Hi. Great work on the mod. It made me want to play through Swat 4 one more time. I only have a few questions:
-would it be possible to make all handcuffed/injured NPCs disappear from the map some time after being reported (like in Swat 3) implying that there is another team picking up and evacuating them ? This would prevent secured NPCs from being accidentally shot and it would make much more sense (you normally dont want to leave a handcuffed bad guy in the same room with a handcuffed hostage).
-also adding a way to silently ask a civillian for compliance without screaming and alerting bad guys in the next room would have been nice.

The things You`ve mentioned aren`t present in the current version of the mod.You can install the EP2 enhancement pack (it adds better looking objects and textures - link is somewhere on TTLG forums) or wait for the 1.0 version of the Thief 2 HD Mod which will probably add HD doors, objects, and NPC skins. In the meantime You can still play through Thief Gold and Thief 2x with their full version HD mods.

Thanks ! Please excuse my stupidity by the way. I always used auto equip and didn`t know there was an option to turn it off. Great mod ! Hoping for a Thief 2 update some time in the future

Great update as always but: When I pick something up or open a box, my inventory doesn`t immediately show that object as selected. Do You know how can I fix this ?

I had the same problem when looking at plants or large fireplaces. lowering the frame rate cap in cam_ext.cfg helped a little with that. The line you`re looking for looks like this:

framerate_cap 100.0

I changed it from 100.0 to 60.0 and it is much better.

I`m experiencing invisible ropes coming out of rope arrows. At first I thought they just didn`t work, but the rope is there - imbued in the potion of invisibility ;P Any suggestions for a fix ?

Earlier today I uninstalled my t2x and installed it Your way and I`m getting a much less smooth experience with lots of micro stutter. Not sure why is that. I probably have to install eveything from scratch.

This is how I did it: You install Thief2x in your Thief 2 folder (via the installer from Thief2x.com), you download the New dark 1.22 for Thief2 from here Ttlg.com and unzip the New_dark.zip archive into Your t2x directory (this makes t2x use the new engine). After that You unzip the contents of HD mod archive into the aforementioned t2x directory and run the t2x.exe

The gameplay basics are pretty much the same with some new features and refinements + much better graphics. It doesn`t have a lengthy campaign with good voice acting, cutscenes and an overarching story. There`s just a bunch of separate fan made missions.

The game has a very convenient mission downloader and lots of options to play with. Each mission You download has its own separate story to tell. Most fan missions are really good and manage to capture the Thief atmosphere really well.

I didn`t play it much beacuse of very long loading times and variable performance on my PC (which is a bit old to be honest). It`s best to play this on a fast pc with SSD. Cheers :)

Nice work but... IMHO: SS2 doesn`t really need a remake as much as the original does. You can make system shock 2 look really good with mods and the New Dark engine works fine. All that "panting and sweating" in a HD Citadel Station on the other hand, would have been much more interesting ;)

I can play the mod just fine for the most part but.... Whenever I look at a fireplace (or any large body of fire :P) I get a significant performance and fps drop. Can I do something about it ?

I have an intel dual core 2,5 ghz processor, 3 gb ram and geforce 9500 GT.

Well I`m running this on an old Intel Dual Core with affinity set to both cores and it works fine and stable all the time except a few cases when the game crashed at the time I wanted to exit to windows.

Normally it would use 100 % of one core but it seems to work fine with affinity settings, thus splitting the CPU usage which is very good indeed

That is one awesome mod !!! Looks very nice and seems to be well optimized. I just got to the Ramirez mansion playing the 0.9.0 version. Some doors (on the perimeter watchtowers) have old textures but I don`t really mind that since it is not 1.0 or higher. Keep up the great work :)

P.S. I`ve never finished this game earlier but now I have a new incentive. it was worth waiting for :)

Hi is it possible to make the player and AI comrades walk and run faster (the in game speed is really too slow). I remember playing a different mod that increased the speed so it is posssible, but I`m not sure if I can combine those mods :(

This is the most highly anticipated mod right now for me, and I just wanted to ask:
-How are things with the project ?
-Are you going to add any other gameplay features like sprint/faster run, or the ability to climb small obstacles (like Rogue Spear) ?
-Are you going to add any new special equipment ? (for example: snake cams, more grenade types etc.)
-Can we expect some new AI tweaks ? ;)

This kind of sucks. If I ever wanted to remove the crosshair I would do it in the hud menu within the game. I don`t mind playing Red Orchestra or Takedown without the reticule, but RvS feels weird and it`s somehow really hard to aim that way in this game.

P.S. How exactly did You remove the goggles ?

I can agree with counting bullets and all. Liked that feature in Red orchestra, but.... the goggles are still a pain because:
-you can`t see how much mags you have left. That`s not realistic. Real operators just look at their mag pouches, but you can`t do that in a game.
-you can`t see the rate of fire set on your weapon. Again, real operators just look at their selector. You can`t do this in a game. That`s why you have a hud.
-Lastly, how do you request status reports in Raven shield ? I remember doing that in Rogue Spear, but in RVS there`s just this display under button "7", and it doesn`t tell You the go codes, just health and ammo

Hello. I really like this mod but there are a few issues I need to address:
-I`d like to be able to enable the crosshair, which was present in vanilla game.
-The "goggles" overlay completely obstructs most HUD elements and it`s impossible to see how much ammo you have left or what are the other teams doing (for example: which go-code are they waiting for).
