Looks like its a reference to the Jewish myth about the "Prague golem", a magical creature made of clay, created by rabbi, to protect Czech Jews against anti-semites and pogroms.

In this mod storyline, General Alexander created a division of tanks, called Golem, to protect himself and those who are loyal to him.

I'm not evil antisemitic nazi and sheeeit, but looks like the devs are trying to hint to us about the "main intrigue", (((who))) are hiding behind this mask.
