I have thinking about remaking this mod for the new game, Wargame: European Escalation. Set in the cold war it would mean that the Swedish faction would use period weaponry such as the S-Tank and other unique Swedish weapons. The Cold war era with the constant threat of Soviet invasion is also more interesting than any farfetched modern Russian invasion.

But at the moment its just an idea.

Seems like you forgot the roadwheel models in the script.
The Stridsvagn 2000 project didnt realy make it beyond the drawing board. Strv102r.tripod.com
Its role was filled with the German Leopard 2 tank adapted for swedish conditions called Stridsvagn 122.

I am pleased to announce that i will donate assets from my now defunct project "Operation Garbo" for use in Assault Horizion. Including the Swedish Faction and Civilian objects. Outcastone will adapt the swedish faction and units for use in the new mod. And there is a possibility that the civilian objects could be used in new maps.

I find it kind of stupid to make yet another russian faction when there are like 4 mods out there that have a russian faction

Here are a few suggestions how to make the factions different from one another.

Russia:
Good:
:Fast units with alot of firepower
:Very powerfull artillery and Anti-aircraft
:Cheap infantry
:alot of unique units like BTR transports and Hind helicopters
Bad:
:most of their air units are specialised for a certain role
:fields mostly upgraded soviet era units, newer units are expensive.

USA:
Good:
:Strongest airforce, can unlcok stealth aircraft
:good allround ground units
Bad:
:expensive units and upgrades
:lacks a powefull anti-aircraft unit, without air superiority the US are vulnearable

One thing to remember when making a realism mod is that you can never include everything that the army uses in Real life.
for example if an army has 4 tanks in its real army it would be realy messed up ingame balance wise between them unless you dont have a good tech-tree or generals powers that unlock the better tanks.
I had to remove a few units from my swedish faction to make it more playable. Im simply saying that you should narrow it down to the most common and important units in the army,
take a look at joakims proposal that is nice and streamlined

Another important thing to remember is to make the factions unique, even though all armies have the same basic units there are some differences between their tactics and weak spots.
havin all the factions being basicly the same would harm replayability badly.

aspecialy with school that i find far more important now.

The T90 is a heavily upgraded T-72
Not an entirely new tank.
much like MI35 is actualy an old MI24
with new engines etc.
Pretty much all modern MBT,s are upgraded designs from 70,s both european,Russian and american

BTW alexei, you should defiantley remake the chinese faction completely

Helicopters: HKP-10 (Super puma), HKP-4 (CH-46 Sea knight)
The roadwheels are modeled separatley so they only appaer ingame.

ill release a new version incorporating these units and some tweaks

i would realy like if you made more realistic and dramatic helicopter crashes, i want rotorblades flying and helicopters ripping apart.
the current animation is dull,the heli starts to burn and eventualy explodes.

The UAN faction is my favorite in terms of design,
but you realy need to redesign some of their units.
The planes look like cold war era soviet airplanes that appaears ancient in EC,s futuristic setting, and please redesign the UAN infantry, something like RA2 conscript or ROTR shocktrooper would be more suitable for a faction like UAN

Puting back the old teams just doesent work.
Sweden got a different damage and armor system,
so the game is extemely unbalanaced.
it would almost be like putting back the old factions in mods such as CWC or VGO.
and sweden doesent blend in with the old factions like for example Russia in ROTR,
the infantry are smaller and the "art style" of the units is different from ZH

There already 2 Russia mods outhere, and i think any form of merger is out of the question.
it took me about a year just to learn to get good at moddding and another year to make Sweden a good,varied and balanced side, i also wasted lots of time trying to get a new gameplay system that worked poorly.
Ive been doing this mod pretty much all by myself, and dont know any people that have the needed skills or interest to help me with the development of a mod for 6 year old game.
Im going to upper secondary school this autumn and i dont think ill have enough time or ideas to develop a second side, dont forget the time and effort i put into making sweden. A new side needs
good textures and models (ive only made a handfull for Russia)
A unique, realistic and varied roster of units
New sounds and voices
A full set of structures with all the different variantions (damaged,snow,night etc.)
A good set of upgrades
Unique and varied generals powers
