Thief 2X HD Mod v1.2 is out!
"T2X: Shadows of the Metal Age" is an unofficial expansion of the game "Thief 2 - The Metal Age".
In T2X you will take on the role of Zaya, a female merchant sailor, who is undertaking her very first visit to The City in order to trade and meet her cousin who she has not seen since she was a child. Little does she know of the dangers that lurk there.
Installation:

Just run it through FMSEL as any Fan Mission!
(Thanks to Ricebug for the FM-conversion of the expansion!)
NOTE:
If you have also installed the "Thief 2 HD Texture Mod" you have to deactivate it: Rename the "HDMOD" folder into "HDMOD_".
Don't use this mod in combination with the "T2X - Necro Age Mod"!

The mod requires a full installation of the original Thief 2 game, patched with NewDark which is included in the Tafferpatcher!
The HD mod requires a lot of graphic and CPU power!

I know you haven't worked on this project for quite some time but since you are the creator of all three HD Mods I would like to ask whether or not an updated version with all the tools from the "Thief 2 HD Texture Mod" would be possible since I'm missing stuff the like the water tool, etc?
I wonder if it's possible to revert all graphical changes except 32-bit lightmaps. That would make it more faithful to the original while fixing the issue with most older T2 maps. Possibly it would also fix microstuttering some guys are experiencing.
Apparently it's very possible and rather easy. No need to fiddle with editors.
Just removing all HD texture and mesh folders and placing the ones from v1.1 instead seems to work well.
The folders to remove and replace are: bitmap, books, fam, mesh, and obj.
Edit: Don't replace "skyhw" under fam because it breaks skyboxes. Rain looks weird without clouds.
I'll probably try to post a "classic" version of sorts if you allow me but only after some tests.
We know you love your 7-zip, but is it somehow possible to use this mod without the micro-stutter every 3 minutes caused due to the overuse of 7-zip?

Du kannst doch den Deutsch Patch 1.0 herunterladen. Ich würde mir momentan keine große Hoffnung auf einen neuen Übersetzungs-Patch machen, da ich gerade überhaupt keine Zeit habe weiter daran zu arbeiten. Gruß
I want to change the water to number 5 using the water mod tool but it doesn't change it in Thief 2X. It only seems to work for Thief 2 HD and Thief Gold HD?
It doesn't work for T2X.
