In PC version there is a bug that prevents to move single vertex in any direction, you can move two vertex that lays at the same edge, but single vertex movement is impossible. Sometimes even with two vertex that shares one edge it's impossible to move anywhere but up/down. That's very annoying bug makes creating complex brushes impossible. A quick fix could be nice solution for this as you supports only Linus beta testing at the moment...

Did you disable vertex restriction mode?

Ahh, everything is working now. Indeed i disabled vertex restriction mode and now I can create "illegal" brushes :) didn't know there is such an option though... Thank you very much, and sorry that i though it was bug.

But one more question- is there a way to increase fps in 3D view? It's not an important think in map making but VHE have definitely more fps when moving the camera :p

In general, JH shouldn't be much slower than VHE in 3D windows.
However it depends on map complexity. Also, FPS in JH is intentionally capped at ~40 fps for active window and ~20 for inactive, this should be enough for smooth model animations and camera movement.

I am trying to set it up correctly for Action Quake2 (or even Quake 2) mapping. But I am having problem getting the editor to load the textures I select. I select 213 textures and it only loads/displays 18 textures out of those. Why doesn't it load all the textures correctly?

There are no errors when loading the textures and they load/work/display fine in other Quake2 editors. What am I doing wrong, are there any restrictions/rules that can cause the textures not to properly load in Jackhammer? I have tried adding textures pointing at a folder, selecting individual files. Same result. I have tried putting 4 textures in a separate folder, naming them 1.wal, 2.wal, 3.wal, 4.wal and making sure they don't have .tga's with similar names (if that was the cause of the issue).. but no.

Please help me out, can't figure out what's happening. I want to be able to successfully load Quake2 textures into Jackhammer editor. Thanks!

I tested Jackhammer with Quake 2, and it loads all its textures fine.

I didn't have problem loading the default Quake 2 textures, I just got the feeling that many of them didn't load. But the real problem for me is to load my custom textures (or almost any texture from my aq2 texture folders), which loads fine in other editors. Are there any restrictions to why it might not load a texture? Something that isn't supported?

Really want to use Jackhammer for my upcoming maps! :)

There could be a problem if the name in WAL file doesn't match a real texture name... But more tests are required. Would you mind posting some textures that ain't loaded by Jackhammer?

Thank you for the feedback, and sorry for wait time!
The issue was completely addressed.
Your WAL files did not contain mip names imprinted into them, like original Q2's do, but Jackhammer relied on them upon loading. Now it will check for empty mipnames and generate them itself where necessary.
Please grab a new version when it is ready.
