 release has me addicted, you know id go as far to say id pay real money for a star trek game of this kind if you guys where to ever build one from scratch. The mod its self really feels professional and you can tell that a lot of time and effort has gone into this, from the ships detail to the well thought out tech trees and of course the various eye candy included (e.g warp flash fx etc) most notably i would say in your mod is the way in which you have the weapons firing as they would in trek as i myself have had issues getting the projectiles and beam weapons firing correctly from hardpoints ( i made my own private babylon 5 mod lol ), i would love a bit of tutorial on how you got round that. Also its worth asking and possibly begging lol if you guys would consider making a stargate mod for this game ? of course after this project is fully finished ( e.g expansion packs bug fixes etc)
