Red Alert: A Path Beyond brings the exciting storyline and epic clashes from the classic Westwood Studios game, Command & Conquer: Red Alert to realm of first person shooters, with a twist. We've remained loyal to the style and feel of the 1996 classic, while integrating content from its expansions Counterstrike and The Aftermath with a bit of updated history to add to the mix. Built off the W3D engine Westwood Studios built for classics such as Earth & Beyond and Command & Conquer: Renegade finished up in 2001, we help bring the fight to you as you play out your role as any one of a number of infantry classes participating in team-based combat that often involves land, sea, and air combined-arms clashes that just don't happen in any other game. Oh, and did we mention it's FREE?

It's coming along great! Say, when can we expect to see this technological wonder in the game?

Hm. Not the next bugfix-build (2.1.2), but the next new-features build after that (2.2.0). Anybody who downloaded the Maps & Mods SDK we put out might have noticed a very early test version of the Chronotank was in there.

"I want it."

"The Allies are calling it 'Chronosphere Technology'. My sources tell me it is done with extremely high energy signals."

"I WANT IT."

- Joseph Stalin and Georgi Kukov

"We have also earnt the right to be the first to test the newest addition to our arsenal, the Chronosphere. With this to help you, even Stalin's new Iron Curtain will not be able to stop us!"

- Gunter von Esling

V2 Rockets, Gap Generators, and now the Chronosphere. Gotta love German technology. :D

I noticed a currently-useless button assigned to "Chrono" in the default settings of the latest version. I have no idea how this chrono feature will work in a fps game, but it will be awesome. The soviets will need something to counter this for balancing. Maybe The Iron Curtain isn't as far from release as we may think...

Don't forget if it stays true to red alert it will only be able to transport one vehicle at a time it's of course up to the producers but this is just a guess.

edit. Now I'm exited this pretty much proves the chronosphere will feature in APB eventually.
