So, good news. This mod is actually closed. BUT, I have a new mod (just a cosmetic one fot the vanilla Generals)

AFTER THAT UNESPECTED BUG SERIES FROM YOUR PC'S,
I have decided to make a patch.

I'll need to list all bugs you all found in the mod:
FOR BUGS:
- Email me with bug pics at : ligeiro_2d_art@hotmail.com;
FOR GAME CRASHES:
- Send me a e-mail that contains:
- Your pc configuration;
-Open the release crash info in your "my docs\Command and Conquer generals Data" And attach it together;


"IF YOU ALL THOSE DOWNLOAD THE MOD DO IT, it will help me to find those bugs. So lets make this mod get out from the 68% of approval to go it very higher! By the way, its the only one mod for the normal Generals series that have more than 3 teams."

MAJOR FPS GAIN


Hello everybody!


How are you doing? Well I’ve been receiving a lot of complaints about FPS issues that happened with TCO last few months. Well, lets say its "fixed". In a way that I didn't like that much, but most of people who I shown, liked. Turns out that is not that bad. But well, as you might know, I do work on UNITY to make TCO. Since then, I've been using HDRP rendering pipeline that gave that ASTONISHING visuals to the game. The day-night transitions, the glares, the sunlit images. All that was awesome to me. BUT, as time move on, the HDRP didn't got much optimized ever since. And the FPS issues kept an issue!

Well, tired of complaints, I did removed the HDRP pipeline and changed to URP. MUCH less awesome, but I managed to make something from it. And Still. I'm trying, please guys, have patience! haha.

Now, with less than 1000 rendering pass (1840 on HDRP frame eater), the game runs in a good stable framerate. More than expected as you can see in the image below. DOUBLE it. From that point of view, the game runs smoothly now. And probably runs better in low end computers over there.

I hope you all enjoy it! This been a hard take, but had to be done. Its a major change to the game and you all are welcome to post your feedbacks and suggestions on this channel.

There's some issues around here and there. Please you are all free to post it or ping me about them. Some of them I might even seen it since this move was a very bold move and stupidly hard! (work wise)

Hello man! I was doing a process from the game industry, which consists on creating a hipoly detailed model on 3ds max, then recreating it, but LOW poly quality, then bake textures inside substance painter.

The thing on converting to the game is basically doing a very good diffuse texture and applying it on RenX/Gmax, then exporting W3D format (which is the format that the game reads as 3d files)

TCO demo takes too long to open. I waited for like 2 hours and the game still have black screen

I'm sorry about that experience.
Probably you have a low end PC that don't support the game. He needs at least 4gb ram FREE to work properly

I got 6gb ram free, but if its the low end pc, Im using a laptop since my PC broke since its many years old and breaks easily now

Also, try go options and select fastest. In this way it takes care of the problem with overloading GPU too. It uses HDRP mode. And because of that, the game uses a good portion of GPU hardware. So if you're playing on a Laptop, probably using FASTEST mode will help.
Also, if you don't mind, comment next on the file page or the game page. I did posted here for gathering more people. Not that is fully related. Its inspired by that mod though.
