Well we have already worked out a way to have the players effect the next map by winning. What we cant understand is why DICE didnt do this to begin with.

Ah Bagah you are correct, all though we have had a picture of a fourlegged mech on our forums (removed it today since we havent decided on any Shavee mechs yet).

There has been a small spelling mistake however. The Shavee Kra are actually The Shavee Kro... Will change this now

Looking forward to this week. IF everything goes well, we should have a release at the end of this week, just before im going on vacation. But nothing is for sure!

Im sorry to say that the mediarelease is being prosponed...
We simply need more time to finish up some drawings and the content of our new website (it will have plenty juicy background material).
A week should be sufficient :)

Also. We wont be having a monthly update or anything regular like that. We will release our media when we think it is ready and it has been processed with the whole mod team. We are not making money on this and the work is completely made by people who use their precious spare time hours for this mod.

Indeed, we have not released anything yet. But it takes time to design everything from scratch, especially when our small team is not working full time on the mod.

Hey dude.
In order to play mods (modifications) you need the original game. For example Battle Craft is built on the Battle Field 2142 engine or game system so you need to have BF2142 and then install the mod on its appropriate directory (usually programmed into the installer so no worries).
Since Battle Craft hasnt been released yet, there is nothing to download. But there are plenty of other mods here.

Battlecraft is not Starcraft. We have taken inspiration from various sci-fi worlds including starcraft but it is not a complete ripoff.

Jeffman, some of the names might be changed but remember Starcraft didnt "invent" the words like zealot and drone. It is Starcraft players who connect the two words.
The Pro'zul are highly religious and with good reason, because their healers get their powers from their gods. The word zealot means fanatic or religious fanatic so it fits perfectly for a warrior.
We started basing the mod off Starcraft but we went away from it and are not going back again.

Since Protector was only temporary we have changed the protector race name to Pro'zul.
Pro'zul originates from the Pro'zul capitol planet, Pro'zal.
The humans will still occasionaly call the Pro'zul, for protectors as slang.

Hmm yes at first we wanted to make a complete copy of the Starcraft universe but realized that we wanted our own mod and avoid lawsuits :P
So now we are only getting inspiration from Starcraft and make our own models and units.
We hope to get a Concept art release out in october that you can feast your eyes on. Although it has been busy times with work and education we are still working hard to get a media release ready.
The About section will also be updated.

Also the Alien story is complete, it is written as a medical journal from the colonian defense station Tycho.
Only need the protector story finished up.

I'm Surprised that you found the mod :D We hope to get a concept art update on the newspage as soon as possible.
If you look at the Forums you can find the human background story and soon the alien aswell.
And again the aliens arent aliens from AVP, but smaller parasites mutating their hosts into what is needed. Unlike the AVP aliens, the BC aliens doesnt use humans as hosts for breeding but for fighting.

Thats going to hurt in the morning.
