Warzone 2100 is a real-time action and strategy game set on earth in the 21st century. Upon entering the postnuclear world of Warzone 2100, you establish your base. Here you conduct research, design and manufacture vehicles, build new structures, and prepare your plans of global conquest.
Each campaign features a large campaign map and six or more sub-maps. As key objectives are reached on the campaign map, missions are activated on the sub-maps. These missions are varied and feature everything from hit-and-run attacks to holding territory.
The combat is fast and frantic with amazing effects and a true 3-D world with rotatable and zoomable cameras. Weapons range from bullets and lasers to explosive weapons that blast large areas of the highly detailed 3-D battlefield.

Hello everyone!
Since we received several requests about the status of Warzone 2100 on Desura, I would like to clarify:
The Warzone 2100 package for Desura was created by the Desura team and not by the Warzone 2100 Project. They do not maintain it anymore, and the Warzone 2100 Project never intended to do it. So unless a volunteer steps up, there will be no updates of Warzone 2100 for Desura in the near future.

Wouldn't that be the 22nd century?
2100 is the 21st century. 2101 is the first year of the 22nd century.
2000-2100 is the 21st century my friend. So 2012 is the 12th year of the 21st century. If you remember when it was the 1900's it was the 20th century....
that wouldnt strictly make sense, 2000-2100 being 21st, because then you could say 2100-2200 is 22nd, theres a crossover, and when the clock ticked over for the year 2000 we entered a new millenium, so, in short, surely the year 2100 WOUld be the 22nd century
When can we expect the 3.x series on Desura?
To run it on Ubuntu 12.04 I needed to do following:
sudo apt-get install libglewmx1.5 libphysfs1 libminiupnpc8
ln -s /usr/lib/libminiupnpc.so.8 /usr/lib/libminiupnpc.so.5

I didn't it workwd out of the box for me....
i swear to god i saw this or atleast almost the same game on PS1 , it was so much fun and i knew i reconize the game again. and now even for PC <3 ty bro's
Yep, same game, the developers gave it away open source to its devoted modding community when they went under and it's been worked on, improved and kept compatible with modern machines pretty much non-stop ever since.
