Wow, the new version of this mod is looking fantastic. I can't wait to get my hands on this when it comes out.

So after playing Post Script AND Nestlings, I can definitely say that Nestlings was the better of the two.

The environment, while there wasn't a lot of it, was detailed and designed well. I preferred the writing in Nestlings over the writing in Post Script (although the writing wasn't bad in Post Script either), and the atmosphere created in Nestlings had me terrified, and it really had that lonely and abandoned feel. Every time I rounded a corner I was expecting Nestlings to attack me! Two things I did not like about this mod was the pacing and the ending. The writing was good stuff, but I was picking up these little notes every 15 seconds or so. In the future (because I do hope you keep making mods, I've liked both of them!), it would be nice if there was more exploration time, where you let the atmosphere and level design speak for you, instead of words. Also (POTENTIAL SPOILER AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH LOOK AWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY) I thought that the ending was a bit weak. Your actual encounter with the Nestlings was sort of boring, to be honest. This was supposed to be a grand finale. Make it big, terrifying!

That's just my opinion anyways, so take it or leave it, just sayin'. Good stuff!

Hey, I played the demo and thought it was good! The environment and atmosphere is extremely well done, the enemies were a right proper challange, and it looks like you've got a righteous plot going as well. I have two issues though. One, some of the puzzles were a little TOO challanging. For example, early on, when you have to pile up some stuff to get into a vent. Perhaps you should put some proper boxes by the vent so the player doesn't have to go back so far to get some crates? Two, although the gun model was pretty well done, and the addition of an iron sights was very cool, I thought the hand model was very bad. Other than that, it was good, and I'm looking forward to downloading the mod when it comes out! Keep up the good work!

Indeed, a little vague, but I got by with what I learned from earlier tutorials. I was pretty proud of myself when I started that dumb zombie on fire, I've come quite a long way since I began modding this afternoon, but I've got plenty more work ahead of me! Thanks for posting man!

Good mod, I really liked the rebel battles in the middle. The start could have used some work, becuase the place was so big I couldn't really figure out what to do next. The ending was hard at first, but I got it eventually. Overall, you did a good job, not incredible, but worth my time! Keep it up!

She looks like a combine though, so I doubt that John will hit it off with her.

I can imagine the conversation those two are having...
Rebel Soldier: Stand back cracker! I'll take care of these mutha #!#$ing zombies!
Citizen: Zounds! A black man stereotype!

Take your time yo, I've only just been introduced to this mod, but from what I've read from the summary, it looks like it could be incredible. I've swear I've heard the name John Dalton from someplace though...

Do you know if there is any way to use the sound mod in the basic game? I didn't like the mod very much because of all the bugs. It wasn't that bad, but wasn't worth the extra effort I put in to get it working, still, great sound mod!

The rates for the mirror are way to low, I think you should find a better mirror, Filecloud sucks!

I can't get past the heacrab storage (screenshot on the right). Whenever I click the terminal nearby, I get a bunch of random letters. Is this the end of the episode 1? Help please.

I used cheats to get past the first part, I felt like Half-Life 2 wasn't a game made for you to be sneaking about like that, ya know? However once I got past that part it was VERY good. The part at the end with the rebel allies was fun.

For some reason it doesn't let me move after the cutscene at the start of part 2. I'm pretty frustrated with it and it's far from my favorite mod, but it's alright...

Okay so I finished chapter 2, nevermind on the whole wire thing. I really liked it, but there were a few things I didn't like. The lack of bodies at the rebel base for instance. a few dead combine and rebels would really sell the feeling that there was a huge fight here. Also, that guy at the very end of chapter 2 sounded more like he was on a speaker then the guy at the beggining of chapter 2.

What the hell do you have to do with the wire at the beggining of chapter 2? Can't find a way out of that tiny room. Also, that guy sounded like he was bored when he mentioned that the Combine were attacking, and it didn't sound like he was talking through the speakers at all. Also, why exactly was your guy defended the warehouse? You should removed some of the more useless items (like the bathtub) and replace it with crates of ammo and stuff like that. Other then that, it was pretty cool, I love the chance to play as rebels, and I can't wait for the rest of the chapters.

That was amazing. One of the things that made it so great, besides its expert map design, and incredible effects, was the writing. All to often in a mod stuff like that is taken for granted, but that was great. Like the stuff in your summary, or that quote at the end (although I didn't get a chance to read it all before it faded ><), all of it was very well done. 10 for you!
