This submod truly is amazing! One question, though. How is the war between Gondor and Mordor handled in 1.0? Currently it seems that Gondor gets absolutely steamrolled when I don't play as them. I understand that without the ring, Gondor should get overwhelmed at some point, but I personally feel that Mordor takes over far too quickly. Either way, greatest submod ever!

Here's the thing: Sauron is not a hero killer. Sauron's role is, I believe, a mass slayer/support hero, so he is at his strongest when surrounded by masses of orcs and other heroes. Obviously a hero killer like Aragorn can kill Sauron because most of his damage is focused on a single unit, unlike Sauron who does aoe damage. Like Cosmic_Panda said, if Sauron could kill every single hero and unit in the game, then Mordor would be far too OP. The ET has to sacrifice some lore accuracy to create a balanced and fun game.

I seem to have a problem with the installation. I install 0.25 fine and the game runs smoothly, but when I install 0.26, the launcher does not work. I get a notification saying something like the path could not be traced. What's going on? How do I fix this problem?

Well, Dol Guldur and Minas Morgul have their own form of defenses already: poison and dread, respectively. It wouldn't make sense to add tower defenses because then it would be too OP. It's up to the player to plan strategically and defend these points.

Perhaps as a new armor upgrade for trolls? One option could be Dol Guldur armor and the other Minas Morgul.

They will be a completely different faction from Lothlorien/Mirkwood.

*sigh* It's all in the news section. Lothlorien/Mirkwood will be available in the upcoming 4.2 patch. Arnor is available as a map exclusive when you play as Gondor in an Arnor map. Angmar and the Misty Mountains will be released in the future. Pictures of Thranduil are just a preview of him in the 4.2 patch.

Obviously most modders never reveal a release date ;) but will we expect a release sometime this month? Is there much more to work on? Also, will the "surprise" campaign be available in this release?

Actually I don't believe he knows German. He is using version 3.8.1 because he prefers the bfme 2 play style. Overlord and Lich-King aren't in 4.0... Yet...

How does the defend the shire mission work? It always crashes for me.
