This group has been formed to gather the people who enjoy Japanese anime and all of its facets, to salute the people from the land of the Rising Sun. It's also a good place for those that have been influenced by it to help them create the mods they are working on.

Hello again, this is PlinkoTink with the News 14 for Lift Mod.
It looks like this month belongs to our 3D modeler Doug, He just wont stop making stuff. So to start things off, lets show off one of his most recent works, the Monsoono

We saw this LFO used for basic military opertations throughout most of The Eureka Seven series. That fact alone makes it a perfect candidate for The arena. While its not the best LFO on the market, it has enough armor to keep it in the fight, just dont expect to outrun anyone.
On top of that we also have a new map model in the works, and when I say we I mean Doug.
The GekkoState will be the center piece of our newest map. Once compleated expect to be able to roam the halls of the ship and perhaps speak to some of your favorite characters from the show? Keep an eye on us for updated versions of this model. Thats about it for this month everyone, over all production is moving forward in every department, which is probably why I was able to change
our release date on ModDB.
Our team has been meeting every week using ventrillo to give progress reports and bring up issues. All in all we have never had a tighter team. From the looks of things its time to start doing some team interviews.
Look for that next month.
I would like to once again extend an invitation to any character modelers
and skinners. If your skilled in unwrapping models and skinning them, then
please send us your application to Lift_mod@yahoo.com. As always Our
forums has a help wanted section if you need anymore information.

So whats everyones all time fav anime? its hard to choose prolly.
For me its Eureka Seven (go figure)
It had a great plot that wasnt too confusing but still had twist and turns. It didnt keep all of its secrets till the end, it let them go at a good pace, which keeps you interested. Sadly The story doesnt realy pick up till after episode 10, which made a decent amount of people not watch it.
Me, eather Gundam Wing, or Bo7
btw, If anyone has ever wondered where my avatar came from, its a show called "Di Gi Charat". recently, Bandai started bringing out DVDs in the US of the remake series "Di Gi Charat-Nyo!". I think there are 4 DVDs out atm. I had some old fan-subs up on Veoh for a while, but I took them down once I started to get the DVDs.
sorry guys, but if you want to see it you'll probably need to pay the COMPLETELY unfair $20 price <_<[/sarcasm]. but beware, the voices they chose absolutely suck, so its best to have the japanese audio on >_>
I've watched anime for years when it was decent shows on air here in the UK.
Gundam Wing, the Tenchi series', The Big O. I like Full Metal Panic! too.
I was shocked to find that theres a new series of Gundam airing in Japan right now :O
FMP? Hell yeah.
Favourite Over-all: Full Metal Panic! / Fumoffu (just rewatched this yesterday actually) / The Second Raid
Favourite Comedy: Seto no Hanayome
Favourite Action: Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann
Other noteable titles (in no particular order): Shakugan no Shana, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Mushishi, Black Lagoon, Ghost in the Shell, RE:Cutie Honey, Kekkaishi, Seirei no Moribito, Clannad, Code Geass, Dennou Coil, Moyashimon
I've been watching anime since i was little, but i only recently (within 5 years) started to watch it subtitled with Japanese audio.
sometimes it seems like the English voice actors don't care one bit about anime (or good acting >_>)
Yeah, but you got to look to the ones that do, like Greg Ayres, Johnny Yong Bosch, and Steven Blum. ;)
I don't like naruto, but I don't hate it.
Naruto Shippuuden is so far alot better then the previous, but I'd say that's mostly due to the fact it hasn't hit the need for fillers yet.
I finished ep. 20 the other day.
Yeah, it's starting to pick up again, thank god. I was really starting to give up hope. But after Episode 16, I started to really watch the episodes (instead of skimming through them like during the fillers).
you need to put quotation marks around the address after url=
ex: (url="youareel.com")youareel.com(/url)
if it still doesn't work, THEN you can call the code homosexual even though it doesn't have a preference either way =)
