You require HL2 or another Episode 1 engine game (CS: S, HL2: Ep1) to run most of the mods posted here. I would get HL2 just to be certain. I'm not sure if you'd be able to run mods properly from CS: S.

If the mod requires the Orange Box Engine, it requires HL2: Ep2, Portal or TF2. Just buy the orange Box and avoid this fuss though.

Oh wow, I haven't checked here for a while, excellent work on the mod so far, I've always wanted to see a fully fledged HL2 based RTS game.

These don't look too bad, but the scratches are bit over the top. Still, better than my first attempts at texturing (admittedly they were simple on purpose).

Version of the game shouldn't matter, it all goes in the same folders.

What is it with all the SMOD mods? I know that it is a mod base, but come on, they all end up looking the same!

People need to create more unique ideas or all modding will collapse.

I'm still watching this mod, and I am seeing some progress :), which is great, but it is slow...very slow.

Also I can run the OB engine now! Which is an acheivment for a crappy family PC my parents bought me.

Somehow I doubt a PC could cost £/$10,000. Not even the top of the line prebuilts cost that much, and prebuilts are the most expensive things I've seen.

Maybe the combine just dropped the thing from a portal...

People may want to share their thoughts about the game, but they should at least contain some constructive criticism not just one word that makes it sound all bad. I had the older versions of this and it was really unplayable on my PC, hopefully this will fix that.

Its because readyroom is a beta map only the devs had at one point.

Every time I come on here to look at this mod it gets better! But there needs to be a launch soon, I want to play it.

I had to modify it slightly to get it to work in portal, but ti worked perectly

one thing I've noticed with multi player mods is that none of the development team are ever playing, I think that the devs should join the game once in a while and have fun with the other players. Im not sure if you lot do because Im still DLing it now.

Awesome, I just watched behind the twilight, and I have to say your models and animations for said models are almost exact to how you expect them to be in an resident evil game. and those hunters (the green things, hunters is the name right?) look like they could put up a fight.

Keep it up, and please, please can you tell us if there is any chance of a demo/ beta of any section of the game

OK, this may be a simple thing because all it does is change some models and effects, buuuut I think this could go far if you put the effort into the models and effects.

Just out of interest are you guys not worried about lawsuits against you for using this or is it all fine now because it such an old game?

I might fit this into SMOD, or maybe SMOD Remastered Redux V6, i dont want to mess aroun with my actual HL2 too much, but this sounds so funny what with all the complaints Gordons going to make!

alll thses weapons comments could be removed and stopped from begin posted if you decided to go with the unordinary, the strange adn the freaking huge weapons that make a game hillariously fun and enjoyable, things like miniguns, lasers and random weapons like those would keep me happy for months
