Excuse me, I was somehow convinced you used unity. I'm tracking a little too much projects. :P
It does close the inventory if you select an item. But if you click on the icon to open the inventory and keep the mouse pressed it will keep adding the item at the position of the mouse.
So what you want to do is check for the mouse input and then reset that check at the end of the frame so you have to click again to make the event fire twice.
If you have any questions not related to unity they are welcome too. I'm still learning myself but I'm happy to try to help.
I still have the same problem. If you click on something once it adds it multiple times also if you want to go to a different page in the inventory it moves several pages per click.
If you need help with unity, you can pm them to me. I think what you need is Input.GetMouseButtonDown instead of Input.GetMouseButton. That should fix it.

Ok I have some feedback
I'm not sure how to say this and it might be a bug but the controls are messed up. When you click on something it registers several clicks. This is a common problem and you can easily fix this. (I assume you have a check that is performed every frame). This makes it very hard to use the program. So it was kind of impossible for me to build something. Also it seems like you can go back in menu's. If you open the inventory by accident there's no way of going back. I understand that you just released this as proof of concept and I think the idea is great. It shows a lot of promise. But you really need to work on user-friendliness.
If this is just a bug only occurring on my pc disregard what I said.
While F:NV may be a better game with excellent gameplay additions. I think the overall feel of Fallout 3 (style, music!) was better. But that's just my personal opinion.

While it looks kinda pretty that bloom is way over the top.
You should add some Belgian beers. Like Duvel or Stella Artois.
Perhaps you can give the large empty space a parchment style background?

What a shame, I'm not a specialist but there are texturing techniques where you can paint the model directly in the workspace. But perhaps it's too late now. Now find someone reliable and get that weapon in precursor 2! ;)
Great news! Seems like hl2 mods are going commercially on unreal these days. I would do the same thing. Anyway I wish you good luck!

The green comes from a ghostly light. The city itself was supposed to be white like Minas thirith because it was build by men. I imagine it wouldn't by white anymore after sauron captured it. So I think if they'll add ghostly green lights it would be fine. You might want to make it a bit whiter so that the light reflects better though. ;)

I agree that that the music is great but it needs a mechanic indeed. I would say something like dueling? Doesn't that fit perfectly in the timeframe?

Make an option where you can edit the hud. Though most people would select style 2 then.
